I've hung out with the whole band, and they're a great crew to chill with. I also hung out with Mike McColgan's Street Dogs, and they're a lot of fun too.
I was at Wal-mart of all places today. They played the Tom Jones version. I forgot how fake it sounds. I saw Flogging Molly around 2000 or so before Swagger came out in a little defunct club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They were one of the opening bands for Anti-Flag.(back when they weren't as annoying. Around New kind of army days) First I ever heard of Flogging Molly. To me, they were better then all the other bands. Quite the energy. Played this song with quite the interactive audience. I remember a Pogues cover, also. While in line, Dave and another band member went by the line. There was a Guinness neon in a bar next door that wasn't open. He cursed about "A Guinness sign and not even open." Best intro to them. Guinness is my favorite drink. The cover is better then Tom Jones version.
Like many of you, I like Flogging Molly more than I like Dropkick Murphy but you shouldn't say that one is better than the other. They are 2 great bands and all the musicians are fine people that really care about their fans. They're not competing no one is "better" they're just different bands and styles.
wow, i went to the 2000 warped tour, This was my favorite song I heard. Nobody knew who these guys were at the time, that's why the crowd sucks so bad.
I think we can all agree that George Schwindt was Flogging Molly's best drummer. Mike Alonso is good, but he doesn't have the same energy and spirit that George had (I mean, George was there from the beginning).
I'll take this crowd over the rowdy kids at The Norva shows anytime. I've been a fan of the band since before I shot this show, but I'm not wading through a thousand 14 year old boys to go to a show anymore. I'm hoping they'll move to a bigger venue than the Norva and they should bring Gogol Bordello with them.
Well hell then, you must be like 15 now....Since you're a young'un, be sure to check out The Pogues, they were the original band that Flogging Molly is mostly modeled after. Their early stuff is legend.
awesome!!! saw them live @ lowlands, holland!!!!! best performance that year, even better than dropkick!!
Thanks for posting! I'm glad I was a fan back in the day, I saw them perform this song like many times. I wish they would again
UNique sound, great energy, great lyrics, great image, the hole package!!!! Love 'em , by the way I love the girl too,

Last song (the mexican one) is from "A Fistful of Dollars". OST by Ennio Morricone.

@IDBTitanosaurus Sounds like something from the soundtrack of The Good The Bad and The Ugly...some sort of spaghetti western music......
Came here for a Tom Jones cover; I left satisfied.
