Aw, Fujii Kaze just had a free online concert on YT just a few hours ago! Just him playing the piano and singing in the rain in the middle of a stadium. It was transcendent.
I am a fan of fujii kaze… he started doing covers before when he was younger…i was supposed to watch his one man concert last year but because of corona.. it didn’t happen.. 😢😢😢 you might want to listen to his other songs like kaerou, mo-eh-wa, yasashisa and seishun sick… his full length album is great…you wont be pressing skip when you listen to any of the songs. 🙂
YOU KNOW WHAT??? I remember that there is a live version of Tomoya (OOK's drummer) playing their song Taking Off, the camera is right behind him, you should check it out (i'll leave the link below)

my most favorite japanese artists - Kenshi Yonezu (he is a genius), Official higedandism, Aimyon (Marigold is my life theme song lol), Reol, LiSA, One OK rock, Yoasobi, Ado, King Gnu.
Gosh, Taka’s parents are both singers you know so that’s why he has such a good voice. Oh wait, you really have to listen to My First Story too 💋 the vocal of this band is Taka’s brother
@@krisangei6163 Oh i think you have some mistakes cuz Taka’s parents are Shinichi Mori and Masako Mori (you can search for them), who used to be famous in their singing career in the past. And it’s true that they didn’t want he entered the entertainment world cuz at that time, Taka still in secondary school and they knew how hard it would take. But in the end, they still let him took singing lesson haha
I have seen OOR live in Australia and it doesn’t matter the size of the stage, venue or crowd, they still put this much effort into every single concert. Not to mention the effort they put into writing their music, a lot of their songs have both Japanese & English versions. They write in English first and then they translate to Japanese. They are my no.1 favourite because it’s obvious how much they love their fan base & their passion is honestly second to none!
No! One! Is! Talking! About! Fujii! Kaze! okay, the video at his part kept getting cut, but he's AMAZING and he is one of those very few artists where you could absolutely feel his passion, I guarantee that if you show a normal pianist clips of Kaze playing his piano in his OWN way, they're gonna freak out. He's a god damn explosion. His uniqueness and range is amazing because he listens to a variety of music and because he's so skilled and familiar with the piano that literally every musician in Japan adores him. Please check him out!
The only official live video of King Gnu is 三文小説(Sanmon-syousetsu). The vocal is using a bit different technique of singing (I assume, not having musical knowledge),but his vocal is brilliant even in the live performance. Please check out if you can.
One ok rock have been my favorite artists to see live. I try to attended each time they come to my city, I haven't seen another artist who puts on a show like them.
Yes, back in the day before Kpop was popular, it was all about Anime, Jpop, Jrock and just Japan in general. Jpop was actually the reason I got into Kpop. I listened to the Japanese version of TVXQ's Rising Sun and that was my gateway into Kpop. Initially, I actually thought TVXQ was a Japanese group. Turned out they were Korean. They were so big back then too.
Haha same, got into BoA because I was listening to a lot of Ayumi Hamasaki and Utada Hikaru, and TRAX because they were linked to X Japan. Legit thought they were Japanese. Then I got into DBSK because they featured both BoA and TRAX. All downhill into K-pop from there.
Kaze Fujii is an amazing piano player! He has been showing his piano technique on RUclips since he was teenager. You should check his own channel and go over from the oldest.
I almost watched all ONE OK ROCK's concert DVD. I think the only left are their "Mighty Long Fall" concert in 2014, Jinsei X BoKu tour in 2012 (?) and their Budokan concert way back 2010. If you will watched their concerts, you may think it is kind of cult. The way the crowd was like one of the members of the band and just singing with Taka in the right moment is really astonishing to watch even in just your gadgets. You will also feel like you are in that concert because of how great their concerts are. One Ok Rock being great in live performances and Taka being a great live vocalists and great in commanding the crowd made this band so popular. Their concert is really one of the thing that I really wish I can attend before I die. Also, mostly their songs are more on anthem-like that made the crowd sing along with the band and they also have a lot of songs that empowering and inspirational. That is why I can't stop loving this band after I heard their song Heartache in the ending credits of Rurouni Kenshin: Legend Ends movie. Fun Fact: Taka (vocalist) was sick in this concert. That is why they have to delayed the concert for hour. Also, Taka was once listed #17 (if I remember it correctly) as one of the best rock vocalist way back 2016 or 2018. Mostly Japanese rock bands already have a song that made for anime's but One Ok Rock don't have except for the movie franchise of Rurouni Kenshin which they sang all the OST of the 5 movies. The first song you react to them is one of the OST.
