I haven't used one of a fitting that size yet but it would be the same type of coupling / nipple but in a 3" size? I mainly use 1" and 1.5" and 2" fittings.
@@GrantBurton I guess he means that the water will apply pressure on the elbow when the valve is closed. I don't know if it can cause any real damadge though.

I don’t foresee that ever being a problem, those fittings can withstand way more pressure than the water in these types of tanks would ever apply.
