The tunes here are The Gobbie O, The Lads Of Duns and Jim Anderson's Delight (Ronnie Cooper). Why 'Rapper Jigs'? These types of tunes are often played for traditional sword dancing from the North East of England, namely rapper sword dancing. This set is both a tribute and inspiration to that tradition, in particular an integral side in rapper dancing - The Newcastle Kingsmen - of whom Kevin has been dancer and musician for many years and considers them a major influencer of his development as a fiddle player, dancer and folk tradition enthusiast! Special shout out to Bryony Griffiths (Hampson) from whom he learned the first two tunes, and Sebastian for grooving it up as always!
