I’m an upcoming wrestler here in Chicago and I hear nothing but stories about how CM Punk did the promotion he had dirty. Also a few stories of him brings douche! I always took the stories with a grain of salt but how everything is playing out in AEW I believe them now!
Kid Kash did cut a pretty hard promo on Punk in 2016 about how he would love to knock him out and how he never liked him before he got knocked out less than 40 seconds in his MMA fight. If they had fought in their TNA days Kash would have likely edged but honestly if they had an MMA fight Punk likely would have beaten Kid Kash, look up Kash's fight in 2008, he didn't know how to do a proper takedown or clinch properly.
I felt punk was a raven type character and got over with that same emo/goth type demographic. That demographic still is strong look at his recent wwe/ aew supporters same demographic supporting him .
Kid Kash is speaking some straight facts. Eddie Guerrero and Benoit, despite their stature, were both more credible as champions than Punk. Eddie was charismatic as hell and Benoit was a tough sob.
@@ICHIBAN-cz8ih stop punk was a draw and not his fault he didn’t have a supporting cast around him like Chris and Eddie so the numbers are invalid in this argument
He is a walking contradiction. In a previous interview he couldn't understand why they didn't put the ECW heavyweight title on him he's 5ft 7 and probably 200lbs and he is talking about Punk and Rey looking ordinary.
Kinda weird for someone like Kash to criticize Punk for trying to appeal to the "true" wrestling fans while also saying he never watches wrestling and hasn't since he was a kid. He doesn't seem to be the person to be judging or setting standards when he's not even a casual fan. Also kinda weird to even get into wrestling if you aren't a fan unless your scouted by a major promotion since the odds of ever making money are so slim.
It's cause wrestlers like him and others who put in the stupid mentality that "I have to be big! I have to look rough and tough" and you see someone like Punk who gets over and becomes a megastar they all get jealous cause in their mind "he didn't put in the work I put in" they can't except that their career was a waste of time lol 😆

You look at the greatest world champions like Lou Thesz, Harley Race, Ric Flair, Bret Hart and even Okada, they carried themselves with a degree of legitimacy or toughness or style or class. Punk looks like the guy bagging your groceries or doing soundcheck for some crappy emo band.
Rey mysterio is a international legend. His mask is iconic recognizable any place you go and is a merchandise seller he 100% deserve winning the big gold belt. I like cm punk he’s another favorite of mine but his physique/style always came off sloppy. Rey use moves that psychology wise made sense on breaking down giants. I like kid kash especially early tna cause that’s when I was watching and appreciate his “old school” beliefs But he’s part of the reason indie guys do random flips for no reason other than it was a cool spot. So before kash blames Rey changing world title game (which he did) how bought kash looks in a mirror for inspiring shitty high spots in todays wrestling. Get ko’d in 40secs again Kid.
Don't agree too much with Kid's stance on Heavyweight Champions and the idea that wrestlers *must* look a specific way to be taken seriously, but i totally see why he has that opinion. It's almost like you don't have to go on a vitriolic profane rant to get your points across.
I like Kash and always liked his TNA work and feel his Pit Bulls tag team in WWE would have been great had the WWE went with it further etc. The business started drifting away from just "big men with great muscle looks) in late 1990s with Mick Foley I feel. Foley showed you don't need that look to be a World Champion. TNA followed that by pushing AJ Styles that same way as champion and Rey Mysterio in WWE followed etc. In all I'd rather see talented guys get the World title no matter what size they are. I can like someone like Batista being a World Champion like I can CM Punk.
@@uncledrosselmeyer6480 I'm sure he didn't...to you. But you also need to take a quick look at yourself and see that even tho you've done the same things you preach about but yet.... No one except maybe a few fans even know your name maybe what you think works and is best for the wrestling business is just something you tell yourself to not realize all that work was a waste of time.

