My favorite nirvana song. One of the few I still cover. The way Kurt played it live is actually easier then your version but still awesome. Yours is more true to the recorded version. Nice jagstang too. I have a ‘95 fiesta red.
i used to think that Kurt solos made no sense at all when i was a teen ager in the mid nineties but as i was growing up and started playing the guitar because of Kurt Cobain i discovered the guy's solos has a lot of sense and you need to be very very talented to write such songs and solos .
Hint for playing this: I've seen this played live and the high E is actually tuned up a semi tone...It's how he gets that G7 sound during the verse, he doesn't play that 546 thing, he just hits the strings open.
I've wanted to learn this song for so long but the lessons i found were not specific enough, your video really helped me learned this song thank you man
Man this is awesome and that bit Kurt changed later on was a bad choice, easier…. Yes but it really needs to be the original g7. Best tutorial I’ve found on this classic song. You did it justice!
You really deserve more subscribers. Keep up the good work! Just finished your Little Wing lesson and am learning Life Without You from you. Thanks man!
Alex, love your vids. I bought two already from your site. They are great. I saw a place to make song requests but can't find it again. Anyway, there is NOTHING on the net when it comes to a RUDE MOOD SRV lesson. Right up your ally. The world NEEDS a lesson on this song. Maybe two? Electric and Acoustic.
great vid took me aweek or so but i got it down now. ya im just getting back into guitar since the 90s and kurt was reason then and now so fun learning nirvana riffs mixed in with some sabbath
That solo is really bad tbh and you should have stuck with the studio version. The studio version has that wicked lick where he comes sliding down the chromatics and then hits that tight little four-note descending motif from the pentatonic: super simple and it actually sounds good unlike this clunky solo.

I can hear the lyrics in my head, man this is such a good song, thanks for teaching me it.
All I can hear is the riff

What a tedious teacher
Not really tedious at all actually. Maybe you find learning in general tedious, don't worry me too.