Mighty Long Fall is one of my favorites and Budokan is also great, while Jinsei x Boku contains most of my favorite songs. OOR really doesnt miss! I can never get tired of watching their live tours in Japan. The crowd and the vibe is something else
@@shinryouzen Orchesta Japan tour is my favorite concert of them. Ambitions is also one of a chance experience, esp. the Nagisaen special. But my favorite songs have been in their Niche syndrome and Kanjo effect album, and they've perform most of them in JinseiXboku tour and Budokan. Their concert is really something. I even illegaly download their concerts. Lol. cuz you will have a hard time finding the DVD's of it.Plus the fact that it is quite pricey. And the one that got tortured was my phone memory. The file was so big. I will watch it if I already have time.
Me *eating sushi and watching this* : is this Universe telling me to listen to “One Ok Rock”?? Waleska and Efra as always making me discover new songs regardless of what language it is. To be honest I did saw this band on Ed Sheran’s IG but didn’t pay much attention but now I’m definitely gonna check them out and add it to my Spotify playlist.
Let me help you, here are my recommendations of One Ok Rock's songs : - "C.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h." - "Clock Strikes" - "Deeper Deeper" - "Yes I am" - "Cry out" - "Living Dolls" - "Ketsuraku Automation" (this one isn't available on Spotify, you can check this on RUclips)
One Ok ROck's live concerts are really different. Taka is a very amazing vocalist, the emotions, the hype, the energy, they can spread it to you with their music. You should really check more of their music and live concert videos. THEY. ARE. MASTERPIECE.
King Gnu’s song 白日 (hakujitsu) means broad daylight. If you like Dry Flower, you should check out the song before it called kakurenbo, which means hide and seek. The two songs are a connected story and dry flower is the sequel. I would also recommend Aimer. I am happy to see that Japanese music is being featured. I have always been a fan. They have such unique voices and their songs are so down to earth and relatable.
Japanese hip-hop and rnb are really big in early 2000s. They have so many divas, rap artists, groups that are heavily inspired by black culture. But today only rnb remains really big in the mainstream media, idk why but j hip-hop is only popular in the underground scene rn. I think they slowly being mainstream again tho. But I really rarely seen any j hip-hop artists in j music charts unless they are the big names from the early 2000s. The first take only have a few hip-hop and rnb artists, if u want to check them out - Shota Shimizu - Hentai Shinshi club - SKY-HI - Creepy nuts ( and Umeda cypher) - Def tech (they're more like hawaiian reggae) - Miliyah Kato - Rude-a - EXILE Takahiro and Ryuto Kazuhara from Generations (they're from a pop group, but their song is more rnb I guess)
Thanks for having japanese music a feature friday on your channel..Although im here to watch for One Ok Rock reaction..Im glad you both like there music..
OMG 😭😭😭 tq so much for this...I'm literally crying WTH 🤧🤣 I'm in love with Japanese music ❤️ please react to Radwimps, they're also an amazing band! Yuuri is amazing too.. there's also a FIRST TAKE version of his song Dry Flower and it's mind blowing and please react to his other song Kakurenbo on THE FIRST TAKE too Also I don't like rock but when it's Japanese rock or anything related to anime, I just can't help falling in love with it 😂 Much love from Manipur, India ❤️🇮🇳
Fun fact: Taka was once a member of an idol group from Japan's entertainment giant Johnny's Ent., but then he left before the group (NEWS, which turned to be one of the biggest Jpop idol groups) even releases any songs because he felt he's just not cut for it. AND HE WAS RIGHT. He did the right thing by being in One Ok Rock. Also, someone commented here that Jpop paved the way for Kpop, and I think so too because even the first generation Kpop idols are fans of Arashi (the biggest Japanese idol group ever). I was a huge Jpop fan long before I knew Kpop and finally turned into an ARMY lol.
