Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

"But can they survive?"
*both cores die in a few seconds*
"No."
"Well, Armadillo isn't great at taking lasers to the foundation."
Gods that made me laugh!
That moment of silence after the first double kill. Poor Incursus was trying to process what he'd just seen.
“…………..nope.”
Lmao 😂 I saw the domino effect thing and was like huh? And it's 13 mins?!? Wth is going on eagle die is insane
That cannon tower took a HILARIOUS bounce. Any other day, that thing hits the ground and explodes on top base's mines.
Amazing they noticed the nuke taking out the energy shield at the foundation for second round and promptly fired the laser beam there.
It also helped that the laser was already pointed at where the shield was when the laser was fired the first time
If anything, that makes having aim there to hopeful take out the shield seem a deliberate choice for a quick and easy laser follow up
Didnt they aim the nuke at the foundation for THAT PURPOSE anyway? I meam nuke+ plasma is quite good at chopping stuff and hitting the foundation is an easy collapse with that combo
@@snowdrop9810 nukes are notoriously inaccurate though, they wouldn't have any guarantee it'd hit foundation
Inaccurate as they may be, the warhead splash damage is still great for removing shields. Typically, players can't assume that the nuke will land at any specific point. But they can assume that it will impact eventually, allowing the players to just wait for the proper moment.
It's an RNG heavy weapon. You can't assume you'll win a RNG roll, but you can keep rolling until you win.
@@snowdrop9810 It was not our direct intention to destroy the shield, but I quickly took the opportunity since I heard the shield die and already had it nice and lined up. If it had not hit in that location we still would have taken advantage of it, but with perhaps less devastating consequences.
13 minutes for 2 games... gonna be a banger of a blow out
The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
Size had no intrinsic merit... unless inordinate exsanguination be considered a virtue.
That first game... Now THAT's a critical hit!
And that one sniper bullet in the second!
Cat-ershot's team icon definitely won appearance though, even if they lost the fights.
Wow, Eagle Die came out swinging!
cattershot lost because they seemingly forgot you could armour the bottom half of a base
and also forgot that armordillo does in fact have an active ability
i assumed they cut costs to get weapons out faster...?
These matches were a lot faster than I'm used to from watchin Incursus. I assume there's a rush meta here...?
Adunno, I know nothing about this game 😆
Seems to be that new meta they’re all using where instead of armouring the bottom part of the base they build a mine there for more eco
@@sniperfi4532 u can do both those can't u?
@@Broockle not as effectively as metal cannot be placed overtop of buildings and you’d usually get more strength as a foundation attachment.
I love how the collapsing weak point in the back of the top base caused it to flip forward and hit the frontward weakpoint of the bottom base. Check out the leans on these bad boys before the destruction even began.
I can't imagine how lucky you have to be to get that 4:47 perfect shot.
Also, I noticed that in most of the matches uptil now a lot players have been compromising fort stability just to get those extra resources, but it's of no use however if you lose the match. I know they are experienced players who can handle such situations very efficiently, but still it's painful (yet satisfying) to watch these pro players' forts just crumble and lose instantly just because they forgot to pay attention to Fort Stability. Cross-bracing and making small boxes for the foundations would provide much more stability than big boxes, since they cost you more resources anyways.
It's just my opinion on Fort Stability V/s Tech Rush.
It's unfortunate that Cat-tershot was not using their commander ability at all. For reference - it significantly reduces repair cost and dramatically increases repair speed. Typically the ability should be spammed after every heavy hit you receive (because it charges very quickly and will be ready again soon anyway). Used well, it can allow one to tank ridiculous amounts of damage.
Whether this would allow them to turn the game around and win, I don't know.
It would of atleast allowed them to fire a single shot of a Big Gun
@@dingowingo7977 would've, not "would of"
It is true that you get huge repair speed boosts, but there's no amount of extra repair speed that would've been able to save that top base in the 1st game. The damage was critical.
@@fernando47180 it's not about speed - it's about the economy endurance
the team lost because players ran out of money
@@fernando47180 Ah yes, the first game was a lost cause and there's no contest about it. No amount of repair bonuses would rescue from a one-hit-kill attack.
