Serral vs Reynor, with an elimination win. This is the best game I've ever seen.
I watch a ton of StarCraft, and this is honestly the first high level elimination game I can remember ever seeing. Not even because of trolling, genuinely that close. Magnificent.

A mirror matchup of my two most favorite Zergs. Thank you for uploading a First Person Perspective for the Finals!
Hiiiii
hey winter I really did like the first person view, if you could cast more games in this way it would be awesome! it seems to add to the hype, as we can see how fast they are clicking and how hard they try! thanks for streaming so much and so long!
This is probably the best match of SC2 I have ever seen. For sure the best ZvZ I have ever seen.
Holy crap. That was breath taking
No, anyone in this comment is breathtaking
@@sailadun6603 thank you!
GTX 420 000 GPU just to watch the game properly. lol. Thanks for the cast. Legendary game! The first-person perspective works very well esp. in these high-level games. So much action!
This is absolutely mind blowing just how close this game was and just how fast these two truely are. It's amazing. This definitely is the best game I have seen since watching sc2 more often.
Ah yes, enslaved brain capacity
Isn't all brain capacity enslaved? Constrained by the physical boundaries of this dimension?
@@speedfastman no, because you can imagine outside this dimension, or at least convince yourself you can.
@@Xepent imagination is endless only limited by our innate sense configurations. Reality is in one state, imagination, thousands. Though we can't get the colorblind to imagine color really, we can imagine alternate worlds. In part, not thoroughly. Which means all imagination is not aligned with reality flawlessly because perception cannot gather all data in its field. So imagination, while never complete, is always capable of more than just simulating reality.
that was actually one hell of a game. Like damn.
this game was crazy the first person perspective really made this ZvZ feel like a knife fight in a closet at midnight it was hard to see anything and a lot of blood everywhere and you dont see that kind of ending in many pro games
Cast Heromarine vs. Showtime pls. It was the best series in the tournament :)
First person mode was awesome. Crazy fast.
fanstastic coverage Winter, thanks for doing this kind of series, this is way more involving than watching pro matches from the camera of an observer.
i didnt know humans could do this
Top level players get 60 screens displayed per minute
Winter : "wait for it i'll cast 60 sentences a minute"
no where near the level to fully apprciate first person, but it does get more exciting at times, seeing what they see. It felt more like the experice of playing, "where are the corruptors?!" So I liked the first person.
Watch all of your pro-games at like 2x+ speed (I prefer 2.45x-2.6x depending on the caster, if he is hard to understand, maybe as low as 2.15x speed). After many months watching that, it is hard not to quickly catch on with the eyes. (to access 2x+ speeds to custom levels, you want to use something like 'RUclips Enhancer', and addon for things like FF or Chrome).
But being able to see, and being able to understand is a different matter. But when your eyes can at least quickly see enough, and are trained, then you can go in game, and jump around just to get a layout of what to be looking for. It is when you really start to master that, and then with the quick speed at this level, that things really start to come together.
But even with that, don't get me wrong, I am not close to Serral's level. But it doesn't give me eyesores for most of the time, save for some of only the most exciting combat moments in their first person, then I can lose track. I am still more or less having to pause it though for a great deal of it to actually understand the full extent of what they did on that screen though, but I do hope to eventually get there. And I think this is definitely the way to go to improve. I've noticed a difference; now it seems watching anything like this on 1x or normal speed, it's just like, it takes forever for things to develop, build, move, the combat clicks, everything. Where before, that was the speed in which I thought of things like that. Slowly built up both my tolerance of such speeds incrementally (I think a max is hit at some point), and my understanding, which is even slower to build up.
No one red this

As for if you, if you aren't interested in a comment, don't post. No one needs nor wants some person just sitting down talking about how uninteresting he is to read things.
I want to note that, i feel like as with APM due to the larva mechanic; zerg have a slight advantage in SPM due to the inject mechanic. That camera screen flip with the queen hotkey is soooo fast for these two. Edit: not that it takes away from 60 avg SPM which is still insane. "ZvZ is boring"...

