Thank You!! It's definitely not an easy decision as RUclips favors longer duration, and it's hard sometimes to leave out all the beautiful shots that didn't make the edit 😅 But I do believe that my audience's time is to be respected and to deliver as much value as possible
I 100% agree!! I HATE when the person on the video tells you his/her life story, the fifty reasons why they made this video, bla bla bla. I'm like JUST TELL ME THE INFORMATION!!!! You get right to the point and that's awesome!!!
This is how I was brought up by my Gran she was amazing its only now I realized she was a minimalist..7 off us children all together and she had time for each and eveyone off us .. Blessings lovely footage 🌻
Started decluttering and am still decluttering, I realised putting things back to where they belong before I sleep is crucial. While I have been following most tips, I missed out on putting cables back, so thanks for the suggestion!
This is what I do every single day to keep my home clean and organized also. My drawers and cupboards look like yours. It's hard when you live with people that don't respect or understand the benefits of clean and clutter free living. Your home is inviting and seems very peaceful to me. I hope the people that you live with respect all of the work you do to keep your home that way and they help you keep things clean and organized. :)
The BEST clutter-free cleaning tip I ever heard was “Never leave a room with empty hands!” Things migrate from one room to another so easily, and if you never leave a room empty handed, then you will naturally clean and declutter as you walk around your house. This tip goes hand in hand with my *second favorite* tip, the “30 Second Rule.” Basically, if a task or chore could be done in 30 seconds, NEVER put t off until later! Do it immediately! This makes a world of difference for clutter. Now you will never have pens lying around your desk, or empty toilet paper rolls left on the hanger! Third, a bit of life advice that sticks in my head constantly is, “The work is not done well, until it has been cleaned up.” This is a critical one for artists like me that are always doing messy projects that require tons of materials. When I first heard this tip it rubbed me the wrong way! But it stuck in my head, and in the end, the thought of cleaning up being PART of my job well done for a project is a HUGE motivator. Finally, a personal tip. A clean house *starts* with clean closets. If your closets are unorganized and bursting at the seems, then the rest of your house stands zero chance. Everything needs its place, and the closets are critical storage points that must be well managed. I hope these tips and advice help you as much as they help me! 💖
This guy makes sense. Very straightforward video but very relevant. I can totally relate. Every thing in my house has its own designated space. By doing that, your hubby and kids won't ask you where they are coz they already know. 🙂
Recently I learned to fold the throw blanket into a pillow, now it has multiple purpose and become another decorative piece on the couch haha...love all the tips and your house looks amazing
@@mtracy244 You can check out @lenniamc on TikTok, she has several videos on folding blankets of various size into pillow :) I tried to post the link but YT removed my comment haha
@@rubiirae That’s a great idea! You mean a cushion, not a pillow I think. Usually I put throws over the arms of the sofa but it can start looking very messy.
@@rockloffel8233 Yes, three at 2, 4 and 7 years old. I know very well what it is about - a good distribution of time between work, household and family time. Good habits work for both - singles and families😉 If there is a desire, there is time - everything else is an excuse 😉Happy Monday 🎈
I used to be far more disorganized, but now I pay attention to my feelings in a room. I can't sit down and drink my coffee if I see something out of place, it just feels ucky, and it's so easy just to jump up and set it straight. It's definitely hard when living with a messy partner. When I get home I feel like I do archeology of what he did that day. (Drank tea, hence the mug and the matches. Rolled a cigarette, hence the tobaco everywhere.) But on the plus side, he doesn't mind when I organize all of his stuff, even his bedside drawers!
@@SofiaZadurian Second you on that. Teach these habits to kids young, they get it. Endlessly grateful to my parents for building these skills into me from a very young age.
I apply the tip: "Never leave a room empty-handed". It turned out to actually help me reduce the clutter left behid: no more "Oh, I'll collect that tray later" or "I'll leave it here just for a sec" collections of dirty mugs or piles of clothes on a chair. Your videos never fail to make me instantly want to clean and therefore shouldn't be watched after 10 p.m. 😉
Also remember to dust the whole house at least once a month. Including ledges, behind and under the tables, couches, beds etc. That is something that always gets neglected and dust accumulates over time (depends on where you live). Where I live, I have to segregate the garbage. Wet, dry, glass, plastic etc etc. Organic Garbage has to be cleaned much more often than the others, and it should be. It decays quickly, and will start to smell.
I agree with everything except washing every single mug straight away. For me it is much easier to do the dishes all at once. In that way I avoid getting my hands and the sink wet. But I think that people can treat this thing differently. If you feel calmer when you don't have anything dirty in the sink: go ahead, why not. For me it is easier to put a cup in the sink just after I've used it, but washing them later together.
heeeeyy we have the same hamper that's so cool hahah i love your relaxing video! i've bought a new desk, a rack and mini organizers and trying to tidy up my room, it's been fun i never thought i would!
