Holy smokes this guide is fantastic. I’m a 20 year d2 vet but even the Uber’s section I found handy. I love how you explain WHY you want certain stats and gear. Really helpful for new players
this my first video of yours to come across, probably one of the best character guide videos ive ever seen. very much above and beyond with all the extra info you usually dont find in guides, and my god those graphics of yours for the area level and hammerdin hammer path... i admittedly screen cap'd like 4 of your graphics and added them to my D2 google sheets.... which is saying something since ive been using this google sheets for about 3 years now compiling information on the game. thank you for the content and cheers on an incredible guide that i hope the majority of the D2 player base watches.
Hey man, I’ll be genuine. You’ve got humor, writing, singing, editing, vocal, and teaching skills. Please don’t stop making content, this video alone makes you my favorite D2 RUclipsr. You’ll be a star in no time if you keep this up. I’ve called it before, don’t give up.
Been playing DII on and off for 20 years. Guided like this keep me coming back. I appreciate you breaking it down so I can have a better understanding.
Just started playing offline d2r and this is the best guide, and I've watched a lot. Particularly the what to do for starter chars that is rarely covered. Also your sense of humour makes your vids, keep up the no filler content
This is a great video. I just did a respec from zealot to hammers and the damage is real but I'm still getting use to play style and I'm new to Hell difficulty. I like how you say "Get a Shako". And I'm like "Sure, no problem.. I'll just sell my kidney". Hahaha, I'm kidding.. kinda.
Concentration aura was the exact bit of info I needed, my lv79 pally was only doing 1500 damage with hammers and I assumed I must have been doing something wrong - considering the entire internet was blabbering on about how OP Hammerdins are etc. Another superb video - keep up the good work:)
The raw number of other guides I had to watch to get even a fraction of what you put into one video is nuts. Great stuff. The worst part is that I'm going to run around screaming "NAMELOCK, TELEPORT, CONCENTRATION; HAMMER!" for the next week straight and it's all your fault me: helped my neighbors: oops
I come back to watch this video when I feel the need for great joy. Love your style, & the random musical parts. You sound a lot like casually explained which is a complement :) keep up the vids my guy
I really wasn't looking forward to a 40 minute long video when my brother linked it to me. But I gotta say, I was thoroughly entertained 😀 And the information is top notch! I even watched it on normal speed, and only skipped a tiny bit on dueling 😇 A+!!
Also, @withnofiller, a Q: I main baba, and - long story short - the maxroll lvl'ing guide says go sing with 2 spirit swords. Would you know why 2 swords and not 1 sword 1 shield?
just found this guide when I was debating what I roll for D2R ladder season 1. This is an extremely helpful guide chock full of information in a clear and concise presentation. My favorite part was all the tier lists for gear as all of us will be rocking rares and budget runewords in the beginning. Well Done. Now to decide between a FO/FW sorc, hammer, Javazon, or trapsin...
Played D2 when it originally came out and kinda knew most of the stuff covered, but still found it useful and the reasons you give for your choices are sound. Good job
I thoroughly enjoyed every second, even the pausing hassle, because of the effectiveness! Now I don't have to share my notes and insights to easily bored friends. This will be the go to video.
Wow... I woke up today and said to myself: I got to find some nice guide for the pally that I am gonna level today.. Open RUclips and BANG, your video shows up first, and this is not a nice guide, this is the best I've seen so far and I've watched quite a few. Dude, you did an amazing job, can't say thank you enough :)
Amazing guide! I only wish you have provided a breakdown of when and how many points to put in and what skills at each new character level. I hope that makes sense.
Sure! It depends on if you want to save your respecs. If you don't, it's faster. This weekend, I did a holy fire zealot auradin (4 zeal, 20 holy fire, 20 resist fire last) and respec'ed him into a holy shock zealot auradin when he got to lvl 44 (4 zeal, 20 holy shock, 20 resist lightning, rest into salvation), and then I respec'd into hammerdin part of the way through hell difficulty, after act 2. That was super fun for me. But.. Do whatever you have fun doing!
I don't even play this game (played the original so I understand what's being said), but I had a good laugh watching this. Liked the video, mate. Great effort and a comedic watch.
Now THAT was a great guide. I didn't even mind that it was 30 minutes long. The perfect balance of information, singing, and memes. But now I want MORE 😡
Diablo 2 is the only ARPG that makes me feel fulfilled whenever I go back to town to sell. Like, I''ve reached a new level, that allows me to put another point into a vital skill, giving more more damage. I just identified a green set item and its a massive upgrade, and I'm wearing it. I feel like I've had a gaming experience, with all the ups and downs, rolled up in every experience that you have on Diablo 2. Every time I get back to town to sell up, upgrade something, take a break, has all the feelings of accomplishment that so many RPGs fail to give me. The old RPGs can still do it. EverQuest for example. There's something about how difficult it is to achieve things, how rare the good things are but how huge the loot tables are, it makes you feel like you have achieved something BEFORE max level. I remember on EQ rolling back into a low level area after a couple of WEEKS grinding in far off lands, I was immeasurably tougher than the noobs, because of how things were back then, people didn't know about the end game, they didn't know about what is even around the corner ahead of them most of the time - because the noob areas were a DAYS TRAVEL from anywhere else. Highly secluded and comforting. You spend so long there that you start to feel like you've completed the GAME even though you've just levelled up to as high as the toughest monsters in the noob zone. The result is that you can feel achievement many many times over. It's this, that I feel modern games try to enforce or replicate. This neverending cycle of achieving things to keep you coming back for more all the time. But because it is enforced, it doesn't feel real, or right. It feels like you're being manipulated. And with how advertised these dopamine cycles are, you never really feel special when you get a new item, or level up, because everyone is trying to do it, everyone knows about it. If you pull up in to a low level area with a level 35 sword, there aren't any WOWs, nobody even takes any notice of you. And if you're going to be the only one who thinks anything you do has meaning or value then you might aswell log out of the multiplayer game and play Skyrim instead. Diablo does this very organically just by setting the game out the way that it does. By not having level scaling, by not having obnoxious replayability forced upon you, it feels more like a sandbox sometimes, where you put all night into defeating Baal and then return to the rogues camp to be welcomed open armed. You walk out into the empty field, then run off to an area you missed, maybe you didn't kill countess first time, maybe you got stuck or died, so you go back and plow through the whole tower in 1 minute. The feeling of being in the world is something I hope that they actually expand upon in the game. For example, in Act 5 you get to see the mercenary you can hire inaction. There is a battle raging outside the keep. It'd be cool to see this in the other acts. Maybe some small group of normal monsters can attack the gates of a town every few minutes, and some town mercenaries are there at the gates to fight them. It'd give a little cool thing to do in town every now and then, maybe you wanna immerse yourself in the world and play gate guard - with an unobtrusive additional featurel ike that, you can. It doesn't hurt the balance or the gameplay, it's just a bit of fun. I genuinely enjoy fighting through the lines in act 5's beginning. Would be cool if it was present in other parts of the game. I mean, the cities do feel too safe. I understand not being attacked and feeling safe after you've slain the local prime evil but before then, Charsi should spend 50% of her time hitting fallen with her hammer, and the other 50% the anvil. I feel like ltitle additional touches like that to D2 resurrected would be really worth while and enjoyable, to essentially embellish this old game. I don't think they sohuld add classes, or extra content, cos they'lkl just F everything up by doing that, but little embellishments like this could really make the game a cut diamond.
That's some outstanding quality content right there! Sadly, this doesn't get you too far on RUclips, you gotta upload average vids frequently instead. Or you can just have a few thousand subs but be rightfully proud of what you've done.
BEAR rune!!!!!! XDDDDDDD LOL! I never heard it befor but it is adorable!! Especially with that picture at 11:20... Best and most comprehensive hammerdin build out there. Thanks!
Loved the video and subscribed! Having said that, hammerdins can be tedious sometimes. Great Curb reference btw. I found this video pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good!
I've always called it a BEAR rune as well. I think I screwed up my pronunciation for life by learning (and trying to read) lots of words from Diablo 2 at age 12. Great video... I played this game for many years after most had already quit, so I'm pretty familiar with most aspects of the game, but for some reason I can't stop watching Diablo 2 videos. Brings me back in time to simpler days. Thanks
I only new the big names like mrlama etc until today - this video is insanely good & that makes me happy af. I really hope that there are further videos liek that on your channel. Greetings from germany!
Cannot believe this only has 200k views. This video is 1025% better than all the others I've been watching. Subscribed
I'm so shocked there's only 2 good diablo creators.
This guy and seer
i like hammerdin caused it kills probably every monsters in the game. I am not sure if there is any monster can resist to the hammer.

