With the insane level of damage you can deal with the level 3 BBI weapons, your Strength and Magick don't really seem to matter much, and if you can dodge or block well, Health and resistances don't mean much either. I guess all that leaves is Stamina.
We don't know how stat growths will work in the sequel or ? They could just switch your stats when you change vocations making min/maxing only possible through gear (modslots or trinkets or whatever). All my DDDA "builds" are a) high stamina or b) all the stamina (ranger).
-Base Strength and Magic do matter for a few things. Wraiths for example. Fully leveled 200 Strider, Gold-Forged Heaven's Key, Barely damages Wraiths- Edit: And I was today-years-old when I found out that Base Magick does not contribute to Enchanted Weapon Damage. Note to self, next Strider I make, max level as Assassin. SMH.
It matters but you can get away with unbalanced stats as someone else said, so long as your weapons are strong enough. However what gear doesn’t replace is damage resistance, no matter what equipment you use if you have low core magick/physical defense you will feel it when you get hit by a strong attack.
I'm obsessed with Dragons Dogma, and Dark Arisen, I've sunk millions of hours into those games, I'm excited for DD2! And absolutely love this channel! I always get video updates on my phone! :) awesome!! 😂😊
Yeah. I learned that it doesn't matter much what job you use to level up. In the end gear is the most important thing. Can't wait to see your runs in DD2!
I'm pretty much a red vocation main at this point, but I have to say, if the rumors are true, I really will miss force hatchet bow damage in dd2. the best archer in the game as far as I'm concerned.
It's somewhat hard not to when certain skills are locked behind class walls. But you're right, as even the grind to just max level each vocation (killing guards, I believe was "the way") was a slog. That sort of min maxing is what stopped me in my last playthrough.
@@Draliseth if you want to grind vocation levels/discipline points, you don't need to kill the guards, just have the pawns do it. Go afk and do something else, you can just stand on the wall outside the Church in upper Gran Soren, guards will never climb up and your pawns will slaughter them.
@@CsStrez Nah.. I've been trying to avoid that sort of thing. Video games aren't supposed to be chores, even if it's a chore I can automate and walk away from.
@@Draliseth if I want to level up vocations and get a ton of discipline pre-Grigori, I normally just go monster hunting. Kill the Devilfire Grove Drake, and the common Chimera/Griffon spawns + any fodder in the way. Works well and I always have port crystals in those regions.
I don't normally comment twice but I just wanted to say, it'd be very cool to see a similar video with a sorceror leveled entirely as an assassin. same attack stat with 258 magic instead of strength. I'm sure holy focussed bolt would still be strong but it'd be interesting to see if sanguine stalk and caged fury are able to still make up for the bad stats the same way framae blades and the force hatchet can.
I do enjoy to play as magic based classes with 200 lvls of assassin. Can you make a video where you try to make MK op without using magic? Since the only skill viable is abyssal anguish I am curious to see how you would face different scenarios without damage buffs
Am I confused? Do augments stack additively or multiplicatively? I see autonomy clout ex (1.2, 1.2, 1.35) Multiplicatively that’s 1.94 which is over the 1.8 cap or is it add the percentages then apply, meaning 1.75?
I have not seen a direct answer anywhere. So if stats dont matter and health is just for getting hit.... shouldnt we focus a pure stamina build? Im around 130 sorc and trying ma, i seem to have very big stamina issues. I mean stamina and carry weight help all classes!

resistances can be usefull...for example when you climb fire drake. So it comes to what Nihil said long ago...strider all the way and you are fine :D

Thats why I do not min/max in this game. You sacrifice a lot of fun just leveling one vocation the entire game just to reach the maximum number.

Stamina is what I focus on. My preferred build typically go Ranger to lv100, then Strider to lv200. Balanced Split with the highest stamina