Reckless Youth was a guy that had all the tools to be a mega star but, never got a mainstream push
Always liked Kid Kash in the ring, but his opinion that only “Jacked up” wrestlers should be the company’s “world heavyweight champion” is bs!! Saying Rey mysterio didn’t deserve to be champion because he’s small, that’s ridiculous! It’s crazy that he would say that, I guess he puts himself in the Eddie & Chris Benoit category as “small jacked wrestlers”. But my point is, if you’re in the wrestling business, you probably have a dream of becoming WHC, not the US champion. Sense you have to be literal, maybe wrestling should just take the heavyweight out of the name, & just call it The World Championship 🤷🏾♂️
Hell no! your World Champion should look like he can beat your ass, Yes wrestling is "pre determined" or "scripted" but you still have to be believable and creditable. Hell even Bret Hart & Shawn Michaels looked wayyyy more like ass kickers than these vanilla midgets.
That tends to happen with some companies doing it right by just stating your champion of that company without the weight class, making viable for everyone
punk is my favourite wrestler, but goddamn if i dont dislike mr brooks with a passion, however its that jacked up thinking that got wrestlers barely hitting 50 until 10 years ago
Shawn, Bret etc. were shorter than Punk and Bret never even showed his upper body much. Punk had a respectable physique that you could maintain into your middle-age without steroids. His whole 'straight edge' gimmick was about being clean, which arguably involves saying no to steroids and overeating. Make him stand under a dim light in his prime next to the average guy and he would look like a hunk. Benoit, Eddy etc. paid the price. I don't like Punk's microphone work (promos) and I think he aged out of his gimmick but in the 00's all the way to the early 10's I feel he had a massive cool factor which resonated with the popular culture of the time; he looked like a musician whose instrument was his body. I feel that he captured the youthful energy of the time similar to how someone like Raven did in the mid to late 90's with his gimmick. They looked like normal guys who were enhanced by virtue and a good work ethic instead of chemical substances (I heard Raven had substance issues but his private life is another story).

Yet, who do you think drew more money? Rey or Big Show? The guy who draws the most money should be on top.
@@stevemeadors8521 I think Rey Mysterio has made a lot more money for the company than Show, Rey is considered a legit sports hero in Mexico. Other than that Floyd Mayweather thing his segments were always pretty forgettable.
@@cb3648 Which is why Rey was deserving of being on top.
Yeah but going by that logic then the rock Jericho HBK Bret hart all those guys shouldn’t of been world champ because they weren’t the biggest guys either
So Punk was watching ROH matches in TNA even though he joined ROH after TNA. And I’d love to know what phone he was watching matches on in 2002.
And PPV buyrates didn't drop as rapidly by 100K when they were champions at the same time compared to CM Spunkstain's run
@@ICHIBAN-cz8ih stop punk was a draw and not his fault he didn’t have a supporting cast around him like Chris and Eddie so the numbers are invalid in this argument
@Mike Edwards bruh ur name is Mike Edwards 😂😂🤡🤡🤡
He is a walking contradiction.
In a previous interview he couldn't understand why they didn't put the ECW heavyweight title on him he's 5ft 7 and probably 200lbs and he is talking about Punk and Rey looking ordinary.
@@beauclark1650 Well sure, but is he wrong?
Even as a kid I had a hard time buying Rey as world heavyweight champion during his run.
Kid Kash was more jacked in his prime than Punk ever was. I think that was the point.
@@marvingamez9057 Exactly people only hear what they wanna hear
No point in fighting about body types, thankfully there are many different promotions that offer different product and style of wrestling.
Kash was awesome in ECW.
@@al56890 I understand the mentality that people should look like a star (for the casuals especially), but Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes were top guys in the NWA (and neither were body guys and NWA did well when they were on top) and most guys outside of WWE weren't body guys.
You don't have to watch wrestling and know everything about it to be a wrestler, just like most boxers don't know anything about the history of boxing.
@@kevthegoat8774 I'm not saying you need to watch it to know how to be a wrestler, but he's criticizing wrestlers who want to appeal to fans while admitting he's not a fan. It's a bit like when I hear of people who take over franchises trying to change them because they don't even like the product.
@@al56890 lmao are you special needs, kid?
Well people are still chanting CM Punks name while some people don't even remember Kid Kash unless they watched the worst years of ECW

