- The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 is shaping up to be one heck of a machine. I've been using it for 3 days now, and notice a lot of quality of life improvements over past Galaxy Book laptops. Intel Copilot has real potential, Vision Booster is legit, and the audio is top notch on this year's model. I say that every year, but this time it's even better than usual.
There will be Benchmarks and Gaming related videos coming soon, along with the full review and detailed comparison to the Book3 Pro 360.
One note about the Reflections Test - When there are windows directly behind you, it's much improved on this year's model. I'll make sure to include a sample of that in the full review.

this is the most beautiful laptop with the best buildquality I've ever seen. and this is all in such a narrow, high quality case. overall it is great laptop, very good display, fast, good speakers, very high quality build and good hinges. Got even 0 Bluetooth delay with sony xm5 overears

Please do a gaming test on this. Majority believes the laptop would suck but there are some videos online which shows decent FPS. Would love to see how a free multiplayer game like Warzone would perform at low and or medium settings.

Great video, I come from a matte screen laptop and the only thing that's stopping me from buying this is the fear that reflections will be very distracting, is it something that you notice most of the time in normal daily work?
Thanks for stopping by. I'm actually really happy with the reflective properties of this panel. When viewing "head-on", it does a great job of diffusing light. And when viewed from side, you do end up seeing a lot of reflections, which I kind of like for side angle viewing. It keeps nosy people from easily seeing the screen. It's an interesting screen in how it handles reflections, I've never seen anything quite like it. I'm used to glossy or matte only, and this acts like both depending on the viewing angle. It's kind of trippy.

Hey mate - your videos are awesome and convinced me to pick up a Book 4 Pro 360 tonight :) If you dont mind, can you try running the 3D Mark timespy benchmark and let me know what you ended scoring ? I got a 3442 combined (3160 graphics + 6827 CPU). Just wanted to check if these scores are about right, thanks !

Has the earbud problem you mentioned at the end been resolved? I have Samsung Galaxy buds and simply have not ben able to pair them to the Book4. They can pair without problem to another laptop and other phones, and other earbuds can pair to the Book4, but not Galaxy buds to Book4.
Forget that question. I recharged the earbuds anyway although my phone said that the earbud battery was at 100%, and after that, everything worked fine!

I also had the same issue with the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. What I ended up doing was forgetting device, then adding it through the windows settings. Make sure to leave the case open and follow on screen prompts

Great job. So there is no difference between Book 4 Pro and the Book 4 Pro 360 besides size and hinge?
S Pen support. You only get it on the 360 and 360 Pro, and it doesn't work on the Pro and Ultra models.
I’m trying to find out if it can handle photoshop mainly. Is it really the graphics card or the processor and RAM that enables better use? Thank you! It seems to have high everything but not the graphics card.
I have the identical previous model (Book 3) and it handles Photoshop AND Illustrator with no issues graphically on the older Intel Iris, it's definitely the RAM that limits how much multi-tasking you can do while Adobe is running for sure.

Btw I got this laptop yesterday and downloaded Minecraft on it but it is bit choppy. Could you maybe do a game performance review on some games that will work on this laptop? I wonder if it works for you, what do I do to adjust the performance?

Is there a 32 gb RAM model ? For my upgrade from my surface book 2 since I have the s23 ultra and tab s8 I may choose this one over the ultra laptop
I hear there's a business edition of this machine that has the 32 gb option, but I haven't personally looked into it yet. I just found out about it this morning.
To get the earbuds working, try disabling Dolby Atmos or switching off of it and back on. I had similar issues with my Book3 and Sony earbuds that they patched out. Sometimes turning off multi control or Bluetooth and turning it back on works too. From my experience, I believe it has to do with the way the laptop is handling multipoint. Samsung is trying to do it their way while the earbuds want to do it a different way.

I had same problem with my buds2pro. Do one thing reboot your buds by touching them putting in case for at least 10 seconds and then connect to galaxybook4pro360. Kindly give me your feedback

Is it portable? I mean, is it easy to carry around? 16 inch seems to be too big.
Well, it depends on how you look at. It's super thin and light, but that 16" body makes it quite large. I like it though, you get used to after a while. I do wish we'd get a 14" option like on the non 360 pro.

You didn't see a difference in window reflections because anti reflective coatings don't work well off angle. The light is cancelled with the most effectiveness when it's reflected head on.
If you angled both Laptops so that the screen is facing the window, there should be a bigger difference.

It's about a toss-up really. If taking notes and drawing is a priority for you, I'd go with the Galaxy Book pro 360 for the s pen, but otherwise they're very similar spec wise. I darn near picked up the HP Spectre back in 2021 when I first started this channel. That would have changed everything, lol.
They're both nice machines, but of course I prefer Samsung for the ecosystem integration perks.