4:47 Don't know if it super-efficient or not but damn! laser shot at own cannon round seems working real well
It really adds to the damage of the howitzer shell, as flaming projectiles generally do much more damage. :)
Agreed, commentary is always relaxing
Love how the Sniper finishes building just in time to die for Alesio.
First match: EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!
Oh My GOD i didnt even realise he came back to yt, i missed you very much Incursus
he's been streaming pretty consistently
Oh... you're right.
Well i never watch livestreams lol
@@Vadim_k.d. you should tune in sometime
Eagle die was so impressive like a well oiled machine
Can’t wait till we get some old style forts episodes again . Love the tournaments but would love to see some of the old style videos
12:05
"You know Armidillo's great at that"
Says that as the base goes down and In the previous match round a 1 shot to kills
What an unusual round. I loved it. ANOTHER.
... The important thing is that both teams had fun!
What a sniper shot, finishing that last game, impressive !
I find it awesome how quickly these matches go by. It really shows that, at this tier of play, every little advantage counts.
Always good to see incursus post
Such a niche game but i just keep combing back for this beautiful mans voice.
Thank you for still showing the commander abilities and passives
Very well played from eagle died ! I liked the move where they used the nuke to disable the shield and allow the plasma laser to hit the base from a tricky angle !
Thanks for comment the match 🙂
I had another stream up while I checked this out. The second that top base in the first match fell, someone triggered the "emotional damage" soundbite in the other stream. The timing was perfect and I was rolling laughing for a few minutes while I recovered.
12:00
Oof. Oof. That Howitzer was ALMOST finished too. Oof.
Match 2: First Kill: Nukes goes through firebeam gets drunk and suddenly focuses the shield on the Bottom of the Base (nice Plasma follow Up so). Kill 2: Tries to fire Plasma the Core misses the Plasma accidentaly discovers the Howitzer (again nice follow up so). Match 1: Taktik of trying to rush Team 2 down went well with a very lucky cannon drop because of it bouncing of the cliff and perfectly hitting the node of bottom base.
The moment both you and your teammate fail to cross brace two bottom rows of your base to prevent total collapse and you both have a total collapse from one single super weapon attack... RIP
Yesssss more forts, it makes me happy
The team names... * chef's kiss muah *
4:46
"but can they survive?"
"..."
"no"
That first game kill was some pretty skilled timing, lighting up the shot with the fire beam.
just became a doctor
just felt like saying that
Congrats!
Armadillo, no shields and just wood spam... Lol what were catashot thinking?
some thing I've noticed about the pro builds is that the bases tend to yeet their heavy weapons' into their teammate when collapsing
That's probably not a huge concern, since at this level once it becomes a 1v2 the game is probably over anyway.
(Also it leads to very funny clips which is always nice)
With the high level of players here, building a heavy weapon next to the core or foundation is asking for it to get door sniped and destroy the core or the foundation. Therefore, the only good spot is above the base. Considering that most bases are killed by removing the front foundation struts, it makes sense that the optimal builds would collapse their weapons forward. (Although putting a heavy weapon too high can lead to it being sliced off and having it fall down to the bottom of the base.)
That last shot... damn.
Omg that first match was perfect
being quite honest, while i am no pro, it seems rather counter productive of Cat-ershot to not make use of the upgrade center in order to make miniguns (with potentially explosive projectiles), machine guns behind defences or AP snipers in order to take out the weaponry. in fact, they did not even use metal to defend themselves in particular while also completely ignoring their opponent. and after the first game, rather than changing up anything, even though they knew that there was a nuke incoming, they did not do anything to either shut down the sniper, anything that could prevent them from utilizing defences against the nuke or just killing their enemy before they could kill them
also, they had a lot to repair in the second game, yet they repaired without the 50% reduction to the repair costs
Was that art Cat-tershot top player was doing in first game? Making their fort more cat-like?
bro your videos are so fun to watch
The poor cat is now eagle food ;-)
Absolutely dismantled.
Well I didn’t expect that. Lmfao was perfect.
