Jeff's like "No sponsorhip?? I'll make my own"... Better Than Bullion made a smart move... LOL My local grocery store sell them for $6.15 each. Happy for the new upcoming book. I have the previous two and have made many recipes from them. All of them delicious.
I have been making a similar recipe since about 1980 - love it. However, it tastes so much better after a few days in the fridge so the flavors really meld together. Lasts about 3-4 weeks. Suggestion: put a layer of plastic wrap on the top of the cheese in your fridge containers - helps keep air away and keeps it fresher.
Because of you I am addicted to Boursin cheese lol. I use it in my mashed potatoes, pasta dishes, artichoke/spinach dip. I even dollop it in quiches and have received many compliments. Thank you.
I can get an 8oz pack of cream chz at Meijer for $1 so if I got 2($2) plus the 2 sticks of butter which I get 4 sticks for almost $4 then the 1/2 cup of chz & the spices I already have.. that's actually saving A LOT of money. Just 1 of those bricks of Boursin is $6!! And I'll get 4 of them for about the same price!!! *Great job Jeffrey!!*
YES!!!! So glad to see you back on RUclips! We have missed you! I have been hoping you would develop a recipe for DIY Boursin Cheese! Given the economic climate everyone is trying to save money or maybe cannot afford more expensive ingredients. This makes it possible to still have our beloved Boursin. THANK YOU!
Well, i just made it, and it tastes wonderful. Ive never tried the store version, but the recipe my girlfriend wanted called for boursin...this works. Thanks
Thank you so much! I have not been able to find it in the stores to make your recipes and now I can make it myself ❤️( and as you stated more economically 😊)
I have been doing something similar by making my own garden veggie cream cheese for my husband to use on bagels rather than buying the small premade ones. Only takes a few minutes.
Can't wait for the 3rd book!! This is a recipe I will use as a dip for large gatherings. I would not use this all up in time and it would go to waste. Thanks for introducing me to this awesome cheese 🙂
Jeff, I’m soooo glad you are back on YT! I have missed you. Looking forward to the 3rd cookbook. I already preordered. It was nice to see Richard. Stay blessed
OMG, that is about the quarter of the cost even using Kerrygold butter. I don't buy the Boursin because of the cost, so Thank You So Much for the copycat!!!!!!!!! Now I can use it your recipes that you usually add Boursin. Melaney from SoCal
I love this cheese but there’s one that’s called “Alouette” (it’s the one that comes in a white container with a lid) but that one has extra chunks of garlic & herbs on top & it’s sooo good so I would recommend adding that on top if you’re gonna be using it as a dip! It just makes it even better lol
Is there a big difference in taste with the two different flavors of Boursin (Garlic and herb and Shallot and Chive) that comes in the costco package? I always use the Garlic and Herb but I am hesitant using the Shallot and chive one when I see the Garlic and herb one used in the recipes.
I’ve suggested ur channel2 most of my co-workers n friends bcz of u some r now following u, bought an Instant Pots, “ better than bouillon“ AND.. garlic&herb cheese that I can NOW make.. bcz of YOU…LOVE U!!❤
Not long before I watched this last night, I was looking at some Boursin at Kroger and thought that I haven't seen you use it in a recipe in a while. Turned on RUclips after dinner and found this. Way to prove me wrong (sorta).
Thanks for sharing your copycat recipe for Boursis Garlic recipe!! My spin on it I used Pecorino Romano grated cheese. My Oh My!! I know it’s not polite but I licked the bowl the bowl clean
Oh Oh Oh this has to be made by me very very soon ... (need paper and pen to copy the spices so I can do this correctly) Thanks Jeffrey such an awesome idea

