I never actually hear the sound of a F15 gun! From an A10 and an F16 for sure. In the eighties and nineties I was doing musical gigs on several island in the Netherlands and I had the pleasure of hearing two A10s doing strafe runs. I heard F16 strafe runs MANY times there, but an F15? Really awesome sound! It sounds a bit like one of these very aggressive rave synthesizer sounds from back in the days (just before the Matrix came out, so that must have been late 90s.
@@BvckGames The F-16 already does CAS and that's been part of it's mission profile pretty much since it's inception in '79. The vast majority of USAF CAS missions since the first Iraq war in '91 have been between the F-15E Strike Eagle/Mudhen and the Viper.
After listening to gun runs from the Hog, Hornet, Falcon/Viper, and the Mudhen, I’ve officially come to the conclusion that I’m in the BRRRRRRRT rabbit hole. Also, why do the Hornet, Viper, and Eagle sound different even though they all use the same cannon (M61 Vulcan)?
It depends on everything, air pressure, wind direction, and many other variables. Listen to the swiss Hornets at AXALP X live fire shows, even the F5's 20 mm sound deeper then this because they are in a valley.
@@MetaliCanuck the F-5’s 20mm sound deeper because it has a *much* lower rate of fire, I don’t know if there’s any footage but try to find a Tomcat firing the Vulcan on the LOW setting and you’ll see how deep it can get 😅
you dont go from high school to f-15. get a hard degree and then apply for aviation. if you go to a recruiting office out of high school and say you want an f-15 you are not going to get one.

The F-16 and F-15 have the same gun, along with almost every modern US fighter
So they are planning on makin the f-16 cas at some point

I suggest this article that describes the differences: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAU-8_Avenger

The GAU-8 is menacing but the M61 sounds evil
That's my baby right there. I grew up with the F-15 I will always love the F-15.
sounds scarier than the A10 in my opinion
A bit more than a month ago I saw a Finnish F-18 (leader) and F-15 fly above. An awesome sight.
F-15's Brrrt went OOOOOHHHH during one clip.
I'd like to hear all Brrrts.
For reasons. . .
The A-10 is menacing, the F-15 sounds like it came straight from hell
Honest is somehow sounds more brutal then the A-10 with the jet engine going as well
Whew! I’d hate to be on the other end of that bad boy
wouldnt even hear it. if you hear it your on the right team xd
It’s sounds so goddamn angry I love it
Sounds more like a Hornet.
haha, get the joke? K, I go back in my cave.
Sounds like the 8th circle of hell!

M61 20mm Vulcan, built in the 1959 is still used today. The reliability of the American guns' dates back from their .50 Cal M2 Machine Gun

F-15 is one of my options if I get into the USAF after high school.
Since you have to become an officer first, look into colleges with Air Force ROTC programs.
Mudhen or Eagle?
I wish I could be a pilot. I look forward to getting CAS from you.