Notice how they handle their hotkeys and control groups; as soon as the larva are spent they add the units to the appropriate control groups. Another thing people always overlook is their use of saving camera locations with hotkeys (Shift + F1, F2, etc.); this allows them to not worry about slow panning or using the minimap to look at positions of interest more than once. The reason it looks like the camera is constantly spazzing out all over the map is because the majority of the time in SC2 you shouldn't be looking at the physical map but at the bottom bar; this tells you majority of useful information versus the game camera which only shows a fraction of what you can see if you're looking primarily at the minimap.
Wow, that was an amazing game. It hurt my head to watch it, first person. But it was worth it.
I played competitive for 8 years and it took a great toll on my hands and vision, now that esports is even bigger I suspect many will have issues.
It's sad really, this kids play until they are 23-26 and then simply can't anymore. What happens after that?
@@honsou285 The length of time and how much they are willing to suffer will greatly affect there lives after esports. Near the end I was having to put my hands in ice water each evening and carry around ice packs. It does not take to much for me to overwork my hands and wrists quickly to a painful level.
@@krom6017 So what do you do now? How do you survive once you aren't able to support yourself with the game anymore? Seems like the current state of money in the game is around the same as extremely lower end Baseball AAA, but the players are the best of the best. Do you think that we'll see millions becoming common enough for people to wreck their bodies and still be able to support themselves the rest of their lives off their winnings?
@@M33f3r I work from home now with my wife. The fortnite payouts were incredible and it appears to keep growing. Considering how much my hands hurt all the time I wonder if esports could be worse for you than other sports. Not to mention lumbar issues down the road. I'm unable to play any fast twitch games and relegated to flight sims or space games via hotas. What would be ideal would be to get in and do well and know when to quit and save your winnings but this is a sport for the very young. Unless you have great genetics or a tolerance for surgery I do not see anyone lasting like they are able to in other sports.
This. Check out games that don't disrespect player's bodies to play, like Chess! Lichess dot org
Watched lowko cast the series before this :) really fun to see reynor's perspective, gret video!
I'm having beer while watching this and now my eyes hurts and I wanna puke.
THAT AWKWARD EVO CHAMBER LOL I SAW IT
MOTHER OF STACRAFT! This was AMAZING! I m speechless. BEST ZvZ EVER!
Well I bit my nails to nothing watching this lmaoo what a game
Best zerg vs zerg game.. agreeded. Wowzer
Reynor had almost 200apm over serral on average.. what a beast.. the next gen
As a platinum player I am not allowed to watch this much quality.
Can someone tell me, after seeing this, why some folks think ZvZ is a boring matchup..?
Because it was for a very long time.
Im a plat scrub and I hate playing zvz, always loved watching it though.
Lower league ZvZ ends with a single bane hit most of the time, because no one knows how to split and everyone overdoes it on lings.
Zvz used to be like 5 mins of ling bane or 10 mins of roach v roach
I gotta go and hear the casters reaction to this
No gg is how the best games end.
EPIC!!! Love this man great vid
They've gone plaid!
Apm : 544
Winter : Looks 550+ to me
I really like first person mode actually at first it's kinda a turn off because it seems way to fast and confusing but watching this I actually enjoyed it a lot it. You feel way more like you are actually playing like you can really feel the chaos and the panic with this crazy game.
I thought Winter was going to pass out. That was an insane game. Wow.
Reynor playing Zerg hurts my brain. He should be a Terran player, lol. I have never seen a pro game end in elimination!
3:23 Did their Metabolic Boost (zergling move speed) finish at the exact same time?
The shittiest part about this is, unless youve played starcraft, im not sure you could really appreciate this, insane
They’ve gone to plaid!
Why did this remind me of the "Where is the air support" scene in bl opening cinematic?
Holy hatcheries that was intense.
i miss red alert 1 back on the old days
60 screens per minute is not lesse then one per second, but EXACTLY one per second ;-)
But yes, I get what you mean - they can even be faster!
What was the name of the song at 14:45
Never thought I'd see that happen.
Its like watching a horse race with you..
Huh, so that's how to beat Serral.
Good stuff winter
Welcome to BRONZE LEAGUEEE ... viewers!!!
That was an amazing match!
more 1st person content!!! great video ^.^
I am way too much of a casual viewer to comprehend what is happening in first person view.
Wow, what an intense game!
What an incredible game.
if you told me this is match between super hightech Ai i would believe you
Anyone got a ruler? Got to messure this game, was to close...
Simply epic game!

Seizure warning boyos
Please do Protoss and Terran eyes as well
He has done terran with maru
7:00 actually serral knew about the spire all the way his later spire was a response to the spire of reynorto catch him off guard...
My eyes hurt.
reynor needs to play terran smh
There is an interesting thing about that first person view. We can notice there is nothing Amazing about group control management... So why these dude are so better than average player? I have a clear idea but have no clue why they do it better... Explanation... They manage camera very good i don't mean camera base every plat can creat and use camera... I mean switching the screen on particular unit... They never miss a spot... I mean sometime I would have a group control with zergling and add roach to it.... And ling would be in my opponent base to arrase and I would macro and get back to the group control with the ling and roach.. But instead of getting into the battle I would be teleporte on the popping roach in my base..... Really bad to conrel unit during a fight.... So I noticed reynor usually creat a bunch of unit and get them to a group control.... Big load of unit and when he arasse make 20 ling ona separate group control and if he sees there is no way to arass he add this group to the main group army.... The key is there..... They never miss a screen... Always on top of action.... That s the key.... Is there something to avoid to get to a point on the map you don't want to? As in my exemple you attack creat unit.... And somehow u get back to ur base whilst micro unit in the battle filed.... It would be a nice understanding if I would understand why it does happened.... Or should you creat unit in a separate group control and add them later on? Math would say you would get to the place on the map where u got the most unit (in number I mean).. But I remember some games I creat 5 unit more... On a whole 70 supply army and was teleporte back to my main.....never understood why
One other thing.... Is backing unit when ur away from them and hold position.. How many time u would lose unit on a bio terran push because terran just steam marin back and forward.... :P
700APM 650 spam :D
My eyes hurt from all the blinking...
Initial D someone?
So intens
I feel like lately all the finals are ZvZ.
What are you implying?
Nice zvz
What the Puck?
Wow so if I get 500+ apm I'll be a pro player?!?!?!
I'm bronze and this made me sick, 13:50 and signing off.

Hey can someone tell me where you get to upload download these replay? Ty

wow
Wow
This is so fucking dizzy
Dear dog they've gone to plat!
But Raynor do lose anyhowe... :)

You have good content and are pretty witty. That makes you enjoyable to listen to. It's 1000x better when you don't do your stupid fake nasaly throat voice. Thank you doing that less in this video.
Edit: holy $hit you go into overdrive near the end there. I revoke my comment.
now I know what guys mean with "more enthusiastic" casters
no, thx. not my annoying cup of tea
didnt know holding z for 15 seconds was considered something amazing.
@Qimodis Soju here is implying that the high apm is due to the apm inflation that comes from making zerglings. When you hold down a key to make zerg units it inflates your apm as they all count as an action. Am unsure if it was a joke or whatever cause internet context is hard.
60 screens a second is something amazing. APM not so much.
you know i enjoy watching SC2 but i cant stand watching players like this they basically arent even playing the game might as well be watching flashing lights.
Unfortunately the better you are, the faster and less fun to watch you have to be
