Also Malaysia is the lead nation in ASEAN. Most ASEAN arrangements take place in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok only. Another fact is that Malaysia is the largest Southeast Asian trading partner of Europe's biggest economy, Germany. Malaysia is also the only country in Southeast Asia that has a trade surplus with Germany.
