So brilliant to have Korean chili paste in this dish. Hvnt tried yet but I can imagine it elevate the taste. Always loves the vibe of your videos and the twists you made to dishes ❤️
Middle Eastern shakshuka with East Asian sesame oil soysauce and gochujang served with South asian Roti- this is as Asian your breakfast can get honestly!
I like the touches you added to the Shakshuka, I will definitely try your version. Although I will say that looks a little too watery for my taste, I like the sauce a bit thicker than that
ooh i love me some shakshuka! thanks for the ideas-these extra flavors sound interesting!
I couldn't eat this in the morning cause...I can't eat much for breakfast
but this looks perfect for a light comforting lunch/dinner 🥰
Made it...loved it
oh my gosh I'm trembling with exctitement. My friends literally call me the "designated shakshuka lady" because it's my go-to weekend brunch and have made a whole Instagram page just to post about shakshuka like a madwoman. And to see you making it here is just amazing!!! Definitely going to try your recipe!!!
Wow this looks delish😍😍😍❤❤
Would miso be a good add-in if making non-spicy (for my little ones)?
Of course. Adds a lot of flavour. How about a bit of red pepper flakes or paprika shopping with it?
This dish is lovely but if it's for breakfast and u have to go through d whole process then u myt want to skip going to work.🤔🤣🤣🤣
First time I see chief pronounce it right. Almost Arabian accent
Not that it offends me or anything but isn't Shakshuka North Afican not middle eastern?
Shakshuka "Middle Eastern Dish" ????? 🤔🤔🤔🤔 I really don't like people getting the Geographical dish Wrong!!!! Try "North Africa" !!!!! 😡😡
*이 음식은 정말 건강하고 맛있어보이네요. 맨 마지막에 참기름 몇방울 떨어뜨려주면 정말 완벽한 한끼 식사가 될것같아요. 모두들 맛있게 드시고 건강하시길 바래요.This food looks really healthy and delicious. A few drops of sesame oil at the end will make a perfect meal. I hope you all eat deliciously and stay healthy.*
Love every time you mention what things are / are not traditional. It’s such a respectful way to talk about each and every culture’s take on things!
I was only thinking about this the other day - maybe adding some gochujang paste.
By the way anyone want a store cupboard hack - add gochujang paste to a tin of chicken noodle soup and poach some egg in it - different league.
"Not your kind of 5 minutes" ICONIC
I felt personally attacked 😂
Guessing Asian ingredients 33 seconds in: Gochujung chilli paste, soy sauce, star anise. Let's see if I'm right.
Edit: Okay, I got the star anise wrong and missed sesame oil, ginger and Asian herbs. Sesame oil?!? This I have to try. 🤭
I made this this morning! So delicious and perfectly spicy! Also, unrelated to this video but “left hand wet hand right hand dry hand” has changed my entire experiencing with breading things
As a trini, this looks like tomato choka with eggs, served with sada (or paratha)
I m ur biggest fan
So often people forget that Middle East, India and even Turkey is technically part of Asia...
@hamida matin Yes I know this but I wouldn't say we don't use the same ingredients. A lot of merchants brought their ingredients along the spice trade from Middle East to South East Asia back in the days. Cuisines are very different I agree, that's the amazing thing about it but we do share similar ingredients and cuisines evolve over time. Example, tomatoes were originally from the new world but we use it across the globe now.
Nah. Tyrkia was participating in Eurovision Song Contest until 2012, so they are European 😂
I love shakshuka!! One of the best things I love to have for breakfast. I add some spicy sujuk in mine. I will have to give your version a go!
I hope you love my version too!
@@Marionskitchen I made your version of Vietnamese fried chicken and my family loved that. So I will definitely love this version!
Perfect Marion..I've got a miserable cold. We've both been laid up all weekend. Another perfection from Australias favourite daughter xxx
I'm Tunisian and your chakchouka is so far from what i used to eat. But it doesn't matter yours looks so yummy🤩 . I must give it a try. Thank you !!👏🏼
الشكشوكة هي أكلة شمال إفريقية .. قالت لهم أنها من آسيا ههههههه..
Reminds of Mexican Huevos Rancheros or “ranch eggs” 😄
When I’m having a bad day or even when I’m not….you always make me smile. My husband even knows-the other day he came across one of your videos and called me over to ask isn’t this the woman’s channel I really like, lol. Thanks for making really nice content! 🥰
I was literally looking for asian- Ish breakfast and this came at the perfect time!
Brilliant with the spicy oriental twist 👌
A very Asian take on Eggs in Purgatory, would be amazing over a bowl of rice. I'm putting this one on the rotation.
Though it is North African in origin, today shakshuka is popular throughout the Middle East
marion looks a lot like her mama when she laughs :-)
Thank you. I gave this a shot with green pepper and courgette. It was delicious. 😂
Thanks for the inspiration.
I'm sure we will eat that again.
That looks yummy but just an information. Shakshuka is actually originated from Tunisia which is in North Africa not Asia and the meaning of the name shakshuka is "messy or a mess" and we have more than 5 types of Shakshuka such as pumpkin eggs, merguez shakshuka etc.. :)
I was hungry but now I’m bloody starving 🤤
Wow!!! You just make me hungry!!!! I am going to make this right now!! 😍😍❤️
This has got to be the best egg dish I’ve ever made. Such a divine recipe, Marion!
My first thought was like, Marion is going to add miso paste! Waited till the end of the video and rewatch the video - no, no miso paste.
Marion, I always wonder about something: We have "salça" in Turkey, and it is fermented either tomato or chili paste. Isn't it almost the same with "gochujang"? Do you have any idea about that?
