    I love the idea of making color combos that you've never used to nudge yourself out of a rut!

    The one thing I'm consistently getting our of these HOP videos is building some Color Combo swatches to broaden my thought process when either in a funk or needing to stretch outside my 'normal' mode of inking.

    • @RebeccaKeppel
      @RebeccaKeppel  2 года назад

      YES! I gravitate to the same basic colors and never would have thought of some of those combinations were it not for the color wheel and seeing them swatched out!

    I’m loving the colour wheel, as someone who struggles with colour this is a game changer! The fact that this wheel refers to the actual names of the colours makes it so much easier! ❤️

      100% Agree! I have used a generic color wheel in the past and totally struggled! This one is a breeze!

    I agree, stamping the colour is one thing but blending is very different. Very good suggestion. I am definitely going to blend all my colours out now! Love this stamp and die set. I love doing the organizing and labeling of colours... so fun!!

      Yes! Love to have both stamped and blended!

    Hi Rebecca, I'm guilty of not experimenting with new color combinations very often. I have my favorites and I tend to use them regularly. I can see by how you demonstrated new colors that work together, that I'm missing out on enjoying inks I don't usually reach for. I'll have to carve out some time to up my swatching skills! Thanks for demonstrating the new products to help me get that done!🌷🌷

      Same here! I reach for the same few colors over and over. Plus if something is not staring at me, I forget I have it lol! So this was really helpful to remind me to try out some new color combos!

    I like the idea of doing the swatching to this extent. With the hundreds of inks I have, it would take a loooonnnngggg time. But it sure does seem to be helpful. And will help to mix and match color schemes.

      I definitely do sections at a time.I usually put it off for a while and then once I get going I am surprised how fast it goes! Plus the repetitive nature of it means I can either watch something or listen to something while I am working and it is very relaxing!

    I use a similar CP color wheel except I put both the Party and Spa color wheels back to back in the laminator sleeve. Laminate two of the inner circles. Cut out using my circle dies. Then poke a hole in the center of each piece and use a Brad to hold the circles in place on both sides.

      I never really knew anything about color theory and I owned a color wheel a long time ago but never seemed to use it. But this CP one is brilliant. Great information! Love the idea to swatch complementary, secondary, traids and the ink families. The color wheel is awesome but visually seeing the inks stamped on the paper I use will be very helpful.

      Yes! Love seeing the color combos stamped out especially on paper that you know you are going to use because then you know exactly how they are going to look!

      I tend to gravitate to the same few colors so the CP color wheel and then swatching out the combo was super helpful for me!

      Love this color wheel specifically with their ink names on it! Yes! Having it laminated is great so it won't get dog eared!
