You may already know this, but sometimes if a sterling piece has a coating such as rhodium, it won’t test as silver if you don’t get down to the base metal. I learned the hard way because I had several pieces I thought weren’t sterling because they didn’t test as sterling, but then I did a second scratch test getting to the base metal and then they tested as sterling. If you already know this just disregard my comment. Anyway, I enjoyed your video. 🙂

The ring that you say has diamonds, I’m not sure about that, I have the same exact gemstone tester, and if you touch the metal it goes to diamond and beeps loud every time, sometimes it goes to diamonds and then will beep right after I don’t think you held it long enough on the test that didn’t beep. But maybe so, I hope you have some diamonds, but also like you said the metal would be most likely sterling or gold and it doesn’t look like either and it’s not marked gold, it’s a newer ring with that engraving inside so it should be marked. But …..I’m not 100% and I do hope you have a good ring there! 😊 love your videos!
