in response to the game being old enough to drink: in Netherlands, age for: -driver's license: 18 -alcohol: 18 -voting: 18 -die in the army: 18 USA: -driver's license 16 -alcohol: 21 -voting: 18 -die in the army: 18 So in the USA, children are allowed to drive, but adults of almost 21 can't even buy a beer, but they are allowed to sacrifice themselves in the army... somehow i find this a bit backwards ^^. I'd say it takes more responsibility to drive or to enlist than drinking a bit when young. But hey, that's just my little opinion, right?

For all those disagreeing with skills, equipment, etc, go ahead and make your comments constructive at least saying what think is better? I spent $8 to get all this gear to try it out for the hell of it since I havent played D2 since I was a kid and am going to play D2R and just wanted to see how this worked. Not having played game in forever, I got my pally rushed and leveled up quick, followed this skill/attribute wise, threw on the gear and went into uber tristam with no prep or strat or experience not knowing what to expect, just walked in middle and killed all 3 together easily and simply no effort/danger, went around doing everything in the game from mapping, MFing, rushing others, etc Seems pretty damn awesome to me, destroys everything, invincible, simple and easy and quick. While it may take some time/expense to get all this stuff, it kicks ass So at least include what you think is an improvement or similar ease of doing literally everything with no effort or changes needed for less investment, or what you think is the best since "this isnt even close/clickbait" all the lets plays, guides, posts I see about other builds have gear swaps, places you cant go, things you cant kill, strategies and effort while this can go everywhere and do everything with no changes solo or in a full game I tried blizzard sorc, summon necro, trap sin, hammerdin, nothing felt as strong or as simple as this, no annoying immunities to deal with, no gimmicky skills that dont work great in small spaces or certain areas, or annoying skill patterns you have to put effort into aiming to hit things, just simple destroying everything everwhere.

Diablo 2 was my first video game, and I finished it with several characters but I never played paladin, I didn't even get to discover all the runic words, I only discovered 2, at that time I didn't have internet and didnt know english xD. Make more of these, with other efficient builds and other classes! Very helpful and informative. It really helps out a lot of people who need an actually useful guide and step-by-step on how to level and build out the characters. Most guides out there are horrible, live streaming is too long and doesn't help, but this was finally a breath of fresh air.

Ok i watched your Tutorial several times and i am really need to say, In this Guide there are all aspects included which address this into a good tutorial. It's for everyone understandable and u have personality (humor lel) And I am impressed u created a tesladin Build which is viable for all areas in game. In legit PVP, people don't use abs, so this build is actually great as well for dueling. Keep up your content, I love to watch more of it.
in GM duells 1raven / 1 thundergods is allowed btw ... and there is nothing called "legit duels" there is GM and BM duels, GM duels take place on Nightmare btw ..
One of the best all round content killing builds in d2 by far. I know there are faster builds that are better at doing just certain area's or content but this one does it all and kills it.

I made a tesladin about 10 years ago but used a grief instead of Last Wish, this video has inspired me to remake one when D2R gets released, and finally try and make a Last Wish, which is probably the only top tier runeword i have never made in my D2 career. Great video dude !
I really enjoyed this video. Since it seems you're into the Paladin, you should check out the Tri-brid build that's only become possible due to the changes for holy bolts in Resurrected. Fist of Heavens / holy bolts have few synergies and thus easy to max, hammers are so OP that they don't need full point investment to be slinging 8k+ damage hammers, and smite is effective with only 1 point into it and fanaticism. It has some interesting gear components such as using Heaven's Light scepter and max rolling skills and FCR on helm, amulet, ring, and shield. You also get to use an Act 5 merc which is just neat. It's also a "go anywhere" build, including ubers (while throwing on some drac gloves).
"The poison charms honestly dont make much of a difference...but I'm gonna get technical here, I include them because each one I pick up makes my damage number look bigger, and when I see a bigger number there, my brain releases a chemical which tells me I'm happy..." Hahaha *Subscribed*

