    If Tyson Gay got a really good start from that Shanghai race, I reckon it would be 9.64 seconds

    • @AthleticProductionz
      @AthleticProductionz  7 лет назад +10

      I didn't realise how poor his start was in that race until I put this video together. At least five others were well ahead of him in the first 10 metres.

    • @sub10-zin15
      @sub10-zin15 7 лет назад +9

      Athletic Productionz yeah. I have a feeling that coleman will break that 9.69 in the near future.

    • @biglilrichard
      @biglilrichard 7 лет назад +19

      Sub 10-Zin i dont think so, not unless he runs it at eugene. 9.82 to 9.68 and under is a huge difference, and colemans start is already very good, much harder to improve top end speed than to improve the start. Sprinters as exceptional as tyson gay dont come around very often, gay was kinda unlucky that he shared his career with the rise of many other huge talents

    • @sub10-zin15
      @sub10-zin15 7 лет назад +2

      Richard Bao haha. You make me laugh. Tyson Gay never ran near 9.8’s in his collegiate days. Christian Coleman still has many things to prove. Look at his god awful form from that Eugene race. Tyson Gay is a very technical sprinter with near flawless form. Coleman hasn’t reached his peak yet (young)

    • @biglilrichard
      @biglilrichard 7 лет назад +9

      Sub 10-Zin the fact still remains that in general, sprinters who rely mostly on their fast start have a harder time improving. Also, Eugene is still a very fast track, and there are many athletes who set fast times at a young age only to not improve on it (think trentavis friday, 10.00 in high school, where's his 9.8 time?). Coleman may break 9.69, who knows? All im saying is that i dont think he will

      I think had Bromell not picked up multiple long-term injuries he could potentially be the best sprinter the U.S. has to offer outside of Gay. So I believe Bromell has more natural talent but whether he will reach his potential is yet to be seen.

    America's sprint corps may be in trouble in Tokyo 2020. Of those 10 athletes, only four are active. And of those four, two will be in their mid to late 30s, and well past peak performance age. While an infusion of fresh talent is definitely warranted, perhaps the 110m hurdles World champion, Grant Holloway, or Noah Lyles, men's 200m World Champion could supplement an aged, somewhat shorthanded group.
