- This video is about Bison Hockey Stick Repair System. I show you how to repair a $350 Bauer Hyperlite carbon fibre composite ice hockey stick with a $50 Bison hockey stick repair system purchased from Amazon.
I found that the Bison system was easy to use and it worked for a mid shaft break. Bison says their system does not work for a break near the bottom of the shaft.
After 8 uses of the stick after the repair, I have found the repair to be successful. No flex or flex point change that I can feel. Did not use the butt end extension to replace the 1" of broken stick. The wood extension I feel would have added an undesirable weight to the stick. The repair added a slight weight difference. I am happy with the repair. I hope this video will help you to fix your expensive hockey sticks. Thanks for watching.
Update: I gave the stick to my son which plays junior hockey and practices 2 to 3 times a week. The stick lasted for a couple months. What broke was the blade and not the repaired shaft.
You could have had Integral Hockey repair it for you for like $60. They repair with a carbon fiber reinforcement in the inside and outside.
I swear this looks like my grandpa’s garage 😂
hello do you know what the part that goes inside the stick is made out of? thanks
Carbon Fibre. Similar to the same material the sticks are made off.