This is actually Taka's dark past (fandom joke). He hates taking about his idol background actually 😂😂 plus Toru (guitar) and Ryota (bass) were actually childhood friends who started as hiphop dancers 🤣 videos of them break dancing as middle schoolers are still around the internet, if anyone wants to check that out. 😝
YASS I LIVE FOR THIS. As much as i love kpop, jpop is just one step further. There are sooo many genres, so many songs that worth to listen to. Please do more of japanese special!!
Thank you so much for this! Ofc we want another j-music podcast. I dont know anything about music, but I can say that japanese music is extremely diverse. Thant's why I always tell people j-music is really fun to dive into. And I think some of the artists you included here is considered jpop, like LiSA, Yuuri and Fujii Kaze, tho LiSA has a really strong rock sounds. Actually I think the one you mean the biggest artist in Japan is probably Kenshi Yonezu, not Fujii Kaze. Fuji Kaze ofc is a really popular artist, but he still considered a rookie, his popularity was compared to Utada Hikaru because both are really young when debut and quickly becames popular. But Kenshi Yonezu is obviously the one that rule the mainstream chart rn.
One Ok Rock and Radwimps are like my Japanese treasure 😭 Whenever someone ask me to recommend a Japanese music, I automatically tell OOR or Radwimps 👑❤️👏😊🙌
King gnu’s vocalist (satoru iguchi) study in voices major college by the way this song is easy to sing than theirs another song(the hole, familiar, sanmon shosetu). For my bias(Daiki Tsuneta), he have other project that call Millennium Parade which is more fantasy and he also a composer.
Lisa really is the Queen 👑 of Japanese music. No words to describe how amazing she is. PETITION FOR MORE LISA REACTIONS!!! - also maybe react to shout baby as well at first take. Thanks. 👏
takahiro in one of his interviews said that he wants his band to be a special and non traditional metal rock band , they focus on the topics and vocals , and made a music that anyone can listen to it and love it even non-fan of rock , to keep the japonese rock alive and fresh , and you know what , i think they succed on doing that , and now they are from the biggest and unique rock bands in the world , and i'm proud of being fan of them since middle school around five years ago , and nowadays i listen to them even more than i used to do !!! i recommend for you guys to check more lives of theirs because they always kill it !! first song i heard of them was "WHEREVER YOU ARE'" i hope you check the live ver of it soon and welcome EFRA to the fandom of ONE OK ROCK Never heard of other artist in this video , sorry because i am not into japonese music industry / Anime (maybe movies and series ), but i enjoyed them especially LiSa and King GNU ( i've already saved their songs in my playlist) and BTW i've search and found that their name is King Gnu not Kgnu !!!
I for one would love a part 2 ✌ 🙌 Fujii Kaze is not a legend but is on his way to being one if he keeps at the momentum he is going at. If anyone is interested he actually has a free concert streaming in like 4hrs (13:00 JST, Sept 4) He along with Yuuri and Kenshi Yonezu (who you did not get to react to) are some of, if not are, the biggest breakthrough artists in Japan in the recent years. The song "dry flower" you reacted to by Yuuri was released in 2020 and still continues to lead in the charts. Kenshi yonezu's "lemon" released in 2018 dominated, and he actually got song of the year twice with the same song 🤷🏾♀️ and he just released a new album which is equally pulling numbers. A few actual legends: utada hikaru, shiina riingo, gackt, Ayumi hamasaki I'm actually now very curious to what SIRUP's actual name is, For as long as I have listened to him, I never really wondered. But now that it's been brought up I'm going to think about it everytime I listen to him. I tried to Google it and found nothing. Edit: Also the king gnu track 白日 is pronounced haku-jitsu and it means "bright day" 白(white "bright") 日(day)
That was cool. Thank you! Some other Japanese artists and bands for you to check out: Yonezu Kenshi (he's fantastic!!!), Official HIGE DANdism (they're hot right now), YOASOBI (they did several First Take's), Yama (she recently did an awesome First Take!), Eve (the animated video's with his songs are fantastic... and his songs are fantastic... he's got two live video's), SEKAI NO OWARI, ichikoro (instrumental), Kitani Tatsuya, Reol, and THE ORAL CIGARETTES... to name but a few. And more OOR, of course!
