Painting is often where all comes together. Did a paint job on 1 of my props and it passed from TOY to "Believable" from a distance. But I'm NOT near what we see in this vid (not equip for it either).
I love that you still make everything so that anybody can build it without expensive Machines, and you explained that the Lasercutter just sped up the process but was not mandatory!
Thank you so much! I‘m really thankful to have the support of your laser cutter! But yes, everything is absolutely doable by hand as well! It just takes longer! 😅
Hi there. Your best 'tool' no disrespect to him is your sweet Benny. He has that perfect touch when it comes to airbrush. You are very lucky to have him. The swords are amazing. You know what might be cool to do? How about putting very fine lights down the center of the blades? The ones I am talking about are about 1 quarter inch and on a thin wire. Think of how it would look with Benny's paint job. If you do it please show me. Love you guys. Give the fur babies a big hug and kiss for me. Stay safe out there. Take care and God bless.
Kamui, thank you very much for another incredible video. I've been following you for a long time and I've learned a lot from you. I'm already making my first pieces freehand, before everything I did depended on pepakura but with your tips I'm making a lot of progress. Thank you very much and a big hug from a Brazilian fan.
I really loved the little victory dance at the end there. Even if it's "only" eva foam the swords came out amazing. You two are definitely the Master Level Makers. I use you as the benchmark when I build a project and try my best to get it to Benni and Svetlana level. Thank you for being so amazing!!!
i love your videos so much :D i’m a cosplayer and i learn so much by watching your channel and you also really inspire and motivate me to really start on that prop i was debating whether to do or not 🫶🫶🫶
I have always wanted to do cosplay but never felt confident enough in myself. Now I have a friend who is interested so planning to take the leap and atleast start learning to make Props. Your videos are super helpful (though some are probably to complex for me) and I plan to get your books when I get the chance to start. 😁
I cannot recommend "Anti-Vibration" gloves enough! I purchased mine at my local hardware store, but there is padding in them to help your hands from hurting so much after dremeling for several hours! They are typically used in construction and I've been able to dremel for hours without repercussions!
does anyone know if there's an in depth tutorial for the work done from 2:55 to 3:45. including the scaling to paper as well. this part is really stumping me and it's ALWAYS glossed over as a matter of fact thing that for tips or tutorials we're just supposed to know how to do
Its nice that you can find the models all ready to go... but for those that you can't find, you can rip the models directly from the games. I think that would be a good video to share with everyone.
Used to be a website call Xantax that was an absolute repository of how to extract models for almost any video game from any system or game engine. Unfortunately dead now. Your next best bet is usually to find the model already uploaded, there are some great websites with pretty decent libraries of game characters. Lastly, if all else fails you can use something like NinjaRipper but it can be quite the process to rip the model you want.
Hey Kamui, ive been following your channel since you started with expanding foam and your tips have been wonderful! I'm getting back into cosplay since covid and i've been doing this everytime i build something. Do you heat seal at all building props before glueing them? Or do you just dremmel the details then just glue them on first before heat sealing them?
Thank you so much for the sweet words! I often try to heat seal smaller details before I glue them on, but actually forget it mostly. So I mostly just finish the whole prop and heal seal it then at the very end! 😅
@@KamuiCosplay Thank you for the reply! Ig im heat sealing it too much, bc sometimes itll kind of become undone after i glue pieces together. Ill def test your advice more in the future.
Heyyy! I’ve been following you for quite a long time and I love your work. I want to ask if you could please please make a video on how to make Katarina's greaves from League of Legends. It would mean a lot to me because I have no idea how to make armor like that and you would make my day and help me achieve my cosplay. Thank youu! ❤️
Love the great insights! Do you know of any not-water-soluble primer for EVA foam? I would love to build things that are more rain/sweat/tears resistant :D
hi kamui! i've got a bit of issue here, so i have downloaded the blender app and the character's 3d model, when i opened the blender app and clicked import, unfortunately there's no mikumikudance button. so how do i fix it? thank you! love your amazing cosplay and craft! you always inspired me 🥰
Every post ... more beautiful... cooler projects... done with amazing skill ... mire beautiful... enjoy the education you give us ... did l say more beautiful ? Thank you
I know you to a lot of anime cosplays but please teach how to do a rogue cosplay! My dauther really loves her and all the rogue costumes to buy are very bad quality
Hey Svetlana! I just want to know I fact I actually saw you on Friday this week! But sadly, as an introvert, I wasn’t able to say hi to you😭 Maybe till next time because I will be here on Madeira trying to find you once again!🫶
People almost always make props too big and dont understand how large head proportions and similar in games make the props look ridiculous when translated by a real brain looking at a real person. Props needs to be sized right, and often slightly too small is a lot better than "real" ingame size.
I suppose this is nice but as someone who doesnt have any interest in hoyoverse games there are very little Games or media where you can freely get 3d models.