Fucking true. He always had that damn pencil neck too.
Rick flair...? Seriously? The fraud of frauds..?
Rey definitely earn world heavyweight championship back then I like Kid cash to was entertaining to watch in the ring
I’ve been to the White Trash cafe. There was a older lady with one eye there.
Kind of a disconnect there with the look thing. Does Kid Kash remember what HE looked like during his career? Talk about looking like just some guy.
...Are you special needs/are you partially deaf..?
Great impact run still
Edge was another wrestler who was fairly small but became a WHC
Edge is 6 ft 5
Weight wise he kinda average
I like Kash and always liked his TNA work and feel his Pit Bulls tag team in WWE would have been great had the WWE went with it further etc. The business started drifting away from just "big men with great muscle looks) in late 1990s with Mick Foley I feel. Foley showed you don't need that look to be a World Champion. TNA followed that by pushing AJ Styles that same way as champion and Rey Mysterio in WWE followed etc. In all I'd rather see talented guys get the World title no matter what size they are. I can like someone like Batista being a World Champion like I can CM Punk.
Lol foley didn’t show anyone anything
@@uncledrosselmeyer6480 I'm sure he didn't...to you. But to a lot of folks who don't have great physiques , look like they can grace the cover of a magazine or a huge epic superstar destined to be World Champion. He was a guy someone joked about in WCW at him possibly being a World Champion. He was one of the early ones to show you didn't have to look a certain way to be World Champion.
Mick Foley is 6-4 and about 275 at least. Not exactly a little guy.
I feel like Kid Kash is what Owen Hart would look like today
Hears the thing you can go on and on about how wrestlers need to this, and they should of done that. But you also need to take a quick look at yourself and see that even tho you've done the same things you preach about but yet.... No one except maybe a few fans even know your name maybe what you think works and is best for the wrestling business is just something you tell yourself to not realize all that work was a waste of time.
would you EVER date someone with the same last name as you?
I'm not massive but I turn heads when topless as I'm sort of ripped some say really ripped!!!
i never understood the praise CM Punk gets especially online (Only seen his work in ROH & TNA a lot of his draw is more smoke and mirrors imo… He also a grade A narcissist if he think he changed everything without guys like Devon Storm, Reckless Youth and Christopher Daniels he would never made the massive impact he made timing & luck come into play. Reckless Youth was a guy that had all the tools to be a mega star but, never got a mainstream push
ODB from Minnesota
Nice
I had a feeling it was Tracy brooks , AJ Lee would of beaten Punks ass if he made her sit to watch his matches lol .
Renee Dupree could walk a beach and turn heads but what did that get him?
Hey!! It’s Quint
best thing you can do when CM punk do a promo is press the mute button 😂
punk is my favourite wrestler, but goddamn if i dont dislike mr brooks with a passion, however its that jacked up thinking that got wrestlers barely hitting 50 until 10 years ago
Shut up, mark
Why do Renee Dupree and his friends hate punk personally so much? Did he do something to them?
Bret was 6'0 peak while Punk is 5'11 and Michaels was peak 5'11.
Bret had muscles bro, what you talking about? He wore that string top
@@extremepop324 I'm sure he had muscles. It's just that he hid his physique more than Punk. He is even on record mocking bodybuilders. I think he liked to eat and never had a lean physique.

The thing cm punk only became big cause people where tired of seeing triple h or Cena or flair or taker as champion

I disagree, I loved Eddie and Benoit from their wcw days but when Vince gave both those midgets the heavy weight belt is when I said enough pro wrestling for me, glad I stopped watching because it’s been downhill since then
Why? Benoit was the same height as Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle and more jacked than both of them, you didn't stop watching when they won the titles.
To be fair Sami is not a main eventer and his look is meant to make him look crazy since his character is a nut job but i guess that's his opinion on how wrestling is
Also would argue Sami is underrated and is a great wrestler