I played this build when gear swapping with merc would double the lightning lvl - once patched, you had to do this with a friend in the trade window "inventory is full" to stack the dream aura then it was just Zap everything on your screen -- One shot. Since those exploits had been removed it was sad to see this build wither away due to its high expense for gear but, thanks to content creators as yourself it brings great light to builds that are very much still viable and if not the most powerful melee class to exist. I use to play the grief alternative == it was great to see so much item knowledge/depth of your build and explanation of each piece in full and compare. Again great video and thanks for sharing.
You can also use 20IAS crafted crushing blow gloves with 3% life leech, I find I really only need Last Wish for Ubers. I use Grief for PVM. I also use Highlords instead of Mara's and I use act 2 Reapers Toll mercenary and I use Conviction for PVM and Fanaticism when I do ubers

Don't need a 2/20 if you exchange the BK for a 10fcr+DualLeech ring. That way you lose a skill point, but gain Mana Leech, which I always like. And a 2/10 amulet is much more common, so you can relatively easily get one with good additional stats like allres.
@Adrien H. Right there is a mistake in thinking. Who do you want to trade with, do you really think these runes are legitimately found? Someone who has been playing for so long that he has found highrunes has also farmed torches for a long time. So if you think you can just make a cheap char and go farm torches and get highrunes for it, then they can only be cheap dupes. Just think about why some really rare things are so cheap to get. They are definitely not legit. Just try to imagine that in D2R there will be no more dupebug and everything you want to trade is 100% legit. Do you really think someone will sell you 1-2 Highrunes for a Torch. Or for 40 pgems an Um rune. Keep dreaming. All the runes and high-level stuff mentioned must first be farmed with equipment that has not been duped either. So with quite simple gear, because where are all these rune words supposed to come from? Of course, if dubbed runes are flooded into the market on a large scale, so that you can get one of the rarest runes with relatively little effort, because there is a huge drop in price, then it is also possible to farm this stuff with high-end gear. But what came first here, the legit found rune or the dubbed one to also have gear to farm. You are welcome to try putting together a self-found char that has tons of highrune words as euipment without first making your char stronger with duped things. It will cost you years. Have fun farming Ubers with Full Sigon's ;)
@Adrien H. Yeah and they are wearing legit selffound stuff or did they use duped runewords to have teleport and enouth killspeed ? And who is stopping this Kurast runner from getting himself a torch, which is a guaranteed drop, but the high rune is not? You would never get a highrune for a torch in the real game if all items were legitimately found. The trade prices you know are only available through dupes. No legit player gives you a highrune for a torch.

The only thing I would like to see is more information on what to do to get to this point. Best build to start with to clear out normal and nightmare until you can get the appropriate gear and levels to invest correctly with a respect. I figured gear would be easiest to grind with a sorc but you still have the leveling to do unless you leach but I personally dont want to.

Dude back when aura stacking was a thing, people were SO rock hard for this build. Understandably so - you walk into a room, and the room is instantly nuked. Then as soon as it gets patched they all immediately jump ship, but my fucking god dude. Turns out this build still melts crowds better than just about any melee build besides probably a javazon (similar ratio to this guy of physical to lightning damage) or a super optimized ww barb. This build can be done SO much cheaper tho, and it looks cool as hell too imo. I kinda wanna try this build vs the way I've always done with dreams, dragon, and hoj. Having 3 or 4 auras on is such a power move tho...
Yeah on battle net where you are almost always playing on p1 last wish is probably better than grief once you complete this build since you 1 shot everything regardless and last wish has that extra utility. The self shock tesladin is worth looking into if you don't mind swapping 1-2 pieces of gear before doing ubers. Instead of 2x dream runewords you use griffons head, exile shield and use holy shock as your main aura with infinity on the merc. With offensive aura skillers you can reach a lvl 40 holy shock and combining infinity and griffon means most monsters will have -100 light ress anyway. Griffons also makes it extremely easy to hit FCR breakpoints and the lvl 40 holy shock aura is a lot of damage and passive aoe damage. If you want something to truly afk farm with while watching tv however you can do 2x dreams and dragon body armor runeword + hand of justice weapon runeword on a sorc, you quite literally don't have to do anything other than occasionally moving and looting while pit farming on players 1.
Last Wish would be such a good rune word if Grief did not exist. For just the price of one Lo rune you get a weapon that outperforms a rune word which needs 3 Jahs, a Sur and a Ber.
the only thing that I like about last wish is the reliable lifetap,, but for the cost of it I use pot spam and tp spam. Not efficient but gets the job done. When I was a kid I played a one point in every skill barb, tp'd back to town like 100 times against normal diablo for pots. Good times.
Is there a kick ass build. It seems to work in D2 are however what’s the leveling progress if you’re playing a paladin from scratch. Do you go holy fire zeal route like normal people do and then swap over to Holly shack around 24? Or do you wait till your higher levels and wait to get the right gear to swap to a holy shock build?

