Here's the problem - IF I were to open source the process, conversions and modifications then the DIY people will come out fo the woodwork and start trying this at home. That IS NOT a liability I wish to risk. Hydrogen is as safe as the way you hndle it. BUT - if handled carelessly even out of ignorance the results can be harmful.
interesting stuff Karl. I heat my home with radiant floor heat using a 100,000 btu high efficiency Polaris LPG hot water heater. It does a great job capturing the heat which enables the heater to exhaust up through the house in a PVC pipe.. I have often thought about converting the heater to run on Hydrogen. I understand that the dynamics of burning Hydrogen have their own requirements and look forward to hearing more. Are you going a proprietary route ( producing a H2 orifices or burner perhaps)or will you share your findings and modifications here on the channel? I am investigating H2 production, and trying to build a solar cell using Graphitic Carbon Nitride which will split water using only sunlight and perhaps afford simple home energy free production of H2... . Then we can all use modified appliances and cut the cord!... I searched your company and was very impressed.
This video is an absolute proof hydrogen can easily and safely be used for home appliances without all the risks and danger anti-hydrogen people make claims against. It is not intended to be marketing piece for any products seen in this video. BUT - the interface between device and hydrogen feed that makes all this possible is one I may market in the future.
Unfortunately I cannot reveal that conversion here. I cannot accept the liability risk for someone that is either careless and cant follow instructions or reckless and doesn't care and then creates a disaster.
The exhaust of burning hydrogen produces oxygen that mixed with hydrogen. Water vapor and oxygen is what is left. My exhaust from my 5kw generator, you can breath. When you produce hydrogen in a single cell, you get this mixture. A dual cell will separate the oxygen from hydrogen. I have run my generator for 2 yrs now with no problem. I use saltwater from the Gulf of Mexico, the same as the US Navy does with their hydrogen cells that run their generators on there vessels. It just took time to figure out how big a cell is needed for the size of a generator.
How many inches of water column do you recommend, and what size orifice are you using in the tiger torch, or the construction heater? I know NG likes 7 inches, sometimes 3.5, and propane is usually 11 inches of WC. I've just found your channel, and will be looking at more of your vids. HHO is a new source of energy for me, but I have worked with propane and natural gas for many years both in the gas fields, and as a commercial gas fitter. I'm retired now and have time for projects. Looks like fun.
Unfortunately - as many have asked - how did I do this. I cannot reveal this publicly as it can lead to a liability I will not take the risk of exposure. This video is to prove hydrogen is a safe fuel IF handled correctly AND the appliances are prepared properly. IF NOT - you'll have a potential catastrophe in experimentation. I have been working with hydrogen for over 15 years now. .
Did you make your own hydrogen? If so how did you filter out the Oxygen molecules so it can be safely compressed? So many questions but so little content.
Are you going to show how to modify appliances to run on hydrogen, how about a central heating unit/furnace? Thanks, I'm glad I found you if you are going to show what I'm interested in.

Hi there Karl, excellent work especially with your latest research into Hythanol. Would you mind explaining what tank you use to store your hydrogen gas? I was under the impression that steel cylinders, especially propane tanks are vulnerable to embrittlement.
Hi.I really liked the video. Please tell us how you get hydrogen (methods)?Have you experimented with propane and hydrogen, how do they burn together? Thanks

I'm going to agree and disagree with your hydrogen leak question. Hydrogen molecules are so small that they do in fact leak out of everything, just like Helium. However, the leak rate is so small that is is virtually indetectable. The rough estimate amount would equal the volume of a spray paint can lid over a full year. (I used to work for a company that rebuilt gas cabinets for the semiconductor industry. We performed leak tests using Helium on all our finished cabinets, so I am well versed in this area). So, I disagree that Hydrogen doesn't leak, but I agree it's really a non issue due to the very very small "leak rate", that your soapy water solution would never detect.
I have been working with hydrogen for 15 year. I also work with high compressed hydrogen. Hydrogen DOES NOT leak out of everything. Neither does helium. Its easier for both gases to leak with improper or loose fittings. Here is a direct quote from H2 Tools. "Because gaseous hydrogen consists of such a small molecule, very small leaks are common. In properly designed systems these very small leaks do not present a problem as the tiny amount of hydrogen released will not be enough to cause a flammable mixture in air. Only when hydrogen gas can accumulate over time in a confined area will a risk of a flammable mixture or asphyxiation arise" In 15 years I have had hundreds of high compressed bottles of hydrogen - 2500 psi. They do not leak as per the definition of leaking. AND I have never had a catastrophic event or rupture.
A demonstration of what the process is for conversion to run on Hydrogen would be much appreciated Karl.

Could you possibly explain how you converted these to hydrogen? I am interested in a catalytic hydrogen stove for cooking.

Very cool, most of the fear about hydrogen is from the hindenburg incident. Oh the humanity 😮
Yes - that stigma set us back 50 years.
And yet it was the skin of the dirigible that burned the worst.

In this video this is commercially licensed purchase. I do make my own.
you would need a hydrogen seperator cell

How do I purchase the stove
what are the best tanks to store hydrogen?
I was hoping to see the modifications to the appliances. Do you have a video showing please?

Hydrogen is my passion ran my motorized bicycle with a 49cc engine with HHO gas made on board!!
HHO is not Hydrogen. It's a mixed gas. 100% hydrogen in an ICE acts differently.
According to the American Hydrogen Association, a burger cooked on a Hydrogen fired grill is known as a "Hindenburger" :)
I cant remember where i read it, but some country is blending it to natural gas supply. Not sure of amount either. Is that safe?
England is blending, and the US is blending. It is perfectly safe.
Make a video on how to convert appliances to hydrogen, is it just the hole size?
Hydrogen stored in metal container? Leaks is not on the joins, it leaks through meal, like water through fabric!
How you produce hydrogen?
guess there's nothing to see here