Also, I am familiar with the shakshuka and also "menemen". I thought first, this was a menemen! You can check it out on that as well :)
Nice turn on my ordinary breakfast, love u ^^
Share tq
Marion that is Awesome love the Egg Hack lovin it !! Can't believe the red capsicum is sooo good !
Shakshuka is Tunisian so northern African first of all.
So many wrong information in this video 🙄
Love the flavour of this recipe, but I can never get the eggs right - yolks are hard but the whites are still runny. What is the trick to get this right?
It is from North Africa ( Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco)
Marion, this was breathtaking. I thank you for your wonderful recipes. My Saturday morning breakfast was divine!! I had thick handcut chips on the side.
Go away please don’t call this middle eastern shakshooka u r far far from the right shakshooka
been meaning to try shakshuka for about two months now, definitely trying this recipe 🤪
Its called EGG CHUTNEY from India
Chakchouka at the diner in the sumer, i love it from Algeria.
Sorry it from North africa to correct you not Midlel east africa lady North Morocco
I made it this morning, so delicious!! Love this
Try Bangladeshi version of shakshuka.❤❤❤
Was just craving watching a Marion video! Looks yum!
This looks so delicious, hmmm I want to bite into the monitor! One question: Why are you using a aluminium foil instead of a glass lid? You could better see what's going on inside the pan😁
yeah had the same question 😅
Maybe she didn't have the matching lid lol.
That's a popular breakfast in Egypt ❤️
No Onions in Shakshuka.
Sorry.
From Israel.
Just the way I cook it... shakshuka with Indian "Tadka".
this is a north african arabic specialty and not asian or jewish cuisine ..
OOO making this tomorrow! I have made a similar dish to this but this looks SO much better.
This looked sooo good I made a version with fish sauce, sweet soy and oyster sauce added to the tomato sauce.
Shakshouka is Middle Eastern not Asian.
who are these people who dont like fresh coriander?
Hi Marion, I would like to recommend you to do mushroom pie 😍
Did we just witness a domestic fight on the channel lol
I love the background and that shakshuka looks fabulous :)
Is miso the ingredient I'm not expecting? :D
Very nice. greetings from holland
I luv that korean tomato/chilli paste 🤩
Marion were is your beautiful wedding ring
Marion were is your beautiful wedding ring
I make the same recipe as this but added miso & sesame seeds too! So good.
How can someone not like coriander 😩
What can I use to substitute Gochujang?
❤❤❤😛🤪❤❤❤
It's not shakshuka without paprika.
It's definitely not middle eastern dish
The middle east is also part of asia…..
I followed this and it was amazing
Technically not part of Asia hahaha
Totally didn't realize this serves 4, but ate the whole thing myself anyways haha
I always thought shakshuka is a turkish/Mediterranean dish? lol it looks awesome and delicious!!
omg never mind😄 The *asian* in the title was just a little misleading, the middle east/Mediterranea isn't Asia
@hello is it me youre looking for Yeah I misunderstood 😅
I am a great fan of yours. I used to watch all your videos and you are an amazing cook. Whenever I search for any recipes I first check your channel. You are my first preference because all your recipes which I had made come out perfect!!!
I have tried 155 recipes for making nougat and I couldn't get the perfect texture of store-bought nougat. So I want you to make Nougat and share the recipe ...........please do not ignore this..................
Thank you, Marion for an excellent receipe!
A BETTER shakshuka as traditional ones were bland and boring AF. Add-in eggs DO NOT reheat well, so I'm going Korean or Nigerian - add hard boiled eggs to be coated in sauce.
Marion, you are such a sweet and calm chef. And you are so beautiful and charming. Your hubby is a lucky man. Bless his heart. This is an occasion where I will make this recipe because of how pleasantly you made it to be, and not just for the ingredients.
This recipe is not spicy at all!!!
Wow!!!!!!!!!!! Marion. That looks absolutely delicious. One pan meals are the best. First time I've ever seen you wear a sleeveless top. Looks great.
In Trinidad we call this tomato Choka (minus the eggs) and Roti 🫓
Kinda looks like the “eggs in hell” dish. Good stuff! 👍
She said it is ….. shashuka= hells eggs
@@newenglanddogmum7725 thanks Viaki
Wowza! Nice work
I made this today and it was sooo delicious. The only difference is I used culantro. Still delicious. Thanks so much for sharing. And I have extra spicy gochujang so it gave it an extra kick
Saved this recipe for future but would never make it for bfast. Takes too long XD this will be dinner one of these days.
I love you Marion ❤️ you are so cool 😎
Thank you so much for sharing all your beautiful videos. ❤️ I learned a lot from you how to cook a good dishes! You are so amazing 😻❤️🙏 keep up the great work 👍👏❤️
I need to make this and eat it in front of my egg phobic husband.
This hits every single flavor I like.
Maybe a squeeze of lime.
Or a makrut lime leaf....hmm....
adding coriander or dill to shakshuka is really not a good idea,
spring onion is great so is basil and even parsley is reasonable but dill and coriander really dosn't work well with shakshuka cooked, as garnish however its fine.
My poor weak stomach won't be able to handle this level of spice and acidity in the early morning but I'm definitely going to make this for lunch or dinner for sure. Thanks as always, Marion! 🙏
Wow! Just in time for my brekky 😍
Funny how you posted this 20 hours ago!
I used this recipe from your website for dinner 5 days ago! I wish you posted your video back then! Haha
Are you spying on my house? Cuz I swear I made this almost 1 to 1 by myself a week ago. wtf
Made this today. Really enjoyed this version of the shakshuka for a change & served it with your stir-fried bean vermicelli. Awesome combination. Will repeat for sure👌
I just discovered your channel with this video. Wow! I can’t wait to get recipes from you!
Very nice👍👏
