Went to school with Garth Crooks...right behind the old Victoria Ground...supported Spurs 52 yrs now because of Alan Gilzean...went most games from 77-86 this video brings back great memories.
I remember watching this on the TV. Back then the FA Cup was a major trophy, equal to winning the league. It was exciting and almost everyone (even people who didn't really watch football) would watch it. The build up to the match was exciting. Each round to the final was exciting. Now it's been watered down because of the changing to European football. Clubs are more interested in finishing in the top 4 (without a trophy) than actually winning a pot. It's crap.
Look how far we have fallen from those days. Sad. Terrible owner and terrible chemistry of our spurs team nowadays. Every one of them needs to be replaced.
That white home kit was stunningly beautiful.
In the early eighties Garth Crooks & Steve Archibald (fed by the Genius that is Glenn Hoddle) were truly world class.

Still one of my favorites great team
Brilliant Video!! Keep up the good work dad
I still think Hoddle is the most talented player England have ever produced. Although Bobby Charlton is the greatest around player we've had

Magic moments.I wouldn't of been happy if I had been Wolves playing a "neutral" semi final in North London though! COYS! ❤️

Talk about Kane and Son, Archibald and Crooks were a pretty dynamic duo.
I was 14 going on 15 that season. Glory days
I miss that team to this day
Different era but It still the best
This is when I started supporting Spurs.
And youve only seen 4 trophies lifted since then...
The good old days, when we played exciting football. Ups and downs but always interesting.
Look how far we have fallen from those days. Sad. Terrible owner and terrible chemistry of our spurs team nowadays. Every one of them needs to be replaced.
C&a what a combo
Our players showed up on the big occasion in those days, we need to rediscover that.
Quite amazing how all three Villa players followed the ball for our first goal - leaving Crooksy totally unmarked. Schoolboy stuff.
Please note no 5.3.2 or 4.4.2 just a 2.3 5 still can't beat old way
Leicester city did the league double over spurs 2-1 both games
