I have a mechanism that only rotates with zero translation motion. I don't see any other option other than pin constraint that I could use but there is no option to restraint the part to only allow it to rotate without any translation motion

Hi, thanks for your question. If you need only rotate model - please use PIN connection: ruclips.net/video/R_jICJpI8bc/видео.html

Is this not available in Creo 8.0 and newer? Slot alternative does not seem to exist.

Hi Jonathan, I do not believe that Slot connection is not in Creo 8 (I will double check and confirm) Bye Vladimir

I was trying to use the drag function and mechanism in Creo 8.0 student version but its not working like I see in your video. I'm wondering if these functions are blocked - I can't imagine this being difficult to do. Any assistance is appreciated for now I'm just trying to rotate a component around a shaft.

Please check the video 1.34 > explanation how to move object without dragger

If you are in the "snapshot mode" only click on the model and then move mouse (3.33)

So what have is a cam constrained to a shaft. As the cam turns on the shaft it will move a cam follower up and down however I've had no luck so far in getting the cam to rotate so i can check the motion etc. Ive used this in SW but in Creo this is the first time. Thank you for your response.

This looks broken in CREO 6, is that true or is a local parameter we have screwed up?

Hi, thanks for your question... I think that you can try slot connection on some another example. It works fine.

Your videos are amazing. I have trouble with piping features in creo. Not the part module one, the pipe feature in assembly. Can you please help? I searched a lot of videos but nothing is satisfactory
