    Great video, used it to assemble my GSpeed chassis. One suggestion, use 14mm long screws to mount transmission to skid, the 16mm may be just a tad too long and run into gears inside case.

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  4 года назад +2

      Awesome! Glad the information was useful. Great idea on the 14mm long screws. The 16mm seems to be just the right size, but 14mm long screws will be safe for sure.

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  4 года назад +2

      Just a quick follow up. 16mm length screws to mount transmission to skid works well. I had recently opened up the transmission to upgrade the OD to 25%, and I noticed there were no extrusion into the transmission case. But if you feel that you don't want to risk it, then you should go with 14mm length.

      It depends if you are keeping the trailing setup, then you will only need the links for the front. Also front links will depend if you are running SOA (4 link setup plus steering and drag link) setup or still running CMS (3 link plus panhard link, steering link and drag link). You can reach out to Hardcore RC and ask them, and they should provide guidance.

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  2 года назад

      That’s one area that needs to be experimented on. I had Hardcore RC’s links that included bent steering links so I had less of an issue. Since then I swapped to Servo on Axle setup and I would recommend this route for better performance.

    • @BigSungHobbies

      It is intentionally wider. The skid is 78mm wide while the Dual Servo Mount by TGH is 67mm wide. The bend gives extra rigidity, and there are no issues whatsoever. TRX4 conversion is slightly more complicated due to transmission and links. The simplest option is to pick up a new transmission, and matching links from #hardcorerc. You can also try to work with what you have, but a bit of modification will be needed. That being said I recommend searching for LCG chassis that works best for TRX4 and ask in their FB pages before deciding. Personally I am a big fan of Gspeed, but other options works as well.
