EA needs to do an official remake of this. So many memories. My first online FPS.
It's my dream for years. I remember that EA had plans to make something like that - C&C Tiberium. It would be FPS in the world of C&C3, probably with 3 playable fractions. Community was dissatisfied when game was cancelled but EA had other plans and other series with better financial results...
And Renegade is my first online FPS too. I'm laggin' since 2003 ;)
Back in those days I never knew what ping meant so I always joined server with highest number I could. Doh. So that was probably my fault.
Renegade-X is a good remake
Yeah, unfortunately it is still in beta version :/ It doesn't work properly on my PC so I prefer old Renegade.

Hi, please look at comments. Many people asked the same question. If you have game you need tt-scripts.
The flame tank isn't a Devils Tongue though :/ It's just called a Flame tank. The Devil's Tongue is a subterrain flame tank
I agree, I don't know why, MPF team named this normal flamer as devil's tongue. DT was rectangular shape subterranean from Tiberian Sun.
How can I play Multiplayer ? Can you tell this
You can download Interim Apex Official. It works on any PC without CD or crack. Now I play IAO like many people. It's a little upgraded Renegade server with some corrected bugs and improved graphics. I have new laptop without CD ROM drive so I can't install my old Renegade version.

Yes, everyday there are about 20 - 40 players on all servers at evenings and about 60 - 80 at weekends!
I wish RenCorner had more than MPF at night

I don't like many things about MPF. They made throwing equipment slow and so they go farther. The IK maps are stupid. IK or Imperial Kaskins is the name of the map maker. There are older new maps on there as well. I prefer RenCorner.
I partly agree. A lot of new maps are too big, they would be great for no less than 30 players. But today, they are so empty for most time. However there are some interesting vehicles and infantry and some nice hidden passages. In my opinion size of these maps are main problem, some maps look like for 100 players :/
IK maps are the best. rencorner is boring af
I prefere RenCorner too, but there is nobody :(

Renegade X can be free downloaded now. You don't need Unreal Tournament 3.

Unreal Tournament is a game on which engine Ren X is based. In early version of Ren X it was needed. Not now. You just need to download Renegade X from their webpage.

How do u manage to get on? I used gamespy back in the day but that died.
I think that you can use tt-scripts or renlist. I don't know exactly because I've installed my game a few years ago and I don't remember. But if you would find your CDs it will be easy to join game.
