    I bought mine at costco also. It’s a beast in high grass too. Love my mower. Tip: leave off the self control a second before you want to back it up, move forward just a little and this will disengage the self propelled and then you can move the mower freely backwards. Takes some time to master this but it’s a great mower.

    Thanks for the helpful video. I bought the dual 80 amp batteries model at Costco USA this morning. Replacing our ancient "unsafe at any speed" Toro, and relegating that to brush cutter mode. I already had the leaf blower, which uses the same batteries / charger, so I have multiples of each. While using the leaf blower, I had one battery that, after a year, stopped taking a charge. One call to Greenworks and they sent a new one without charge. Great customer service.

    Just bought mine in COSTCO ST. John's NL and put it together lickity split ( only had to insert the handle into the arms - two bolts and two nuts) and charged up the batteries in no time. Hold onto the blade engagement handles and pushed the start button. Fantastic. I didn't figure out how to reverse it manually without waiting about three seconds but just read another entry here and now I know how to pull it in reverse without the wait. The refusal by the mower not to automatically go into manual reverse is a safety feature wherein the drive wheels lock on an incline to prevent rollback. Quiet, controlled forward speed throttle, effortless height lever, smooth as silk, no exhaust or smell, just love it. I did a my lawn that usually requires a ride on mower. The cut looked like a golf fairway. Beautiful.

    The spare blade is a highlift blade and cuts a lot better in long or wet grass and bags better . The downside of the highlift blade is it reduces run time a little bit . Using turbo mode and the highlift gives the best cut and eliminates uncut straglers by making them stand up . The blade bolt doesn't need to be very tight , just over snug . Love mine and gave my two gas ones away to people that couldn't afford a new mower .

    I have the same mower ! The 4AH battery go's on the left ! The 2 go's on the right. You mow with the 4, if you start to run out at the end, the 2AH battery kicks in as a back up ! Didn't you read the instructions ? The 4AH battery only takes about 45 mins to charge ! The 2AH battery takes about 25 mins ! And if you use the same release buttons for the handle, you can lower the handle to another position for mowing.

    The headlights are pretty spiffy, too. I had a mow in the dead of night because I just bought it. Sadly, it was really quiet so none of the neighbors came out and shook their fist at me. :P I like how quick the charger is. It isn't too bad for the 4 ah but the 2 ah charges in no time.

    • @fixingrandomcrap
      @fixingrandomcrap  Год назад +1

      Hi there, assuming you mean while mowing, is there any interruption when one battery runs out and it starts drawing from the other? If so, I have noticed only a very short blip when this happens. Not enough to stop the mower, but it noticeably loses power for a second before the 2nd battery kicks in. In my experience it hasn't been enough time for the blade to come even close to stopping. Kicks right back in.

    At Lowes in the US I picked up a Craftsman 2x20v (two 5ah powertool batteries, included) for $250 to use at a small yard on a rental property. Looks like a toy but all that was needed for the task. It works so well I took it home to use. Would do that side yard of yours twice or more on a regular mow. If yer feedin'er a hot supper should finish it no problem once at least. Just a note if anyones on a budget and only has a small yard to do Id give it a 5 star, for the value anyway.

    A shop I worked at sold GreenWorks.
    I think for a commercial product it should have higher AMP batteries.
    You can purchase an E-BIKE with 15-25 amp hour batteries. This company has ability to highly improve this lawnmower by upgrading just batteries. But don’t. They also need to upgrade components.