I hope you will do more One Ok Rock reactions. They are not just an ordinary rock band. Their lives are always the best. "I was king" orchestra version and "clock strikes" live at Yokohama please. 🤘

so as a japanese music fan, i do appreciate this. I go from japanese pop music (90s, 2010s), old ballads, rock (alternative, metal, pop), classical theater. Oh my, they have amazing vocalists, musicians, thespians, and dancers..It is such an amazing world!!! :)
ohmygod japanese music is a TREASURE TROVE OF EXPERIMENTAL ARRANGEMENTS!!! i think part of it is that the japanese language is spoken phonetically so you won't mishear or hear it awkwardly no matter how you cut up each syllable, so they can play with melodies and harmonies in miraculous ways!!! also regarding musicality, most japanese artists are classically trained BUT there are exceptions and are self-taught. MUSIC IS A SUPER BIG THING in japan, and not just pop. jazz, classical, rnb, soul, rap, hiphop, rock, are so very alive in the japanese music scene and you can truly hear it in every hit that comes out of japan. THERE'S A REASON WHY FOREIGN ARTISTS LOVE PERFORMING IN JAPAN!! they know they're in a crowd who knows their music! im so excited for your journey through the japanese music scene!!! i'll be subscribing for more!!

YESSS
IM READY FOR THIS!!!!!
Yesss pleaseee!!!👌🏻
I mean YESSSS but I'm not sure if they can do that cause of the copyright issue.....BUT I WANT THAT
Aw, Fujii Kaze just had a free online concert on YT just a few hours ago! Just him playing the piano and singing in the rain in the middle of a stadium. It was transcendent.
I hope you will react to "I was king orchestra version" of One OK Rock, the drummer "Tomoya" shines here.
UP!!!
UP!!!
ONE OK ROCK!!! Most of their stages are emotionally charged. Please react to more live. You won't be disappointed!
You need a Podcast for only one ok rock live versions. They are out of this word. They have a concert with a symphonic Orchestra.
One Ok Rock always give me goosebumps when I listen/ watch them. So moving , so powerful. I want to see them. The band too amazing.
Fujii Kaze is amazing!! Especially his song Kaerou. It's so beautiful!
YOU KNOW WHAT??? I remember that there is a live version of Tomoya (OOK's drummer) playing their song Taking Off, the camera is right behind him, you should check it out (i'll leave the link below)

kenshi is slept on by ppl outside japan his music is pure gold
Official higedandism is dope. I like their songs 😊😊😊
Ado my queen

Gosh, Taka’s parents are both singers you know so that’s why he has such a good voice. Oh wait, you really have to listen to My First Story too 💋 the vocal of this band is Taka’s brother
oh i agree i fans my first story too, greet from indonesia :D
Wait I thought his parents are both in medical field. And at first his parents are against him doing music.
@@muhammadrizkialdinoputra3357 omg i love them so much ♥️
I have seen OOR live in Australia and it doesn’t matter the size of the stage, venue or crowd, they still put this much effort into every single concert.
Please check out if you can.
fujii kaze is an amazing singer because he likes to experiment with his songs, his song "Kirari" is one of my all-time favorites!
One ok rock have been my favorite artists to see live. I try to attended each time they come to my city, I haven't seen another artist who puts on a show like them.
Omg thank you so much for checking out ONE OK ROCK - we are (live performance) I really enjoyed this reaction💗
Omg same. Tvxq got me into kpop. I was into jpop until i saw them singing doshite kimi wo suki ni natte shimatandarou
x2
That was almost exactly the same for me too. I went Rurouni Kenshin anime > L'Arc-en-Ciel/TM Revolution > Jrock/Jpop > DBSK/TVXQ > Kpop.
Omg same I discovered TVXQ while enjoying Japanese releases (their Japanese releases were superb) and then got into TVXQ and Koop
Kaze Fujii is an amazing piano player! He has been showing his piano technique on RUclips since he was teenager. You should check his own channel and go over from the oldest.
That’s what I’m taking about! I watch OOR live videos on a constant basis because they are too damn good.