Add some milk or cream, whip it, and you have chip dip.
My nearest Costco is 700 miles away. A drive to the ferry, a drive to airport and a jet ride. This works for me. And Costco order gets shipped out by barge. Usually two weeks.
Hi Jeff, glad you’re back. Can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to! I’m bummed ☹️ I’ve been gluten free for almost 3 years, now I’ve had to cut out dairy 😢 Boursin is really the one thing I’m going to miss😫 I did hear they are coming out with a non dairy Boursin cheese 👏🏻 Anyway you can make that??
I’d cut the recipe down to half or even a third but this would be very handy. I use it occasionally to cook with but we just don’t ever eat the other two pkgs.
But seriously. You can just as easily add to the Boursin. I do. Black truffle oil. Black garlic oil. Goji berries, cranberries. Fruits even. This is a great go to if need be. Cheers
I use captions and sometimes they get words amusingly wrong. For instance, at about 9:25, where I assume you said, "it tastes exactly like Borsin." And not, "... exactly like abortion."
Boursin is probably pissed that they didn't sponsor you now......hhaahahhahahaha !
I’m so glad you did this. I know how you feel about your Boursin.
Dude, you're the one who brought boursin into my life! Forever greatful. Love your recipes! Thanks!

That leaks plastic into your food though

Can you eat it strsight out of then package or does it have to be cooked?

So glad to see you again!! This is awesome!! Can’t wait to try it!!❤️
Made this and it’s better than the name brand and a lot more budget friendly! Love you and all your recipes and videos. Thank you!!!

This made me so happy bc Costco is literally an hour away and Boursin is not in any other stores that I know of. TFS!
Glad it isn't just me! I can't find it at my local store either!
Well, i just made it, and it tastes wonderful. Ive never tried the store version, but the recipe my girlfriend wanted called for boursin...this works. Thanks
I just made it after buying some for his mac n cheese recipe. Never buying it again after making this haha.
Thank you so much for this! These Boursin prices are getting out of control.
The Boursin Cartel
Thank you!!! Glad you two are back
Yum. A smear on my everything bagel w/lox, omg, so good. Thanks Jeff ❤️
Thank you so much! I have not been able to find it in the stores to make your recipes and now I can make it myself ❤️( and as you stated more economically 😊)
Looks Delicious
This. Thanks so much!
This looks so good! It's made with stuff I always have on hand. The store bought isn't always in my fridge.
I have been doing something similar by making my own garden veggie cream cheese for my husband to use on bagels rather than buying the small premade ones. Only takes a few minutes.
Your cookbooks are AMAZING!!!! I use them all the time!!👏👏👏👏👍❤️
We missed you! Thanks for this recipe. I’m going to try it! BTW, who does not like dill?! It’s the best
A copycat for Boursin? Sign me up!! Thank you so much.
I'm def going to try this. In Canada Borsin is $8 a pop!

Omg, I just found this melting cheese called Boursin too. It’s like baby heaven on earth! Thank you!,!
Thanks for turning me on to it. Feels fancy using it.
Wonderful!!! Thank you!!
Saw the video today and made it this afternoon. Delicious! I made it to add to your creamy tomato tortellini soup that I'm going to make this week. 😁
OMG, that is about the quarter of the cost even using Kerrygold butter. I don't buy the Boursin because of the cost, so Thank You So Much for the copycat!!!!!!!!! Now I can use it your recipes that you usually add Boursin. Melaney from SoCal
Phenomenal!!!! Love to you and Richard thanks 😊
Ok, this is amazing!
Glad to see you back as I really like your IP recipes. Going to make this 😋
I think your version looks better. I am going to make my own also. Thanks.
yeah lets make our own version hope it is less expensive but just as yummy--
I love this cheese but there’s one that’s called “Alouette” (it’s the one that comes in a white container with a lid) but that one has extra chunks of garlic & herbs on top & it’s sooo good so I would recommend adding that on top if you’re gonna be using it as a dip! Thank you servant !!!!! Humphrey not know!
Awesome. Tfs!!
Omg a Richard appearance! All is good again in the world! 💜🤗
Looks good
FYIThey sell Borsin at Trader Joes for $3.99 but the Costco 3 pack is the best value
It truly is. Especially when they’re on sale. I just picked up two packs at Costco on sale for $5.99. Sadly the sale ended 8/1.
Is there a big difference in taste with the two different flavors of Boursin (Garlic and herb and Shallot and Chive) that comes in the costco package? I always use the Garlic and Herb but I am hesitant using the Shallot and chive one when I see the Garlic and herb one used in the recipes.
@@Babs11285 I find them both equally tasty and have subbed them for each other.

