That was the BEST tutorial I have ever seen for sewing corners. Simple and easy. Every other tutorial I have seen makes it much more complicated and doesn't look nearly as polished. THANK YOU!!
This is how instructional videos should be. Too many instructional videos contain about 3 minutes of actual detail on top of about 27 minutes of needless introduction, narration rambling, and unnecessary filler content. Thank you for getting to the point and not wasting everyone's time.
Haha your very welcome! Glad you found it helpful!
Thank you so much. No flim flam, just a straight forward instruction video that took just a few minutes to watch!
Awesome trick. Quick and easy 👍🏼
This made my day. No BS or product promotion just the info I need. You rock. That's for your commitment not only to sharing knowledge but to the quality of your presentation. Nice work all around. I am 65 and am learning by sewing bags made from sail cloth and bill boards found after hurricane Irma. Sewing is my therapy after the hurricane and this has helped me a lot. Yesterday I tried to copy a sewn shopping bag that is made like a cushion cover with the top panel missing. Not sure what this is called. It came out as expected BUT the corners were a mess. You helped an old guy and he quest for sewing knowledge. Thank you.
Hey John, happy to hear it was so helpful! That sounds like some interesting projects your working on. Hope you weathered the storm just fine.
Hi John .. Im so happy to stumble across this instructional video and your comment.. I have also just begun sewing shopping bags from recycled sail cloth and old sunbrella canvas. ( its also my therapy) Can i ask what machine you use? Im struggling with a small domestic and vintage Brother 803 ( probably from circa 1960? .. Brother Australia have no record of this machine so im guessing its possibly made for the US market?)
Yeah it's really good for making bags
@@paulcapon1139 sorry for the year delay. Here in US am on lockdown with a Necchi BU and a Singer 201. Each has the power to do what I need. A big plus is that I can maintain them myself. I was using Kenmores before the storm took em. The Kenmores are very un appreciated here in the states. You should be able to pick up any of the above for around $100. Sorry again for the delay. I'll be happy when the pros are sewing facemasks again instead of 68 year old guys.
Yay!!! So easy to wrap my mind around. And I guess I'll not be using my serger on this
AWESOME ❤️ Great illustration. Thank you.
You make things so easy as ABC .... GOOD JOB BRO
Thank you! I had watched this before and thought I had it saved. You make it so easy.
OMG... I have been sewing for years, my mother taught me how to sew, but never knew about this simple corner technique! I am getting ready to make some leather throw pillows for my sofa. This is going to help me like you cannot believe! Thank you thank you thank you!

Glad it was so helpful.
Thank you so much. I could not figure out how to make a square corner.
OK, got that. Now, have you done, or would you do, a video on how to overstitch the seam? That would be greatly appreciated and useful. Thanks!
Like everyone else here, I bow to your sharing of the perfect corner we all need so much.

Great video. I am about to replace the vinyl box cushions on 3 boats. This will help.
I've seen lots of ways to do this and this is certainly the most simple.
Thank You hon. I made a pac n play bed, playpen for my 6 inch silicone doll, and didn't know how to do the corners on my net drop down for the upper bed part, and this is easy.
Great advice would also have been to START the seam at the seam allowance distance also.
Thank you so much for this! I literally ruined a whole garment before learning this (was sewing a jacket gusset). I was scared to try again but with this trick now my shirt collar turned out perfect (the shirt has a particular collar design that requires this technique) ✨
Great job!
My machine has a knee lift for the pressure foot. I see you're using the hand lever.
