For some reason, since I was little I loved how, at the end of the train sequence, the game mutes the main sound channels with only the triangle wave playing the last few notes, something that is absent from every port of the game.
I love the ending theme in this game. It symbolizes pure satisfaction. And that's the sensation I got when I beat this game. It was a tough game. But I enjoyed playing it though. It was lots of fun, and it's always a pleasure to look back on today.
This game had the most awesome music of the whole series, MM2 a close second. The intro, ending, and all of the levels (besides Dust Man) were incredible.
I remember beating this then my mom shutting it off once he got on the train and the music started with the light switch that was connected to the nes power, the TV was separate, It was the most traumatic pffffffffffffft and static pop on the screen ever!!!
Something like that happened to me, only it was with Mega Man 5. We had just recently moved my TV and NES from one wall of my room to another (the wall that had the light switch). I had gotten to Dr. Wily's castle for the first time, and my mom called me out to dinner. I wasn't used to the TV being on the wall with the light switch yet, so I accidentally flipped the switch to turn the light off as I was leaving the room...completely forgetting that it would also turn off the TV and NES.
Imagine a mega man film franchise where they kept to the games but changed a few things up and one of the films could end with dr wily escaping on mega man and the castle self destructing and say it combines both mega man 4 and 5 In one and the end of the film when wily escapes he has dr Cossack and his daughter held hostage still and also dr light. Imagine the cliff hanger even though we already know what will happen but still.
@NerdilyDone I respectfully disagree, it could've been much better. It sounded like it was recorded with really crappy equipment, and I found it boring. Dust Man himself looked cool though, and I did like his level. His theme just didn't have the quality that the other bosses' themes had.
Thee Hobbit Only Mega Man 3 had more of an ending, 1 and 2 also just jumped to credits immediately after Wily's defeat. Although yes, the door switch in MM4's ending is pure bullshit
4 and 7 have the best endings of the entire SERIES. Coincidentally, those are my 2 favorites of the series! Seriously, screw 2, screw 3, 4 has better weapons, better music, better stages, and a bette ending than 2 & 3 combined.
The ending when he jumps off the train. Always made me want to cry.
Dude's so deep that can fly whenever he wants but chooses to take the long way home every time.
I agreed capcom was always good at making us think about stuff
Muchas cosas que procesar.....
3:27 that's Yusuke Murata the guy who's drawing One Punch Man
and he still has his golden Rockman 4 cartridge!!!!!1 I WANT IT!!!!!
He drew the dust man and the crystal man also from megaman 5 according to wikipedia (Yes only Brazilian)
Did anyone else realize that the train Mega Man rides home on, is the same one in the intro scene?
I did :D
I noticed this is really cool
Train is paid actor (:

That song...is so beautiful. And Megaman...looks at peace.

I finally beat this game today...after 30 years 😂
Wily escaping is a big middle finger, but I love the train part

Mega Man totally just hitched an illegal ride on that train.
That's true
Frito Well, how else was he going to get back home to Dr. Light, Eddie, Rush & Roll? LOL

@@WizardOfWor Teleporting, maybe?
Well, technically he is luggage
Ahh nostalgia... First Mega Man game I ever beat.
Best ending of any Mega Man game
I would have to say 3 is lol
I remember beating this then my mom shutting it off once he got on the train and the music started with the light switch that was connected to the nes power, the TV was separate, It was the most traumatic pffffffffffffft and static pop on the screen ever!!!
because the Nintendo was plugged to the light switch. she accidentally turned it off

RetroGamerAaron since when does a lightswitch has control over power outlets?
u poor man
@@ghostkiller4652 Often in rooms without light fixtures a wall switch will control an outlet. Maybe that's outdated construction now?
probably the newest comment here, but i fucking love how the person who designed DUST MAN (my 3rd favorite robot master) ended up making One Punch Man
also made MM5 crystal man
murata our goat since 1991
I like how the Megaman 1 and 4 (and the bgs in some of Megaman 7) endings gave you the city and sometimes the Harbor.
this is my favorite ending of the old series. you earned that ride megaman
I love how when you destroy him, Wiley just launches into the air off the screen then comes back down..then just bows!
Wily Capsule from Mega Man IV is hell
lol Megaman 2's theme at the end
The fact that Megaman lives in the countryside is weirdly wholesome
Beautiful...

That's an epic MM2 title remix :D
The music at 0:55 definitely says "I just whooped hard-core ass. Now its time to kick back, relax, and drink a 12 pack of beer"
4 is the best game
I like how the doctor be pleading for forgiveness. i would have thought that he would have been killed in part 3 when that rock fell on him.
i just noticed that the bosses theme at the credits is a remix of megaman 2's intro.
And the Megaman 2 intro is a remix of the Megaman ending!
dr Wily is a patient man

Best game and ending of the NES area. 4 is better than 2 and 3, no matter what anyone says.
7 and 10 will always be my favorites
5 says hi
Can someone tell me how to start playing the game again after the “presented by Capcom” screen?
Start button
@@theradman9478 you need to reset the console if you play Famicom/NES version. PS1 and PS2 ports can be restarted.
Thanks for playing! Get ready to fork over your twenties for Mega Man 5 in a few months!
After this, Megaman endings weren't the same (except MM7).
Screw the train ticket just go on top of the train.

@sprsnc20 Cannot agree that. My personal favour is Mega Man 3 :)
ROCKMAN 3 is the best...
@NerdilyDone I respectfully disagree, it could've been much better. It sounded like it was recorded with really crappy equipment, and I found it boring. Dust Man himself looked cool though, and I did like his level. His theme just didn't have the quality that the other bosses' themes had.
didnt they do more of an ending in the prior games? not much of an ending here at all.
Thee Hobbit Only Mega Man 3 had more of an ending, 1 and 2 also just jumped to credits immediately after Wily's defeat. Although yes, the door switch in MM4's ending is pure bullshit

Well, Mega Man 2 started the golden age of Mega man, at least give it some credit. Some ideas are taken from 2.
