I bought three of these now, our speed out of the box was 32mph... I am going to change one completely and see what happens. These our good rigs, just some changes and lets speed. I liked your new wheels and tiers. I might do the same also with new wheels. Thank you!
Thanks for the video man. Take a look at 11:48 you got the front/left and rear/right tire mixed up. At 22:45 front/left and front/right are switched. :D
Thanks for this, I'm trying to figure out if these work on a wltoys 124017 (same as the 019). I know the 104001, 124017, 124019 all use the same drivetrain but I saw a video that is somewhat conflicting.
@@runn1nwith5izzorz the spare parts list for the 104001 says the wheel nut is an M3. If you want me to measure anything or send some photos give me a shout.
@@kylegeldmaker thanks for the response. I didn't realize I missed your comment. I decided against going with my idea of using 17mm hex tires and an sticking with contact foam drag tires. Thank you again
🇺🇸Just subscribed I am a local boy Cassleberry/UCF area that’s a sweet spot over by Winter Springs field park they have so much room great video 👍 good luck man🇺🇸
Are there bashers out there often? Ive been looking for some kind of RC community for the better part of 3 years and there doesn't seem to be much in central Florida
@@kylegeldmaker 🇺🇸I will find out for you I know the guys over at Central Florida Toyota they do some bashing and crawling I will find out next week buddy 👍 bro enjoy your weekend
@@kylegeldmaker not yet. I'm thinking of getting a arrma typhoon first since it's a little bigger than the 104001. But I'm definitely gonna grab one of them since it's bang for your buck💪
@@jordanbriones7464 It just occurred to me given the recent release schedule for Arrma, a Typhon EXB might be on the horizon. If that's true, I'm definitely getting that!!

Nice vid bud I’ve gone 71 mph on 2 s and 86 mph on 3 s with my 104002 basically the same buggy don’t waist your time with 1/8 wheels loose to much differential gear ratio just go to 1/10 foams both of my speeds were set with stock gearing just larger pinion you can check it out on H and w rc racing channel
@@runn1nwith5izzorz I got a set of the 20mm winding hub adapters thinking wider would make it more stable but I don't like them , too much wobble in the tires. I've done a lot of mods onthis ride and it's nice but I'm gonna sell it and go 1/8 scale. No matter what you do it's still 1/12 scale
Don't forget to drop a like and comment on my previous Big Rock video to get some RPM arms for your V1 or V2 Big Rock or Granite.

Oh I do see everyone has different speeds, hum! Thanks!
Thanks for the information.
Great vid thanks! I can use these even on the 144000 right? Such a short wheel base needs that wide rear track.
Awesome vid Rcfam 👊🏾😎

I don't have a 12th scale but if it's the same hex size I'd bet you'd be alright. I believe they're 12mm.
@@kylegeldmaker they're 12mm but I think the axle is m3.

Does this stock gearing use mod 6? Thanks
👍👍bello!!🤙
Using stock pinion 3650 4500kv with 60 amp esc tis hits 39 mph on stock 2s...48mph on 2s is very fast!
too small brattery the wheels changed the gearing you think about it an its got to pull more to get started i think
Bigger tires pulling too much juice. I got a 120A esc and a 4300kv in a 124017 ànd it's stupid fast on 3s. Can't open it all the way up its a rocket
Which adapters did you use? I'm wanting to grab some dBoots Hoons but can't quite figure out which adapters to grab.
