It’s crazy bc Alabama actually has 17 (fake natty claims blah blah blah you can say that about literally every one of these teams stop cherry picking) and almost all of them have come after 1960
I did a little research on Alabama's football record over the last 60 years. I started there because Coach Paul Bryant won his first one in 1961. In that time, Bama has won 12 national championships. They've had 11 other seasons in which they lost only one game. In several of those years, they went undefeated until they lost their bowl game or a national championship game. So Bama was just one win per season from having 23 championships. They've had 12 other years in which they lost two games. So that's 35 of the last 60 years where they've lost two or fewer games.
Yale played in a time where you wouldn’t be down till you stopped moving, so people sewed briefcase handles onto players pants and lineman dragged them whenever tackled for a couple extra yards
People talk about Alabama claiming titles. Pretty sure a lot of colleges claimed titled. I mean Auburn supposedly has 3 when they were voted the champs one time
as a bama fan id be ok with 16 because the 1941 claim is sus at best (we lost two games while there were undefeated teams that year), but 1934 def should have been counted.

If so then that means Alabama should have 17 championships. Not 15 championships. And some sources even have Alabama's numbers at 21 or 22 championships. Alabama has 17 that is not a question
@@lukejohnston6614 Yeah, when they crowned themselves champions for at least 6 of those.
Luke Johnston less than that officially. One of their natties was when they went 9-2 and finished in the 20s in the AP poll but just claimed a title

Why isn't Yale in fbs d1?
False: Alabama has won 18 championships!
False: Alabama "claims" 17 national championships
In a few hours Alabama will have 18
@@seahawkjoe4038, yes sirrrr!!!!
Alabama has won 18 national championships what is yell talking about research it.
I think championships before the early 1900 hold less weight simply because there weren’t as many teams to play to begin with.
Thats kinda dumb there was like 5 teams when it first started and wasn’t even a championship game shouldn’t count
Bama fan, I'm guessing?
@@OhioOwns No
I only see Bama fans crying about that....
@@OhioOwns Idc I’m just saying
Nice
Bama had 17🤦🏼♂️
Lol no they don't
@@kylethomas2993 yeah they do
Very interesting. I would like to see a listing from say 1985 and/or 2000.
Lmao!!! All the triggered gumps in the comment section with the type type type cause they feel cheated cause you didn’t list all their “championships”
Well this is a video on how many championships the top ten schools have?????
If you are counting Yale, Princeton, and Harvard then you are counting basically all the championships handed out by different selectors before the major polls began. If so then that means Alabama should have 17 championships. Not 15 championships. And some sources even have Alabama's numbers at 21 or 22 championships. Some years they got shafted by most selectors but still got it by a few. They have it listed as 17 championships but also have 4 extra championships given credit to them by the NCAA themselves. That I don't even think they claim. Gosh.
Alabama has 17 dude! Lol really Yale and Princeton??? 🤣🤣🤣
Bama pretends to have 17, most of which are BS claimed titles. Really they have less than 10
@@theanimationlads7598 wrong! Bama has more they don’t count which is the ones You’re talking about. The bear has 6 by his self and Saban has 5. Keep on hating....
@@DrakeBlackwolf they claimed a few when they should not of but lots of teams do that
@@oddoperator3524 LOL no they don’t......
@@DrakeBlackwolf with out them we would not have football so they do also they won some in the 1900s
Apparently Notre dame has 13 national title wins, but Michigan has only 9. I thought they were both tied at 11. Am I wrong?
Alabama has 18 claimed national titles now. Fix this graph!
Bama just got number 16!!!
18
Alabama was screwed in 1945 , 1966, 1977.
Hahahahahaha
1966 especially
Adam Garcia how so?
@@KentlandVFD33 Alabama started the season #1 went 11-0 and was the only perfect team in the country. Notre Dame settled for a tie vs Michigan State did not play in a bowl game and was given the title because of the northern hated of Alabama plus Alabama won it in 64 and 65 voters did not wanna see Alabama win 3 in a row. Plus the polls were used to punish Alabama for segregation which had nothing to do with the football team.
Did Oregon ever make it to the national championship
I think twice.
2010 and 2014, first year of the playoff
@@daneamann6225 Oregon lost both of em 😢😢
Nah Yale and Princeton don’t count😂
Yes they do when someone ask me who is the best football team of all time is say hello jk 😂😂😂
Yeah they do, people hate on them because they won all of them before WWI but they definitely should be counted
