I just built one to carry chairs and blind bags. I think it's a little small but it does get the job done for some smaller things.

I made the exact same thing and pulled my chair, blind bag, and decoys. I pulled it in 200 yards both ways with maybe 125 of them on ice and snow and it was trashed first use

Update request? How did it hold up?

About as expected for the price and material. I used them on two hunts and they worked out real well in the water but when dragging them on the ground they showed their true nature. They were not durable like the Jet Sled or beaver tail. I ended up going with the Jet sleds and have been very happy in the quality. If you r looking for a cheap alternative, the homemade version will work for a couple hunts but they will not last long depending on how rough you are on them.

@@g7outdoors497 so the jetsled or beavertail version woud hold up on dry ground for extended pulls? I have to haul a lot of gear for sand hill cranes and ducks over a mile to a public hunting area and there is no driving up to unload gear. Would you recommend those sleds, or just go with big backcountry backpacks and haul gear on my back? thanks

wrap whatever line you are using to tow the jet sled around the complete sled and it will last for a long time on long hauls. I have drug mine on solid ground for more than a mile filled with deeks and gear with no issue