The construction seems straight forward... but the paintings always mind-blowing
Benni is a true painting magician!

Yes please. Your craftsmanship is superb.

I just can't get over how good you both are!! WOWZERS!!!!
Thank you very much!!! 😊

I could watch you guys craft all day! Its so inspiring!
I wish your videos would get the attention and support that they actually deserve
I love watching you dremel that high density gray eva foam. It looks like it sands very smooth, I'd love to get some myself!
Kamui, what would you say is a MUST in your shop? everything you do is so freaking awesome
Thanks so much! My favorite tools are the dremel, the heat gun and the soldering iron! The sewing machine is probably the most important one though! 🙌

These look so good. Amazing work as always!
Will there ever be a masking tutorial? It seems like one of the most underrated things in crafting
I love your cosplays!!! I would love to see a matching Feixiao cosplay..Also if that was Clorinde’s gun I would love to see a matching cosplay!!
This is so far above what I can do. This is professional class.
Those look amazing.
Wow, very impressive!

Awesome work
Most expensive puppy backscratchers ever😅 cool video
It was so nice to meet you at Cyprus comic con!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
💜💜💜💜 omfg these are magnificent
Love it! 🥰

Good point! We did this already in the past with some projects and this technique is clearly super helpful as well!

Those turned out so amazing! I don't know why all AAA studios don't focus on cosplay when making their games. It's free advertising!
Finally, her gun blades
You guys are so inspiring 😄 Do you have any advice about making 3D model paintjob scratch-prove. I've always scare of making swords with sheath 😂
Jeez... Can't wait for your MH Wields cosplays
It would be pretty cool if you made Kraven the Hunter's Vest for cosplay
Corgi!❤
I am anxiously waiting for the video from CCC I had an obligation and did not travel

I struggle to get the model to mmd and then getting the to blender,

Always happy to help! 😊
And yes. you can try Plastidip or Gummidip as well! It’s a spray on rubber though and you cannot brush it on like Flexbond.
Definitely beat a certain youtubers metal vereion, can actually hold this properly
can you turn on subtitles thank you
When downloading the MikuMikuDance Model, where do you download it. I am new to blender and don't know how to use it.
Can you teach us how to make our own 3d model swords
Hi, what is the name of the type of foam you use to make, for example, cosplay of the Zinogre armor that you made?
Corgiiii💖
Toujours des costumes et armes de folies réalisé avec un grand talent 🤩👍
Thanks so much! 🙏
Can you share the template with me?
do u guys have a file for these blueprint?
I downloaded a black swan model but it's a zip how do i convert to pmx cause i have the mmd addon already and idk how to open it in blender
Just unpack the zip, it’s inside! 😊
Corgis love sword pets
are you going to cosplay the monster hunter wilds armor??
Looks incredible I guess you didn’t jump into a pool to cool down the metal to forge the swords
Corgiiiiiiiiii❤

You make it look too easy. That was a fantastic build.
You should like make a lingsha cosplay
I really wanna know where cosplayers get their fabrics from…
I thought you have a Discord Server? I can‘t finde a Link?

8:13 hahahahaha :D
I know you to a lot of anime cosplays but please teach how to do a rogue cosplay! My dauther really loves her and all the rogue costumes to buy are very bad quality
With the right tools, it’s so super easy to do all this.
Ha ha, believe me, it‘s not about the tools! Just like a great car doesn’t turn you into a great driver! 😅
cool video

Anyone have a way for a game like FFXIV?
omg
You did such an awesome job on this , thank you , your beauty and talent make you our Khalessi. Bending the knee now.
"Filmst du schon?" 🙂
Could you please recreate Durandal from Library Of Ruina? I'm trying to cosplay as the Black silence for a school event.
bring me home mom

Naruto Uzumaki cosplay please ❤❤❤😊😊😊

Much respect for traditional old school crafting props! But If you have a laser you should just move to 3d printing. Would have cost you less to.
We have three 3D printers, but I personally prefer old school foam crafting! I just enjoy it more! 😊