Let me help you, here are my recommendations of One Ok Rock's songs :
- "C.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h."
- "Clock Strikes"
- "Deeper Deeper"
- "Yes I am"
- "Cry out"
- "Living Dolls"
- "Ketsuraku Automation" (this one isn't available on Spotify, you can check this on RUclips)
@@CrazyFangirl-cf8yh Thank you dear human being 🙏🏼 Will check it out when I’ve time and will let you know.
You should!
@@carloalvarez6602 ok 👍🏼
@@CrazyFangirl-cf8yh hail to their old songs.
Who likes Japanese music has a supreme taste ✨
The first take only have a few hip-hop and rnb artists, if u want to check them out
- Shota Shimizu
- Hentai Shinshi club
- SKY-HI
- Creepy nuts ( and Umeda cypher)
- Def tech (they're more like hawaiian reggae)
- Miliyah Kato
- Rude-a
- EXILE Takahiro and Ryuto Kazuhara from Generations (they're from a pop group, but their song is more rnb I guess)
Thanks for having japanese music a feature friday on your channel..Although im here to watch for One Ok Rock reaction..Im glad you both like there music..
OMG 😭😭😭 tq so much for this...I'm literally crying WTH 🤧🤣
I'm in love with Japanese music ❤️ please react to Radwimps, they're also an amazing band! Yuuri is amazing too.. there's also a FIRST TAKE version of his song Dry Flower and it's mind blowing and please react to his other song Kakurenbo on THE FIRST TAKE too
Also I don't like rock but when it's Japanese rock or anything related to anime, I just can't help falling in love with it 😂
Much love from Manipur, India ❤️🇮🇳
I was also expecting they will include Radwimps. 🥺 oh well, maybe there's part 2! 😁✌️ love from the Philippines 🇵🇭
@@keeeyteee yes Radwimps is just 😘❤️
Yasss! RADWIMPS 💕
OOR and Radwimps are like my Japanese treasure 😭😊❤️👑👏
Fun fact: Taka was once a member of an idol group from Japan's entertainment giant Johnny's Ent., but then he left before the group (NEWS, which turned to be one of the biggest Jpop idol groups) even releases any songs because he felt he's just not cut for it. AND HE WAS RIGHT. He did the right thing by being in One Ok Rock.
Also, someone commented here that Jpop paved the way for Kpop, and I think so too because even the first generation Kpop idols are fans of Arashi (the biggest Japanese idol group ever). I was a huge Jpop fan long before I knew Kpop and finally turned into an ARMY lol.
army here too
@@narendrakumargiri.2970 Hi there!
Arashi❤️
@@theaflores2365 Legends! lol. Even during the current hiatus their popularity is still so big.
Let me tell you i just got to know ONE OK ROCK 2 months back and i regret not checking them out early they're insane✨
One Ok Rock and Radwimps are like my Japanese treasure 😭 Whenever someone ask me to recommend a Japanese music, I automatically tell OOR or Radwimps 👑❤️👏😊🙌
Same, definitely my go to bands. Add Aimer, Lisa, Goose House, Ikimonogakari, and Asian Kung-Fu Generation, then that'd be my playlist.
I personally have found that some Japanese music has the most interesting, beautiful and unique melody arrangement
Yes!!!! One ok rock!!! Thanks!!!
Спасибо вам! Они нереально крутые! Их живые выступления просто взрывают мозг и душу! Спасибо!
Finally, completing the Asia's best music trilogy - Japan, Korea, Philippines. Eyy!!!
Lisa really is the Queen 👑 of Japanese music. No words to describe how amazing she is.
PETITION FOR MORE LISA REACTIONS!!!