THANK YOU!!! I’m retired and it’s now cost prohibitive.
Oh nice. I missed this video.
Was that a Schitt's Creek reference with 'fold in the cheese'? If so, A+. If not, it still made me smile. I love boursin. I will definitely try this!
I think it definitely WAS a Schitt's Creek reference and I loved it. 😂
Thanks for sharing your copycat recipe for Boursis Garlic recipe!! My spin on it I used Pecorino Romano grated cheese. My Oh My!!
I know it’s not polite but I licked the bowl the bowl clean
Thank you👍
Can you freeze this for future use?
Allrecipes says, about freezing cream cheese; it works well in cooking recipes.
Oh Oh Oh this has to be made by me very very soon ... (need paper and pen to copy the spices so I can do this correctly) Thanks Jeffrey such an awesome idea

Alberto is correct!
Hi Jeff, glad you’re back. Can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to!

Boursin is really the one thing I’m going to miss😫
I did hear they are coming out with a non dairy Boursin cheese 👏🏻
Anyway you can make that??
Thank YOU, Our Costco doesn't carry it, and the smaller stores chrge a LOT. Can't wait to try it. Whaaat??? you didn't use your IP? lol
Sometimes we add a little sesame or truffle oil
I trust your taste buds 😋
Hey,, try adding a tin of smoked trout to the recipe. So yummy.
Can you make the purple boursin copycat also?
Thank you…. I got all that my friend 😜
Nice ❤❤❤
Can you freeze this? Thanks for the recipe!
I may have to start making my own. Boursin has become so expensive.
Making the cheese!!
Did you guys move down south or to a different place? What happened to the nice condo you bought not to long ago?
This is fantastic as we can’t get boursin in Australia.
Missed you!
Favorite cheese till now add some yogurt and make it a potato, chips, veggi dip
Can you freeze?
I’d cut the recipe down to half or even a third but this would be very handy. I use it occasionally to cook with but we just don’t ever eat the other two pkgs.
Can freeze them😊
I just bought a 5.2 oz box of this stuff for $8 bucks. This is SO much better
Can this be frozen?
Vicki I was thinking the same thing.
I was wondering that too
I would say it could be
my chef Brother in law, says, you can freeze anything. NOW, will it keep???????
@Michele B I think you are right about cream cheese texture becoming grainy when frozen.
This not fair he knew u made the first one. 😂😂😂😂. That was definitely an unedited blooper
Hey could you do aligot potato pancakes?
But seriously. You can just as easily add to the Boursin. I do. Black truffle oil. Black garlic oil. Goji berries, cranberries. Fruits even. This is a great go to if need be. Cheers
I didn't hear you say if it can be frozen or not?????
What brand of oven is on your counter?
It's a good thing this is not a cooking video, since our pressure cooker died last week.
Whaaaat🤯
I’m so going to make this! Would it freeze well?
No. Cream Cheese does not freeze well. The texture changes and it feels gritty, IMO.
@@kristinchristensen2742 thanks!
However Allrecipes says for cooking, yes it will work well.
How did you know what seasonings to add?
Most of the ingredients are probably listed on the original Boursin packaging.
Can you freeze this ??
Allrecipes says, yes.
Nooooooo! You can’t stop tossing in Boursin
looked like he was taking communion at church..
Can’t wait to try it. Boursin is way too salty.
I skipped the dill and used dried chives instead, like Boursin has on it's list of ingredients.
I use captions and sometimes they get words amusingly wrong. For instance, at about 9:25, where I assume you said, "it tastes exactly like Borsin." And not, "... exactly like abortion."
Why does this whole video reek of long Island???
