Amber does feel light weight and plasticky although a tiny bit sticky. It may be amber that you got there, test it under black light and see if it glows an opaque orange color.

The citrine looking necklace that tests as amethyst is its heat treated to look like citrine

To test amber, heat a needle under fire and pierce one of the beads. When it melts and smells like pine, it is amber.

Both pieces in question tested as Amber. I changed batteries in my black light and they both glow. Went further with the heat test today.
No tacky feel though

@@ToniaJernigan-gl7du the tackiness is very faint like it has a slight grip when you run your fingertips on it but it is the hardest test so if the other tests worked, disregard it. I’m so glad you got amber! I was concerned you would discard it as craft by mistake!

24:53 may be amber. Check with UV light. If glow it’s amber.

Both of the necklaces that you think are fake or plastic are actually Amber necklaces. Or at least look like Amber to me.

Scratch everything that looks like gold. India an d some other countries don’t mark their things. I don’t sell jewelry, I am a writer/poet/songwriter, but I broke my back. So I bought some goodwill boxes for fun. I have found 3 18k rings, an emerald rings 2 and 1/2 k, sapphire earrings 5k, a bracelet worth 2750.00 dollars, Tiffany ,Bvugary, James Avery, Dior and many other things.
