I survived both nights of San Jose's Miku Expo shows!!! :3 Oh crimony, the first night felt incredibly discombobulated and VERY poorly managed, not as much as night 2. Many people in Crunchyroll are bound to lose their jobs pronto over this one, ffs. We poor sods had a hit&run incident occur right outside our humble little venue on night 2 which nearly took out the GA admission line with bumper debris flung like a huge freaking death frisbee. The car's entire front end disintegrated at top speed in a cloud of smoke and crunching metallic squealing rage... aaaand we're okay. Crazy!!!! Night 1 boasted a massive scattering of confusion concerning merchandise lines relocated to the other end of the building where the entry lines were assembled, instead of set up internally. Maybe Crunchyroll hired Tshurt to help just to cut a quick buck or two? Anyway, the line wound up streaming through a very small theater workspace with active buzz-saws being used... then we had to be relocated in a very sloppy fashion around a bunch of random vehicles to attempt to recreate the line again, abiding in the good will of our fellow concertgoers not to cut freely in the process. I can't speak for VIP issues with not getting what they paid for properly but speaking freely and personally, I shelled out almost $1k for everything: between tickets (roughly 2/3rds of the total trip expense!), gas for a long trip there and back, lodging between both show days, merchandise (those freaking glow stick shortages...) and a couple random parking fees, I may have reached a new spending record! I'd driven 3 hours to attend the Bay Area for my very first Hatsune Miku concert with no idea of what to expect only that I'd get to see awesome songs performed live. I've seen lots of different live spectacles, attended a literal boob-ton of concerts aaaand my friends, the Miku Expo 2024 experience in San Jose, CA on night 1 was something to remember, buddy. 😂😢😂😂😢😢😢😢😂😂😢😂 At least night 2 didn't feel quite as chaotic with assembling lines for VIP and GA, I think... for the second time, barricades were set up near the street at least since a couple city blocks were ensnared by lines of GA fans, all concert-goers and cosplayers and intriguing people young and old who all share a common affection for Miku and her gang. ❤ When the lines went awry on night one, the security and staff alike just shrugged and said "It is what it is!" I'd never seen anything like it before... and in regards to those directly responsible, I pray tell that I may never have to witness another sordid overly-charged fiasco like that again. I won't say my chances of attending another Miku Expo are spoiled but I'll be sure to keep a closer eye out on who's producing the next major Vocaloid event, should another return to my general area!! I hope this ugliness gets resolved in an orderly fashion before the other expos commence, otherwise Crunchyroll HQ is in really deep sheeeeoit without a paddle to row free if these issues occur at EVERY SHOW. 😢 And for those who just genuinely had fun regardless of the issues, KUDOS!🎉

Oh crimony, the first night felt incredibly discombobulated and VERY poorly managed, not as much as night 2. 😂😢😂😂😢😢😢😢😂😂😢😂
At least night 2 didn't feel quite as chaotic with assembling lines for VIP and GA, I think... for the second time, barricades were set up near the street at least since a couple city blocks were ensnared by lines of GA fans, all concert-goers and cosplayers and intriguing people young and old who all share a common affection for Miku and her gang. ❤
When the lines went awry on night one, the security and staff alike just shrugged and said "It is what it is!"
I'd never seen anything like it before... and in regards to those directly responsible, I pray tell that I may never have to witness another sordid overly-charged fiasco like that again.
And for those who just genuinely had fun regardless of the issues, KUDOS!🎉
I was about to think people are overreacting again and then I saw the videos. Wtf is that??? Watching those 'hologram ready' videos on youtube is better than this tbh.
