    When I was in late 70s in horn Africa viewing night sky was something that fascinated me. The absence of clouds and artificial light exposed billions of galleries, stars, planets and artificial satellites. The view was absolutely priceless. Things changed. The globalization brought pollution in every environment.

    • @Shagula420
      @Shagula420 5 месяцев назад

      @@AbdiPianoChannel Almost every environment. Plenty of places you can still get a great view of the Cosmos. I think you meant galaxies instead of galleries, but as far as I know the only other galaxy we can see regularly is Andromeda. There’s a few others but they don’t quite look like Andromeda does. What you see in the night sky is stars in the Milky Way.

    Love science documentaries. But, because so much of astronomy has to be explained with animation, it is not always certain if the mind behind the presentation is a real person or artificial intelligence.
    This is one of the better, modern presentations. Good at presenting sizes and distances with continuous reference back to our Earth, Sun and Solar system for comparison.
    It makes sense to provide both Imperial and Metric measurements for an international audience. Also does a good job of naming the people who made the major
    breakthroughs in astronomy in the last 300 years, from Messier to Hubble.
    This might be the most intelligent report on its channel. The rest looks dubious.

    The only thing that’s bugging me is the AI narration. I was on the fence until the heliosphere bit when the word “buffet” was pronounced as a noun rather than a verb.

    Starshot may have a good chance of success, but it would have to be heavier than what they are originally considering. At least two extra things need to be taken into consideration.
    1) Is the weight from extra shielding due to space debris, radiation, etc., and 2) the extra weight from fuel or whatever system is employed, that will be needed to slow the chips down. Traveling at sublight speeds would still need to be counteracted if any return information would indeed be desired. Otherwise, they will just blow by their target so fast, that hardly anything in the form of data could be retrieved, much less successfully returned.
    This would just be defeating the purpose.

    A Type V civilization would be advanced enough to to escape their universe of origin and explore the multiverse. Such a civilization would have mastered technology to a point where they could simulate or build a custom universe. They will have mastered the new laws of physics and have almost complete control over the fabric of reality. Now, humanity is basically impossible to destroy by its own inhabitants, which has reached the decillions.

    • @chrisdooley1184

      Type Vs are indeed civilizations to be wondered at. Right now they could be observing us and we’d have zero idea, let alone the fact they could pluck us from our one time position in this little Sol and create a custom universe in which to observe us lol.

    A Type VII or K7 civilization would travel, transcend and potentially encompass the omniverse which is the collection of every single universe, multiverse, megaverse, paraverse, 11d dimension and 1st realm (reality).
    It is likely that such power would come from an individual rather than a civilization, as the civilization would have transcended and merged into a single mind that would encompass all thoughts and all timelines, thus being omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient within the confines of the 11 dimensions of the omniverse. Such a being is godly, but not to be confused with the Creator who is the ultimate supreme being outside of reality.
