Hey Scott, best way to prime/seal those split face tiles is with a spray bottle. Quicker, no seepage and you can kick a bottle over without making a mess!
Hi Scot hope your good mate.its very Tidy an very Lush as always top job by a top trades man. When we going to get the 1st dance i no you got a bad foot by we got to have the dance.Take care chat soon Tidy
Another great job and video + humour. What thickness were the tiles and do you think the fugapave filled the joints as fully as a slurry? Keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching JC glad you enjoyed the video and as for the fugapave yeh you push the grout in anyways so does fill as easy just not as messy which is a bonus I guess 👍🏴
Hi Scott That Corton copper looks really nice ? Bet it looks even better wet ? 👍Great to see your kevell of expertise pal 👍 how you boys cope in the valleys 🏴🏴 with that rain and wind my hat goes off to you lads , we have it bad here 👍👍keep safe pal and lovely work
Where the fall goes towards the house, is the drain still level, or does it slope down? If it slopes, how do you accommodate having a sloped tile versus a level drain? I have a similar conundrum!
@@tidybrickslandscaping thanks. What do you do with the fall of the slabs when the fall direction is parallel with the drain? If the slabs fall, you’ll see the side aspect of the drain? Then when they reach the next section of drain (when it comes back parallel with the long length of the house) they’ll be lower than the drain now?
Hi there! The job looks amazing, well done very proud of u. Can I ask one question, when you slab half a grass lawn area what stops the tiles moving between the grass and tiles, basically what holds the tiles in place? Thankyou. Carol x
@@tidybrickslandscaping Thank you so much for your reply and the answer to my question. Brilliant! I'm going to have a go...if one mess this up I believe I will have to call you to give me a price in order for you to do the job. Do we need to seal if the porcelain is unglazed or rough in texture?
Apparently you can seal everything these days so hard to say 👍🏴
@@tidybrickslandscaping Okay. thanks!
Hi Scott, your fail on the tiles was towards the house ? is this ok. I noticed you did have acco type drain next to the house
Yes that’s because it had to go that way. That’s why I put the aco system in 👍🏴
Where the fall goes towards the house, is the drain still level, or does it slope down? If it slopes, how do you accommodate having a sloped tile versus a level drain? I have a similar conundrum!
@@nvrhys the drainage channel is always laid level against the house or it would look odd the water will always find it’s drainage outlet 👍🏴

The cement under the tiles plus the primer and gravity does the job. Also the hardcore base under everything don’t forget. 👍🏴
Hope that helps 🤞