That leaves me w/PIN only (which I despise). I contacted both Samsung and Windows support and neither can fix it. Did I buy a lemon???
Thank you so much! I'm working on quite a few videos for this machine at the moment, keeping me very busy. So I've had that issue happen a couple times, on both last year's and the book2 pro 360. But I don't recall ever losing the option entirely, just that it stopped recognizing them and I had to redo my fingerprint. There's no facial recognition though, not on these galaxy books, so that should be greyed out. I would first check for Windows Updates and also Samsung Updates, as there's quite a few that come through in the early goings. Also, instead of going to the Windows 11 section, try just searching for Fingerprint from the Start menu, and go over the regular fingerprint settings, you'll likely be able to set one there. One more last option - Open up Samsung Device Care and do a Factory Reset. I know it sucks, but during the Setup process, you should be prompted to add a fingerprint. I show this steps in the unboxing video. One of these should get you going. I don't think you have a dud, it's likely driver related or it's because you're looking in the Windows Hello section. Depends. The new screen handles reflections much, much better. But otherwise, they're very similar machines. If you're saving more than a couple hundred bucks on last year's, I'd personally go with it.

Oh yeah, no problem at all. Those are CPU intensive, and this year's meteor lake chips seem to be testing quite well. I'll be doing benchmarks later this week and will have a better idea then. Thanks for stopping by!

9:06 same issue I am facing with the buds 2 pro. Exact same. I tried repairing it with my book 4 pro 360 then it works fine, but it will disconnect with other Samsung devices. Samsung really needs to fix software issues with this laptop. Hope they will fix it in the coming updates.
Rader as you keep using this laptop with other Samsung devices you will see alot of bugs and issues and the experiences is not at all good. I have searched each and every setting and done everything it is just headache for the people who are not really tech savay like I am, because I can fix these problems by going in settings and all but what about normal users who just want a product which will work right out of the box! Not a great experience from Samsung this time!

So far, so good. It seems a little better than last year's, which was already good. If you can afford it, it's a nice machine. The battery life is nuts on this year's model. But last year's machine is great too, and you might be able to find it a steep discount.
I got this laptop and I can't install my update for several days "2024-02 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034848) Install error - 0x800f0845" anyone else has this issue or did I just get a Lemon ??
I doubt if you got a lemon, it's not too uncommon for the Windows Updates to fail from time to time. There may be another update pending that hasn't made it to you, and perhaps check Samsung Update to make sure all of those apps/components are updated as well. If it persists, then a reset may do the trick, though I doubt if that should be needed.

BEWARE FUTURE BUYERS! All Galaxy Book 3 Notebook models had problems with the screen breaking for no reason, with the mere normal use of the notebook. And Samsung does not recognize its own responsibility for this problem even if the notebook is under warranty. And there is no guarantee that Samsung has fixed this problem in this new version.
Research this problem on the internet, it happened to me and it was just emotional exhaustion and financial loss with Samsung.
I'm sorry you faced this issue, but I really don't think this is a widespread issue in any way. The first gen had a really thin screen, but they started making it quite a bit thicker from the book2 line on. I don't know of anyone who's had issues with their screen on book2 and newer models, and I'm buried in the subreddits. I really don't think folks have anything to worry about as long as they don't toss them around or are aggressive with it. Thanks for stopping by.

I've seen soo many comments like this on review videos and it has me worried about purchasing one. I don't want to spend that much and get stuck with a cracked screen with no warranty support :/ if you haven't had any issues with yours and don't think it's an actual widespread problem, I might have to get one lol

It sucks. I haven't figured out how to resolve it yet either, and have tried quite a few suggestions that folks have mentioned. Though I will admit I haven't played around with much, hopefully this weekend. Hopefully we both get this sorted out soon.

You focussed too much on the minor aspects. Rather than the performance settings, you should focus on how well those settings apply in real life usage, or at least some benchmarks.
You can wait for those, Rader tech usually does some in house testings first, and I'd personally want real life tests of this device months from now
This is just a "getting our feet wet" video, I've only been able to use it for 3 evenings so far my friend. Benchmarking starts tonight, followed by battery life tests, video editing and gaming performance. I'm only 1 person, so I get them out when I can, please be patient, they're coming. I also have to trickle in videos about other Samsung devices, or else I'll tick off the broader audience that's not interested in this machine. I hope you can understand, thank you.

Jealous of the keyboard... here in Canada, I can only get a gawd-awful 'bilingual' french/english mess. Samsung has ruined such a nice machine by not allowing us to get a 'normal' keybaord here.

I know, I'm sorry about that. When I was making this video, it was advertised everywhere as being Intel CoPilot, which I thought was a little strange right up front.
