Lmfao 😂yup. Bcuz we already know how to cook,we can't tell pple the measurements,we wasn't brought up like that. Either you know how do it or you don't.
I like how you kept your hand that handled the raw chicken away from your spices. You're a very thoughtful cook and I wish you the best with your channel.
I have never washed my met before cooking it, unless it smells funny or feels weird. The heat will kill any germs or bacteria on the outside of the meat. But I know a lot of people do wash their meat and scrub it, each to their own. Thank you for posting this video.
OMG girl! Chicken and pork especially should always be washed with a little lemon/ lime or vinegar mixed in water. Also wash everything down after preparing like the sink, counter and anything that the raw meat touched because the juices from these meats can breed bacteria if allowed to sit on surfaces and the raw meat is also handled by many hands during processing and packing at the stores. And you think that the heat will clean the germs? This is why I don't eat everybody's cooking.
Humans are tough. Mom is almost 92 and from the 1930's to the 1950's grew up with no electricity, indoor plumbing, running water or refrigeration. They put their meat up the fireplace chimney to smoke, salted it, put it in the well to keep it cold. If it got bugs in it, just cut off that buggy or moldy part and eat the good parts. It didn't seem to kill them.
LOVE this! I’m gonna do this for Sunday whole we’re at church. We’ll come home and all that’ll need to be done is 5 min in the broiler. I also have an Instant Pot and I’ll set that for 10 min for baked potatoes and voila - Sunday dinner is served nice and easy! 😍
Great idea! May I suggest that instead waiting till after to brown/ crisp your chicken try pan searing it first in butter till the skin is the way you want it and then put it in the crock pot 💛
Love this. Ive been through about ten vids but this girl is the best. Just into the cooking, does not harp on and waste time. Straight to the point, no messing around and damn tasty food. Had to subscribe. Well done sis.
@@CraftingWithAprilD THIS! Thank you so much for responding. Quick question. Are you doing any teachers appreciation gifts for next year? I need some ideas. Trying save money
Will be making this tonight! It looks delicious. Drumsticks are a staple at my house, lol, and this is just the recipe I've been looking for! Can't go wrong with the crockpot! Lol
Your chicken looks great and easy to make too, can't wait to try it in the slow cooker ....get yourself some of them latex gloves( 50 in a pack) for your chicken, they work great for mixing seasonings on your chicken and that way you don't have to touch the chicken.
My new work schedule has made making dinner impossible and I've finally needed to put my crock pot to good use. I tried this and it was a hit with the fam! Thanks for the recipe! 😊
I'm not a chicken cooking guy, but bbque chicken is one of my favorites, i always tend to burn it whether I'm frying or grilling or either comes out raw, thank you so much for sharing your well presented video that I've saved n most definitely be using my crok pot for for this recipe, it's my last option and feel I can't go wrong and have a good meal. Greeting from the state of Arkansas.
Making this tonight. I'll let you know. Oh my goodness, I had to put it off by a few days, but it's in the crock pot right now! This recipe is to die for! We all had seconds. So delicious and easy to make. Add Bushes Baked Beans on the side and your tongue and tummy will be so grateful. Thank you pretty girl. I have subscribed.
Tech troubles in the kitchen lol No worries, love the simplicity and defiantly going to back for mote crock pot cooking lessons. Thanks for the humor and instruction.. Just roll with it..
I wound up doing this on Monday. So good! You have to try this! Only family complaint was "What no chicken breasts?" Guess I'll be adding more chicken pieces.
This is the way to do it, without having to fuss and yes i'm like your family, unless it's stewed with gravy yea put it under the broiler and i think this is why the crock pot is not use when doing BBQ chicken because you always want that "broil factor" it reminds us of "on the grill cooking on your BBQ chicken" But your right take it out of the crock pot and put it under the broiler to get that special something that most of us love. PS. TAKING THE TIME TO DO THAT EXTRA STEP OF BROILING MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE, ONE MORE PS. PEOPLE WITH A DEVELOPED PALETTE ONLY NEED TO DO THE EXTRA STEP! FOR those who don't get it knowing the difference between "great food" and ok food
So this is okay to cook at the low setting for like 8 hours? This looks good to cook while I'm at work and can come home to something delicious with as little maintenance as possible. I'm just a man who's new to cooking and slow cooking.
I'm a bit late responding but I have never cooked them on slow for that period of time. I would say it should be okay but I feel more comfortable around 5-6 hours on slow but that also depends on how many you are cooking. Hope that helped.
I just started cooking. Even started a little RUclips channel. I didn't think I had it in me to cook. The Pandemic brought out some untapped potential. Ima have to make this soon. Ima try Liquid smoke when I try it.
Why not mix the powdered seasonings then rub on the chicken for evenness. Good video. Did you spray the cooker first before the layed chicken? Some do, some don't. Two and half hours, that's great.
Mzz AJD It sure did. ☺️Thank you for your recipe. I always dread cooking chicken but this was definitely something I enjoyed cooking. Everyone in my family loved it, my husband, 7 year old daughter and 2 year old son all asked for seconds. I made pull pork for the Superbowl but this is a lot faster and a bit cheaper to feed a crowd. I can't wait to repeat this recipe and try other of yours. Already planning on the next meal.
I followed your recipe to the letter and had people in my house arguing over the last piece of chicken 😋
Ha! This one never does me wrong🤭😂
Lol.
I love my ppl. We always "eye balling" how much seasoning we put on stuff😂 we don't do measurements at all.
🤣🤣🤣
Lmfao 😂yup. Bcuz we already know how to cook,we can't tell pple the measurements,we wasn't brought up like that. Either you know how do it or you don't.
😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 #BIGOLEFACTS
Just throw the seasonings until our ancestors say STOP
Well, I'm white and we eye-ball spices as well.

Thank you!
Do you spray the crock pot or add any liquid at all? I'm so afraid of ruining mine. Can't afford to replace. Please answer, I'd like to try this.
No, but you can put a crockpot liner in there if you like. The chicken will produce its own liquid so you do not need to add additional liquid
Do you have to add water?
No water. Just the bbq sauce
@@CraftingWithAprilD Thank you so much i really appreciate it . I was confused the bbq turned to juices and i thought maybe i missed a step.
Where is your basking dish? Where is it from
About to make this using chicken thighs. Wish me luck. I’ll be back to tell my results 🖤🖤
Good luck and please do!!🤗