I thought that deadly strike on highlord was strong enough to use it instead of mara, maybe you wanna keep inventory empty, avoiding resist charms ? or the deadly strike doesn't help that much.
7:45 "it does just about as much dmg as grief because of its might aura" no. Grief smites literally 3 times harder than lw. Might aura is nothing compared to 400 base dmg. 7:53 "charged bolt" deals 20 dmg, doesn't scale, it's completely useless. You can say it "looks cool" but it certainly doesn't "work well" 15:49 "this is known as charge lock" not really, charge lock is the bug where you get stuck during a charge 19:44 "the hammerdin cannot even land a hit" if he's too stupid to teleport on his target 20:01 "but they get trashed if they try to take on the ubers" hdin can swap from hoto to lw and do ubers with 1pt smite 1pt fana just as easily as a zealer would.
In grief vs LW, both do roughly the same ZEAL damage. Was not talking about smite. Either way the conviction aura is the powerhouse behind your zeal attack as a tesladin, not the 400 base dmg. You're right about charge lock. The hammerdin literally cannot land a hit in some spots of maggot lair, telestomp or no. Hammerdins can throw on some gear and spend a couple skill points and solo ubers, I am making content showing how to do that. And we can agree the charged bolt looks awesome :)
For anyone watching this. The amount of time required to farm the runes or completed items to build this character… it will take you ages. To give you an idea. I set a single bot with an infinity (merc weapon that lowers resist) geared lvl 90+ Lightning sorc to farm on Bnet. It played 24/7 for 3 weeks and after that time I couldn’t still couldn’t afford an Enigma using D2JSP or ingame trades. That would just be the armor in this build. The dual Dreams and Grief/Last Wish are VERY expensive items and then you’re still gonna need everything else here.
Sounds like you had a bad bot! I have found and traded for a lot of runes legitimately on D2R, in the first 24 hours of playing after the game was released. But yes, this build does require an absurd amount of Jahs, which I am working my way up to on D2R.
Hey . I currently dont have last Wish . But i have Hand of justice and a crescent moon . Wich one would be the best ? Hand of justice with maxing fire res instead of sacrifice could give more damage than crescent moon ??? And crescent moon could give more damage than grief or last Wish ?
There is a slightly more budget version that does not use dual dreams, but you do need a couple Ber runes to get conviction from infinity. A straight up Holy Shock Paladin is very viable in Nightmare difficulty, it that matters to you. But the problem is lightning immunes in hell.

Don't need a 2/20 if you exchange the BK for a 10fcr+DualLeech ring. That way you lose a skill point, but gain Mana Leech, which I always like.
And a 2/10 amulet is much more common, so you can relatively easily get one with good additional stats like allres.

Who do you want to trade with, do you really think these runes are legitimately found? Someone who has been playing for so long that he has found highrunes has also farmed torches for a long time. So if you think you can just make a cheap char and go farm torches and get highrunes for it, then they can only be cheap dupes. Just think about why some really rare things are so cheap to get. They are definitely not legit.
Just try to imagine that in D2R there will be no more dupebug and everything you want to trade is 100% legit. Do you really think someone will sell you 1-2 Highrunes for a Torch. Or for 40 pgems an Um rune. Keep dreaming.
All the runes and high-level stuff mentioned must first be farmed with equipment that has not been duped either. So with quite simple gear, because where are all these rune words supposed to come from?
Of course, if dubbed runes are flooded into the market on a large scale, so that you can get one of the rarest runes with relatively little effort, because there is a huge drop in price, then it is also possible to farm this stuff with high-end gear. But what came first here, the legit found rune or the dubbed one to also have gear to farm.
You are welcome to try putting together a self-found char that has tons of highrune words as euipment without first making your char stronger with duped things. It will cost you years. Have fun farming Ubers with Full Sigon's ;)

You would never get a highrune for a torch in the real game if all items were legitimately found.
The trade prices you know are only available through dupes. No legit player gives you a highrune for a torch.