- also maybe react to shout baby as well at first take. Thanks. 👏
Aaaaa you reacted to LiSA!!! She's one of my favorite japanese soloists, her voice is *chef kiss* and her songs are bangers, thank you sm
Fun fact: One Ok Rock's vocalist, Taka, was a former idol. He was part of the idol group NEWS back in 2003
I’ve got goosebumps and emotional through out the whole video. These are Artists blessed with the greatest talents.
takahiro in one of his interviews said that he wants his band to be a special and non traditional metal rock band , they focus on the topics and vocals , and made a music that anyone can listen to it and love it even non-fan of rock , to keep the japonese rock alive and fresh , and you know what , i think they succed on doing that , and now they are from the biggest and unique rock bands in the world , and i'm proud of being fan of them since middle school around five years ago , and nowadays i listen to them even more than i used to do !!! i recommend for you guys to check more lives of theirs because they always kill it !!
first song i heard of them was "WHEREVER YOU ARE'" i hope you check the live ver of it soon
and welcome EFRA to the fandom of ONE OK ROCK
Never heard of other artist in this video , sorry because i am not into japonese music industry / Anime (maybe movies and series ), but i enjoyed them especially LiSa and King GNU ( i've already saved their songs in my playlist) and BTW i've search and found that their name is King Gnu not Kgnu !!!
you guys one ok rock are KINGS the need a whole special for them alone
I COUNDNT AGREE MORE
I for one would love a part 2 ✌ 🙌
Fujii Kaze is not a legend but is on his way to being one if he keeps at the momentum he is going at. If anyone is interested he actually has a free concert streaming in like 4hrs (13:00 JST, Sept 4)
He along with Yuuri and Kenshi Yonezu (who you did not get to react to) are some of, if not are, the biggest breakthrough artists in Japan in the recent years.
A few actual legends: utada hikaru, shiina riingo, gackt, Ayumi hamasaki
I'm actually now very curious to what SIRUP's actual name is, For as long as I have listened to him, I never really wondered.
Been waiting for this. Finally. One ok rock is the best jrock band ive heard.
Then there's FLOW. One of the more famous band for playing some anime themes.

So far I've never seen a performance from One Ok Rock that doesn't amaze me.
so as a japanese music fan, i do appreciate this. I go from japanese pop music (90s, 2010s), old ballads, rock (alternative, metal, pop), classical theater. Oh my, they have amazing vocalists, musicians, thespians, and dancers..It is such an amazing world!!! :)
I'm 10 minutes in, I'm soooo hype with OOR!!!!!!!
Finally, OOR live perf reaction from you guys! Thank you❤
ohmygod japanese music is a TREASURE TROVE OF EXPERIMENTAL ARRANGEMENTS!!! i think part of it is that the japanese language is spoken phonetically so you won't mishear or hear it awkwardly no matter how you cut up each syllable, so they can play with melodies and harmonies in miraculous ways!!!
also regarding musicality, most japanese artists are classically trained BUT there are exceptions and are self-taught.
*We Are will always be superior.* Taka's voice is flawless! I always has goosebumps everytime I come back to their video 🤘

Fun fact about OOR: they are the one's who also direct the lights in their concerts. they are pretty particular. live peformance issssss awesomeee guysss... live is better than even the post prod live uploaded. i tell you i hear the band 100% but I can't hear the concert-goers. that was an awesome experience. taka also had a duet with arnel pineda of journey.
The best thing about One Ok Rock is that they always sing from the heart. You should check out their songs "Be the light" and "Stand out fit in"
Okay. So ya'll HAVE TO react to ONE OK ROCK - We Are (18 Fes Ver). Tears, I tell you, I get tears every time.

I LOVE YOUR REACTION ON WE ARE!!! INCREDIBLE LIKE THE VIDEO AS WELL
I know I was one of the many people requesting We Are. But being the first in the list was not good for me. Now you have me here crying lol.
Ever since I discover this song it has been on my playlist (now I listen to the English version) but watching the concert video with the Japanese lyrics reminded me the message and a video from long time ago of a group of teenagers singing with them and now in all tears. It’s been a long time (I cried when I first listened to it)
i find chord/time progressions in japanese pop/rock music very engaging. never a dull moment.
Yoooohhh this is a nice surprise!! :O
Btw. Thankyou guys for checking Japanese artists esp. One Ok Rock. Hoping for more reactions of you from them. I think you would also love their concert in 2018 with orchestra. That was really a great show to watch esp. the orchestra give a deeper feeling to the songs they perform. Their performance of "I was King" and "Fight the Night" in that concert was my favorite. They have a video of it here in YT. I hope you could check that out too. You won't regret it. Really 💙
