do you also test/analyze urine samples? what other things do you test as an mlt? what would you say is the easiest/difficult? I just found your channel and I love it!

Yes, I am a 12 year experienced lab tech from Canada. The patients demographics should have not been show on this video due to patient privacy laws ;)

Hello! I’ve been watching your videos on MLT stuff, I was just curious, weird question but would you say it’s a loud work environment in a lab?
Also when you talk about main labs vs where you draw blood and label, do techs do both or do mlts strictly work in the main labs while the phlebotomists draw and mark blood viles? I suppose I’m a bit confused.

This is a very small part of what is expected. More like TLA stuff. Hospital work is way more intense:Balancing this in between Diffs, gram stains, phone calls, analyzer issues, stat blood bank, other more complicated sendouts, stacked up urines of 20 or more,calling critical etc...This video is an easy 5 min out of an 8hr day. Real pay comes with the real work. Show a medium sized lab. If this is a clinic, show the volume of blood draws etc...
You are really suppose to poor urine behind the plastic shield- it was sitting behind-you aren’t following protocol! That’s what the shield is for so it doesn’t splatter anywhere or on you!

Great video, I'm a medical laboratory technician in Nigeria, I wish to practice in other countries UAE and eruopian countries, anyone at all, but they limit us Nigerian from practicing there. I wish I can get a help some Days.
Dont be late for placement, or at least show some hurry about it. Hopefully you called and said you would be late. Also patient names on tubes is a great way to lose the license before you even get it, huge privacy violation