Forts Pro League, the best thing since breathable air was invented.
Total dominotion! >:P
its always a good idea to space your weapons at least 2 squares away from your core
Any team with firework is my favorite team lol, I think he’s hilarious and I love the way he builds/plays. Go team eagle die
Love these vids! anyway we could get a timer under the FPL icon? I like knowing when cannon o'clock arrives >:)
Late comment but its been a few years since iv watched and im catching up. However the first round was so satisfying to watch and the second round was unfortunate timing on the second howitzer at the end
One thing I've consistently noticed is that players don't really reinforce the bottom of their bases (crossbracing, or even the occasional metal bracing for the bottom of the base)
Interesting thumbnail xD after afew minutes, i got the joke xD
Wow, that should be a lesson to all Armourdillo players, you can’t beat a good rush
Eagle Die are pretty good in co-op
Cat-tershot almost sounds like a fan of Scrapmans music xd
"Laser beams"
Seep's explanation overlay has an error on the active where it says "hi" instead of "hit" :)
One thing I will say is that team Cat-tershot seems like a very passive/defensive team, picking Armordillo both times and not really applying any actual pressure on Eagle Die. Even when Eagle Die in the second match had a nuke/swarm combo ready, Cat-tershot had nothing offensive coming out really as far as I could see. Only after that combo was ready did Alesio make their howitzer, and that left Cat-tershot on the back foot.
Armadillo is only good if you actually take advantage of it. Otherwise just go with Pinchfist, Eagle Eye, or any other early-game commander.
Are ropes not a thing anymore? I see a lot of collapses that might have survived, if he had ropes to the back (so if the front stability breaks, u dont collapse to the front). Just thinking about^^ Nice games
I cant believe this is the top players of this game and they got destroyed from ONE hit of heavy weapon and medium laser...
Early rush wins yet again. At this level it seems very few people can outlast the fast plays to get later weapons out.
If you don't take early map control you're fighting such an uphill battle.
There's a missing e in "increased" at 1:25 at the bottom of the passive abilities
how and why did I notice that
It is hard to just say " dog"
When it comes to structure being under extreme stress does it effect the overall health of the structure? Like if a strut is blinking does it have less health?
No, but blinking struts are still dangerous because even if they aren't breaking on their own, a future hit could cause the whole base to collapse.
Omgg i will start forts again ... But why Fluffiges Puffi changed name to Fluffiges Jo
0.0
At 5:45 did Alesio start with an extra mine?
I edited out the first 45-ish seconds of the match, just because nothing spectacular happens during that phase of the game.
@@Incursus That make sense. Thank you!
is team cat from Australia?
FORTS?
can they survive?
no
Sus.
Not cater shot; kitten poop. They need lots of work until they’re considered pro league imo
Cats are too passive. Relying on defense when your opponent is literally devouring their own base to be able to hit faster and harder is bound to be trouble. The saying "offense is the greatest form of defense" is not a meme, it's a fact. If you destroy your enemy before he attacks you, you have successfully defend yourself.
lkjh
triple AP minigun opening literally wins me every game.
I dont understand how you can play Armadillo this poorly.
THese guys are not gonna make it...
While they could have used the Armordillo ability far more, AP miniguns would be a poor choice both matches. AP miniguns are ineffective and expensive if not a devastating surprise, and the double upgrade is a clear giveaway that would allow time to double door and defend.
Although eagle die clearly played better, cattershot really did get unlucky and i think they could’ve won at least a round of it wasn’t for the bad luck
Are you ok Incursus? Your speech appears to get worse as time moves on. It may just be me, but you sound tired or distracted, mixed with slurred words sometimes.
I am not trying to be mean or anything like that. I am genuinely worried.
I just never noticed it before.
There is a minor spelling mistake at 6:08. It should be "when" not "hen".
Come on Incursus, this is literally unwatchable.
/s
stop doing "the voice". your normal voice is better
- picks Armordillo
- doesn't make armor
(surprised Pikachu face)
Clowns lmao. See you in Amateur League.
Cat-tershot isn't pro at all wtf, this looked like a team based PUB stomp
