Going to any event at Maple Leaf Gardens was so exciting not because of the event ( although they were all great) but because I was going to MAPLE LEAF GARDENS!!!
Hate to see history being tore down like this. In association football also many iconic places are just a memory in modern time: Highbury, Vicente Calderon, Råsunda.. It's incredibly sad :(

They practice there from time to time and the PWHL plays their home games there.

That's so fucking stupid. They demolished everything but the exterior walls and roof. There is nothing of the original interior. What a waste.
The thing about that is that it was a heritage site so they could only tear down the interior and not the exterior.
They should have moved the Hockey Hall of Fame into MLG and created a world class museum for the sport. Instead, they wrecked it. Beyond disgusting.
