    thank you! I have a bag of clay (in the plastic bag inside a closed plastic container) that I've been waiting to use for more than 12 months!!! I've only worked in clay in a studio environment during a class and have been intimidated about setting up at home during covid...now! I can see how to move forward (after watching more of your videos). THANKS!

      Can I just bother you with a question? if I worked the clay to create a cup .. and after having dried it well I painted it with flatting, could I avoid baking it in the oven? thank you very much I would be happy to have some advice.

    Can i use dry clay i took from the road near my home? I mean i already use It but after a few days the esculpture crqcked and its dust but now i know i was working It too wet because i loved the texture i could create. I wonder if i could use the blocks of Clay i took from the land, It a little dry, or its a waste of Time ti do It with It AND better to Buy the Clay.

    Hi! This video is amazing! I was wondering do I need a kiln to make mugs or vases or can I just air dry them? And how long would you say it would take if I could? 🦋

      @h.e.1026 4 года назад +1

      You can use air dry, apoxie, polymer, etc., clays for vases but if you want to make something to eat/drink out of you need to use the appropriate clay and fire them in a kiln!

    Hi! I got my take home clay and yesterday I followed this video to make my first pot, but I ended up with thinner walls than you because when I tried to pinch it upward it went broader instead, will it be fine?
    hopefully the next one will be better :) Thanks for the videos!

    • @PotterytothePeople
      @PotterytothePeople  4 года назад

      thin walls are fine as long as it doesn't break! :) Thanks for watching!

    Hi Mia. Thank you for the video!
    Can I make a hole on the bottom of the pot (like a drainage for the plants pot)?

    • @PotterytothePeople
      @PotterytothePeople  4 года назад +2

      Absolutely! I recommend using a drill bit when the clay is leatherhard to get a clean cut.

    What do I do with the extra clay do I throw it or keep it?

    • @awzdeen
      @awzdeen 4 года назад

      You should save it! You could make handles, ornaments, or use the clay with other bigger projects!

    • @PotterytothePeople
      @PotterytothePeople  3 года назад

      If it's wet, just wedge it up and use it for another project (here's how to wedge: ruclips.net/video/UN47HdRDjQU/видео.html). If it's dry, you'll have to reclaim it (ruclips.net/video/0Z3VtyL0F6E/видео.html)
