Superb tutorial! 👍🏻 So glad you're using the continental knitting method, most tutorials on RUclips don't so for me, as a continental knitter, I have a hard time following along but this was great! 😀
FINALLY! I got it. I like the way you do the knit stitch. I can kerp track much better. I spent hours watching videos and trying different techniques. You jived with my brain!
I'm so glad this was helpful for you and thank you for your encouragement. I will always try my best to find the time to make videos when its possible x
I am determined to learn brioche by hand, as I am a machine knitter and this stitch is very easy on the machine. Some of the brioche flowing designs you can't do on the machine, thus my learning hand brioche. Thanks so much for your clear explanation of a cast on I was having a hard time with. Love the 2 setup rows.
Thank you so much for this. I tried other videos and just couldn't get the hang of it, then I found yours and have picked it up just fine. The two rows after really make it work and no one else explained that.
Thank you for making this video - I learned something new. I would suggest a a couple of changes to help people like me. It was somewhat choppy at the beginning and stopping and starting in the middle of the stitches is not helpful. Just do the whole stitch slowly and repeat the whole action in 1 motionThen when I think I got it you show us how it will look at full speed - I found you were casting in a bit too fast and it messed me up - I would cut that part out or just keep it going slowly but steadily. The rest was easy to follow and I appreciate Instructing is not easy (neither is explaining).
Using three times as long is a safe amount that means you’ll never run out. The actual amount you’ll use would depend on the stitch size and the yarn weight … if you’re tail left is annoyingly long just trim it to 6-8 inches one you are totally done with the cast on. Hope that helps 😊
Hi - This is a technique which I love, but which I have only ever used for a 1x1 rib. I know of this video (vimeo.com/64207243) which shows how for a 2x2 rib you can make this SAME cast on (worked as I show) and then convert into a 2x2 rib. I have never tried it so I cannot comment further on that, but I hope it works well if you try it out - let me know! :-). As for joining in the round, once the cast on is worked and the setup rows complete, then you just join in the round as you normally would.
You start out great but I suggest you write out exactly what you want to say. You apologize and redo and that is confusing to watch. Trying to learn so not explaining smoothly sends me to a different site. Sorry.

You're very welcome. M. x
I left a tail 3 times as long as my stitches and at the end of the cast on the tail was too long. Is that normal? Someone please help me

@@KingfisherKnits thank you so much for replying!!!! You’re awesome and thank you for this video 🥰🥰🥰🥰
What if I need to cast on an odd number of stitches? I would end my cast on row with a knit not a purl. How would the foundation rows work?
Just look at how the purl and knit sts present itself
what is the name of the yarn?please let me know. thank you very much
It is Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine 85 in the 236 colour. M. x

Kingfisher Knits Thank you for reply, have a nice day.
Very nice instruktion video. But, i would like to wish that you just do the moovements ones, no alternative ones. It would be much easier to learn.
Not italian cast on but thanks
Helpful but lots of mistakes which makes it hard to follow
It is confuse!
