Thank you for making this! I'm considering riddle (high school sophomore right now) and I literally almost cried because I want this so badly, I've been up in the cockpit once (eaa young eagles program... fellow plane nerds under 18, check it out, they take you up for a test flight for free!) and I have such an itch to get back up there and learn more...hope you're having a great time! looks like you are :)) [Edit: Just noticed the vid is 5 years old... in that case, hope you're out there in the skies somewhere having the time of your life!]
Amazing video man!!! I'm still in high school, and want to get an aviation degree in erau, but am always worried about 2 things: 1. Why is it so costly 2. The aviation degree is useless if you lose your medical Anyway keep up the good flying!
1) For me, studying here is worth the cost because you are receiving the best education you can get. Also, there's always a reason why it's so costly. ERAU has good facilities, planes are always in good condition and this university has a good reputation in aviation, no matter where you go. 2) Anywhere you train, if you lose your medical, that's it. Always have a plan B. For us, we could get an aircraft dispatcher certificate so that if you lose your medical, you could still continue a job in aviation.
TheArabPilot just like what I said earlier, our only back plan here in ERAU as far as I know is we could get aircraft dispatch certificate to still work in the aviation industry. Because anywhere you go if you lose your medical you can never become an airline pilot anymore because to work for the airlines you need a class 1 medical certificate. So don’t lose you medical.
Will D they’re a really easy school to get into, they’re just expensive. What will your major be? I’m an aeronautical science major at the Prescott Campus, this is my freshman year
l l yeah! For sure! I soloed back home before coming to ER last summer.. and still have not had my “first solo” through Riddle yet. I’ve been flipped through multiple instructors (due to a personal issue, one of them left, and then Corona kicked us out for a while. Other than that, the flight department is really nice and super professional! I’m here flying over summer and there’s almost nobody, so I get to fly more often!
The Busy Bee How is it? I think I’m taking calculus my first semester, I tested on the ALEKS and got an 83, It said calc recommended, I’m taking 8 classes I believe, FA121, MA112, AS121, FA95S, AS195J (virtual reality private pilot lab), AF101, (US military forces), and finally AF101L (Leadership Lab) do you think that is too much? I’ve had 3 years of JC experience already and 70 units, I hope I can do it I’m nervous!
Waiting for my decision. It says "Aviation Undergrad" on my application, Comp Eval, and SSN verification, etc. Convinced I'm in, but can't truly believe that yet. Anybody know anything?
I see a lot of these riddle life of a student pilot videos and these videos are nice but for once i like to here the pilot's point of view instead of just a music video.
Im a Junior, and I really want to be in this college. Sadly, my grades are only B's :( idk for sat bc haven't taken yet. I hope I go into this college.
@@captainthez6532 Congrats! I was also accepted to this university, but owing to my colorblind impairment, I had to modify my degree before committing to this school. Yes, I know I could be bypassed with a doctor's letter or still become a pilot, but my major dream aim was to one day become an airline pilot, but there's no chance I'll become one, and no, if you're wondering, I'm not interested in becoming other pilots, so I had to alter. Congratulations once more on your admittance at Embry Riddle.
Hey, I just got my acceptance! I had some pretty rough grades but I really turned things around. I highly recommend you visit their campus and maybe do some summer camps. It is expensive but really made me work harder to increase my grades. I am sure you can get in. Good luck
hey chance, I'm also a freshman in high school who also wants to go to Embry-Riddle. Right now try and bump your grades up, but for now you can still turn things around with Sophomore and maybe Junior year. Senior year is when it gets hard to move your GPA up, but also remember that Embry also requires a good SAT score so keep that in mind. Hope that helps?
chance delrosario I just got accepted, my gpa was a little too low so they put me in Human Factors Psychology, my counselor said that after I complete my freshmen year there I can switch to Aerospace engineering which is nice.
Hey joshua what is better between a bachelor degree in sciences of aviation and a bachelor in aeronautical engeneering What is thé berger chou ce for a future pilot And at ERAU either the undergruadate diploma they give you a ppl, cpl or ATPL . Thanks you
Great video! Are you another filipino pilot in the US? It is great to see fellow filipinos doing big things! If you have any questions about anything in aviation I am here to help a fellow Eagle out
I want to pursue mba in Aviation from embry riddle University , I wanna know how is placement in embry riddle , does everyone get placement offer by comapny ?
I've already made my money and retired, but I am thinking of just doing this for fun since I've got nothing else to do. I just wonder if they're willing to accept 46yo into the program.
Was accepted, but declined to attend. Cost is very high ($45,000/yr + flight) as opposed to North Dakota. I'll probably attend UND next year. I already obtained my private 141, and I'm still debating even going for a 4yr degree.
go for a 4yr degree. What I am doing is, getting a bachelors in nursing as a back up job. Plus it helps me get extra income when I work in the regionals.
truck driver or construction workers or fishermen or chef!!! i cant work a white collar job since i cant finish college. even specialist earn more than your blue collar workers even those who have several odd jobs!!!!!
Funny how I commented on this video 4 years ago. Now I'm also an Embry Riddle flight student who just completed my instrument training.
do you need to rent the school aircraft or are they always available to you?
Would you recommend Embry Riddle? I'm trying to decide if I want to do an accelerated Part 61 course like ATP or a school like Embry Riddle.
Such a beautiful campus can't wait to go on a visit.

that's facts

It's overpriced. I'll be getting the same ratings with half the cost.
Just join the military to get your flight hours

I like it it is a joy for me to be able to become a pilot and aircraft engineer
I love these videos and im looking into applying for Embry
