    This is terrific...i also saw them on this same tour a couple weeks later (Aug 2) at the Anti Club in LA. Tiny venue with about a foot high stage. Not a problem to stand right there in front.

    Oh wow! Thanks for this! Best quality recording I have heard of their earlier gigs. I love Dreamtime ❤ so much energy and a great live band by the sound of it! I have yet to see them live (have loved them for over 30 years)

      I seen them live in 2006 and was disappointed. Their early recordings such as this are gold 🙌

    Thank you so much for sharing your collections of work on The Cult. They are very rare here in Brazil and around here we have a lot of fans avid for the band's material. :)

      @@GreenGerg His work of preservation and dissemination of The Cult's history, I try with the photos, as well as the video, are very important for us, fans in Brazil. Around here, material from their first performance in the US is very rare. Thanxs, one more time

    A week after this tour Ian referenced it 1:25 into this interview, and again at 14:50. Thanks Greg for taking pics that night too. I found them useful here. ruclips.net/video/6ishAlG7ZAY/видео.html

    Greg, where did you find this bootleg? I think this is the Cult's first performance in the US

    • @GreenGerg
      @GreenGerg  3 года назад +7

      Yes, this was their very first US show. I did not find it, I taped it myself as I was one of the dozen or so people in attendance 😎

      @@GreenGerg that is fantastic! I have witnessed very early shows with a few bands that became iconic with few in attendance but this one is fantastic and historic. Did you record every show? or was this just one you wanted?

      @@cbrannon74 I recorded many of the concerts I attended from 1984 through the 90s. If you browse my channel here you;ll find a lot of them. Still digitizing more from my collection

      @@GreenGerg I think the Cult themselves might be interested in hearing that one. Bands come and go even after crossing the sea.......im not so sure they thought they were going to be what they became

      @@GreenGerg What made you think to record it? Very few people thought about recording anything back then.