The only thing I would like to see is more information on what to do to get to this point. Best build to start with to clear out normal and nightmare until you can get the appropriate gear and levels to invest correctly with a respect. I figured gear would be easiest to grind with a sorc but you still have the leveling to do unless you leach but I personally dont want to.

Dude back when aura stacking was a thing, people were SO rock hard for this build. Understandably so - you walk into a room, and the room is instantly nuked.
Then as soon as it gets patched they all immediately jump ship, but my fucking god dude. Turns out this build still melts crowds better than just about any melee build besides probably a javazon (similar ratio to this guy of physical to lightning damage) or a super optimized ww barb. This build can be done SO much cheaper tho, and it looks cool as hell too imo. I kinda wanna try this build vs the way I've always done with dreams, dragon, and hoj. Having 3 or 4 auras on is such a power move tho...

Yeah on battle net where you are almost always playing on p1 last wish is probably better than grief once you complete this build since you 1 shot everything regardless and last wish has that extra utility.
The self shock tesladin is worth looking into if you don't mind swapping 1-2 pieces of gear before doing ubers. Instead of 2x dream runewords you use griffons head, exile shield and use holy shock as your main aura with infinity on the merc. With offensive aura skillers you can reach a lvl 40 holy shock and combining infinity and griffon means most monsters will have -100 light ress anyway. Griffons also makes it extremely easy to hit FCR breakpoints and the lvl 40 holy shock aura is a lot of damage and passive aoe damage.
If you want something to truly afk farm with while watching tv however you can do 2x dreams and dragon body armor runeword + hand of justice weapon runeword on a sorc, you quite literally don't have to do anything other than occasionally moving and looting while pit farming on players 1.
I did not know about the higher conviction aura wins thing. Wow. 🤯
Last Wish would be such a good rune word if Grief did not exist. For just the price of one Lo rune you get a weapon that outperforms a rune word which needs 3 Jahs, a Sur and a Ber.
the only thing that I like about last wish is the reliable lifetap,, but for the cost of it I use pot spam and tp spam. Not efficient but gets the job done. When I was a kid I played a one point in every skill barb, tp'd back to town like 100 times against normal diablo for pots. Good times.

Is there a kick ass build. It seems to work in D2 are however what’s the leveling progress if you’re playing a paladin from scratch. Do you go holy fire zeal route like normal people do and then swap over to Holly shack around 24? Or do you wait till your higher levels and wait to get the right gear to swap to a holy shock build?

I thought that deadly strike on highlord was strong enough to use it instead of mara, maybe you wanna keep inventory empty, avoiding resist charms ? or the deadly strike doesn't help that much.

hdin can swap from hoto to lw and do ubers with 1pt smite 1pt fana just as easily as a zealer would.
In grief vs LW, both do roughly the same ZEAL damage. Was not talking about smite. Either way the conviction aura is the powerhouse behind your zeal attack as a tesladin, not the 400 base dmg. You're right about charge lock. The hammerdin literally cannot land a hit in some spots of maggot lair, telestomp or no. Hammerdins can throw on some gear and spend a couple skill points and solo ubers, I am making content showing how to do that. And we can agree the charged bolt looks awesome :)

For anyone watching this. The amount of time required to farm the runes or completed items to build this character… it will take you ages.
To give you an idea. I set a single bot with an infinity (merc weapon that lowers resist) geared lvl 90+ Lightning sorc to farm on Bnet. It played 24/7 for 3 weeks and after that time I couldn’t still couldn’t afford an Enigma using D2JSP or ingame trades. That would just be the armor in this build. The dual Dreams and Grief/Last Wish are VERY expensive items and then you’re still gonna need everything else here.
Sounds like you had a bad bot! I have found and traded for a lot of runes legitimately on D2R, in the first 24 hours of playing after the game was released. But yes, this build does require an absurd amount of Jahs, which I am working my way up to on D2R.
Hey . I currently dont have last Wish . But i have Hand of justice and a crescent moon . Wich one would be the best ? Hand of justice with maxing fire res instead of sacrifice could give more damage than crescent moon ??? And crescent moon could give more damage than grief or last Wish ?
I would go with the grief + highlords setup I showed at 8:27 if that's an option.

There is a slightly more budget version that does not use dual dreams, but you do need a couple Ber runes to get conviction from infinity. A straight up Holy Shock Paladin is very viable in Nightmare difficulty, it that matters to you. But the problem is lightning immunes in hell.
