Mike, your heartfelt words made your story all the more heart-breaking-- to know that duty to your country resulted in almost losing your mind. It's a testament to your mental strength that you were able to shield yourself and others from the horror for as long as you did. It wasn't an accident that the officer who appeared on Christmas Eve understood your state of mind. We hope you have reached the point where you are the one who reaches out to another suffering veteran. Good luck to you and your family in all the days ahead.
Thank you all for sharing your story. Thank you for your service. I have never seen anything even close to war, however, I work with Power Paws Assistance Dogs, in Arizona, where we place dogs with people with disabilites. We have a vet program and watching these videos is more than helpful to understanding our clients and the the events they have been through. Thank you again for sharing with your fellow warriors and people like me. ~Carey

You were very, very lucky to find treatment that actually helped you at a VA medical treatment facility. In our area there is little 'personal' and more like a long line at a TSA checkpoint ushering you through. I wonder why the location of the VA and the providers are undisclosed in these kind of videos.