A video like this for a blizz or dual spec sorc would be amazing for the community. This format is really good, awesome video!
Best tutorial video of 2021. 10/10 would recommend for a friend. The singing had me laughing.
Your sense of humor is fantastic. Awesome video, great work, keep it up!
The commentary and editing is awesome. Nice.
You truly live up to your username: No Fillers. Love it! Keep up the good job.
My brain is going to explode as a first time Diablo 2 player
I’ve been playing D2 since it was new and this is the best Hammerdin tutorial I’ve ever seen.
Wow man this was incredibly impressive. You truly understand how to make quality content. God bless!
This video was a very fun watch, the singing was just the cherry on top. Got my sub.

The fact that your sub count is only 3.95k and not 3.95m is a crime. Great guide!!!
The dueling: 4 easy steps song is beautiful
Will be singing “name-lock,
Teleport, concentration, hammer” all day at work today.
You earned that sub my friend 😂😂😂great guide

I've watched this more than a couple times now :) thanks for keeping it entertaining!
longs videos, dry humor, solid info, to the point, common sense guides, don't sound like a weirdo creep. +1 sub. You are going to do good on YT.
Bear with me while I bear down on your pronunciation of the Ber rune as Bear. I can’t bear to continues so I’ll just say thank you for this video!

Best guide. Best char. Period.
VERY in depth guide. I have used a Hammerdin as well and there was a lot of knowledge that was learned here. Thanks!
Great video... the fact that u explain why u should look for a specific stat is great for new players....
Bro HOW do you only have 5k subs?? This is by far the best and most efficient guide I've found by farrrrrrrrr can't wait for new ones
Looking forward to more awesome content from you!
Lets be honest, this guy's got that secret sauce. Your humor is genius, I cracked up at the PVP song hahahaha
