I share a series of abstract paintings that have a fresh perspective on color theory. Using color in abstract painting is an important part of communicating with the viewer. Color is essentially one component of the alphabet through which the abstract painter can speak.
And this is why, as an abstract artist, it is so important to understand color theory, the way colors interact with each other, abstract painting color schemes, and then knowing when to break the rules about choosing colors to paint with. Because I think all artists should break the rules with regard to color theory. You just need to know how and when to do so.
