Lara I love your LFA pillow! Thanks for the chenille yarn tip, that will be so much easier to find just the right color. Thank you so much for all the kind words about my bag, I just need more time in the day at this point lol.
Love how you finished the Halloween Parade pillow in an “abbreviated” format. I stitched it fully but may do another one like yours. I have been wanting to do some trim finishing with glue…thanks for the tips!
Thank you! The fabric fusion glue was easy to work with and dried clear. I pinned along the chenille while it was drying to keep it in place. Worked great, very fast and easy!
I’ve used chenille yarn for other projects and always thought that they would work on finishing crossstitch pattern and you confirmed that theory for me. ❤️
Great video. I would vote for the Fiber on a Whim cream and sugar. Also you can order small cuts of linen from 123 stitch (reasonably priced) to see how the fabric looks in person. Then the smaller pieces can be used for ornaments. I would also suggest Jean Farish FlossTube #15 for one over one stitching. Excellent tutorial. Beautiful projects.
Like all your finishes! Very well done! For your first Hats I would either use the lighter fabric and do a little bit of teadyeing or use Xju Designs Little Bunny , Marbled Bunny, Rustic drab, Light Hazelnut. Even XJuDesigns Dirty Brown would look good.
Thank you for the recommendations! I was actually looking at Xju Designs Etsy shop at a few of the colors you mentioned. Since they are in Hungary, I wouldn’t receive my order until mid October. It may be worth the wait to get a color I’m really happy with for that piece. I’ll see if I can some in stock in the States first. Thank you 💖
I would suggest to see if you can find some Dirty Teacup by needle & flax for your sampler. It’s a very popular sampler linen and has some mottling but not nearly as drastic as Crème brûlée.
The pillows are cute. I bought the scented candles too. The only problem is that the electricity went out one winter because of a storm and all I had to use were scented candles. Note to self...buy unscented candles for emergency use. Yeah, the scent of all the different candles got to be a bit strong. I laugh when I think about it.
Jan had a destash sale in June on Instagram. That sale was on her main profile JanHicksCreates but I believe she has another account called JanHicksCreates_Destash, both are on Instagram. I haven’t seen her post anymore items in a few months.
Love your videos! Great stitching as always! Love the way you step out and do your own thing!
Thank you so much! 😊💖
I love the cream and sugar fabric! I don’t know why but it seems appropriate for the 82-year-old designer. Such lovely finishes too!
Thank you so much! I do like how the floss colors really show on the cream and sugar linen. 😊
Another great video ❤ thanks for sharing with us ❤
Thank you ❤️
Love your newest episode ❤ I’m having a great time working along with the SAL. Happy Stitching!
Thank you so much! Love seeing your progress on the SAL 💖
Such cute projects. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed week and happy stitching. Lucinda
Thank you so much, you too! 💖
Using the chenille yarn is a brilliant idea!
Thank you, it’s nice to find more options for trim!

I understand, I feel the same way! 😄

I’m glad it worked, it’s nice to have more options for trim ❤️
@@textilly I bet it would work with twisting two strands together too ❤️
Colors pop on cream and sugar! I’ve seen several people show tabby cat, some are more mottled than others. Your pillow finishes look great!
Thank you so much and good to know about the tabby cat linen! 😊

Thank you Sarah for the great suggestions and fabric advice! I will definitely check out Jean’s video on over one stitching.😊❤️
Thanks for the link to the Jan Hicks freebie... I love your framed version!
Thank you! It’s a fun, quick stitch for fall. 🍁😊

That’s a good point about the unscented candles, I’m sure that was a winter to remember! Thanks so much for watching! 💖
Maybe tea dye some fabric for your sampler? Great finishes!
Great idea, thank you for the suggestion and for watching! 😊
Do you have a link for Jan Hicks destash site?
Jan had a destash sale in June on Instagram. That sale was on her main profile JanHicksCreates but I believe she has another account called JanHicksCreates_Destash, both are on Instagram. I haven’t seen her post anymore items in a few months.
Thank you. I need to get on Instagram more. I'm not very good at how it works.
