Dachshunds are prone to IVDD, a disease that injures the discs in their spine. One way to prevent this from happening to your dog is with dog ramps and stairs. But is it REALLY necessary? Some might say no, but I think it absolutely is. In this video I talk about what IVDD is, how to prevent, it and my favourite products that help.

great job on the ramps! you can put little cork or rubber pads (from dollar store) on bottom of your ramps, so they don't side around

My Mini Doxie Milly is a bit of a wild child, we try not to let her jump on or off of furniture, but when she's home alone and out of the crate then we can't keep an eye on her. I've gotten stairs for the couch and she did use them pretty good while we were there with her but she wouldn't use them when we weren't there to enforce it, she would just jump since it's easier and faster. My living room is more cramped, and we have smaller but separate pieces of furniture so there's not really room to put a ramp or stairs for all of the places that she likes to go on. Milly only jumps on things in the living room, and I've found that if you have chairs or couches that recline, then instead of spending tons of money on ramps and stairs (like I said earlier, I don't have any room to walk around if we have them set up anyways) then I will leave the recliners at an angle while I am gone and she is basically forced to use ramps instead of jumping up since it's her only choice!

It’s hard to stop 100% of the jumps! That’s a good idea :)

Can we talk about Stella in the back, jumping from your bed at 7:25 while you're talking about how important it is that they have great back health 😂😂😂
I'm considering getting a dog as an ESA (Emotional Support Animal), as it's been recommended by my doctor/therapist, and your videos are literally brightening up my days :')
    Love your content ! 💜
