I found a great deal and bought T-Rex 2 in my country for 189.99 euros and my first impressions are only positive, because i have been using the amazfit t-rex pro for about all summer. The comparison is immediate and it favours T-Rex 2 in all aspects.
Now this is a proper smartwatch for outdoors adventures. Really like the battery life, button controls option without touching the display, hot+cold+wet resistance, additional app support, text replies. You didn't mention always on display, from sales page it shows as available. Please do show how AOD looks and the different designs if available in all your smartwatch reviews, most reviewers miss showing the different options and a device that can't show the time without requests from user isn't a watch. Great review, thanks for keeping us informed and entertained
I used to have an old Amazfit Pace, it far outlasted any fitbit I've had. Couldn't remember the company name and of course I see this a week after I bought a Garmin Vivoactive 4. This looks like a great watch and excellent review.
I've been using this watch for about a year now and I love it. It has a nice looking and the battery lasts for 3-4 Weeks with regular usage and no "always on display". The gps is very precise and I regularly download hiking routes and save on the watch. Extremely useful and the hiking navigation is free this way. I wouldn't recommend it for serious survivalists because using the navigation can reduce battery life for 1 day but if you are not planning to stay out in the wild for days without any option to charge the watch then it is a very good watch to buy.
@@loftlike I am an HGV driver . That involves physical job as well. I did hit the screen a couple of times. There are no scratches on the screen or any other damage. So it is very durable.

Great review, but I am wondering about two things I hope they have improved. Does it have a virtual notification light or a dot that indicates new notifications and has it better app support for notifications. My old T-rex and T-rex Pro had problems knowing which app notified me. It said App: and then the message, but not which app it was.
@Tech4All I bought it and am super happy. Too bad it hasn't a notification light/dot. Luckily, all notifications show the app icon, so you know which app they come from. Great battery, many new apps in the Zepp store, new watch faces. I love it. :)
No you can't reply to messages or make calls on it. I believe it says it in the description. You can only read them along with the other notifications as well.

Nothing beats a timeless automatic timepiece, the very fact of the movement of those watched is unbelievable, these features are all there in a handphone
Mechanics are vintage pice of art. They are marvelous and beatyfull. But. I would take them in a shooting range... Or into a gym... Or into a street fight that is high probably in some countries if you where a ROLEX or Bierling or OMEGA speedmaster... Or A LOT of different things that WILL damage the mechanics guaranteed. So yes. If you are inactive. You can wear luxury mechs each day. For other mans it not an option and they will looks gloriose on the shelf... I like watches that I can wear each day. And when I see that I burned 1000+KKAL in the training I proud not only from the watches but also from myself. And I live in harshe winters region where -40 celsiose or -40 Fahrenheit degrees is a common thing... This watches are cool.
Do you know how to upload GPX maps to your watch? Even when they are thrown on the phone, ZEPP does not search for them, if I use other programs such as total commander, which offers other applications to open the GPX file, ZEPP is not there.
I recently bought a Ticwatch 3 Ultra I have to say I prefer my GTS 2 mini. Ultra is a nice watch I just don't use the functions. I do like the T Rex though. Great video thanks
I wonder though about it’s heat tolerances. I now use the sauna regularly at my gym and it’s typically 170-185°F (76.7°-85°C) for 20-30 minute 3-4 times a week.

I have a Pro Trek I love it. One thing it does have is built in maps. And a small Little thing too is the pro trek has a flashlight built in. That’s handy even if it’s for a small watch. Love the T-Rex though. Might have to get a few more features before I abandon my Pro Trek IMO!! Great video
I saw on the box while opening that is showed the watch that looked like it had real hands. I've also seen this same watch advertised in that same manor. Not the face you are using, but one with I think 3 hands. Hr, Min. Sec hands. Is that a different watch or same with hands that look very very real? I'm very much interested in this watch but this is perplexing to me.
Oh my goodness... This watch looks like it could actually replace my Fenix 5 Plus. It turns out that I don't really find the loaded maps in the watch very useful and I always hike and run with my phone so... Something to consider.
@@TechMishka Yeah, I imagine, and I did consider this. My Fenix 5+ sapphire is pretty indestructible. It's having some charging issues now and I'm thinking or replacing it. Just don't want to drop another $600 when I might only a $150 watch runner... I'm not scaling Everest or skydiving into combat zones. I'm a morning and afternoon street and trail runner with the occasional race.

Well I only buy Casio that has altimeter barometer and compass 200 m rugged and solar power six towers that I can get a signal in fort Collins Colorado that's the only Casio watches I buy for that reason I have not replaced the battery in my Casio watch for over 15 years and is still running it's solar powered it runs off to six towers and it's 200 m and it's still amazing it's the prw 3500 and it works flawlessly
Great Smart Watch! But I broke the strap and customer support sucks! Can't get a replacement strap not to mention there's no tool to replace the strap! Upsetting and frustrating!
Garmin is overpriced. But its technology is great. In fact, Amazfit using Firstbeat tech, a subsidary of Garmin. This watch is a cheaper version of garmin. I guess...
thank you for the awesome content sir may I know how accurate is the sleep tracking ? and how does its overall accuracy compared to Fitbit? and does it have fall detection? am upgrading from Honor Band 5 which has pretty accurate sleep and steps tracking given its price i was looking at Garmin but the price tag for equivalent features simply beyond my paygrade while most Galaxy Watches have battery life of only 1 day or so having a 3w battery life really saves the trouble of carrying extra chargers while traveling can't wait to see the review on the latest T-Rex 'Ultra' as well

Yeah navigation is pretty good with the routes. Import is easy - just open the gpx via the app and launch it alongside the workout.

It still has similar way of displaying the messages. So it is not a significant step up.

Yes - download the GPX, then try opening and select to open with Zepp app. That's it - then you can find them in the "My Routes" section.

It is the same kind of watch. They just use a different watch face - something like the wallpaper on the smartphone.

I am impressed with the Pro 2. It is a lovely smartwatch and a decent upgrade. If price is priority - the old generation still makes perfect sense.

am upgrading from Honor Band 5 which has pretty accurate sleep and steps tracking given its price
i was looking at Garmin but the price tag for equivalent features simply beyond my paygrade while most Galaxy Watches have battery life of only 1 day or so
having a 3w battery life really saves the trouble of carrying extra chargers while traveling
can't wait to see the review on the latest T-Rex 'Ultra' as well
I am quite happy with the sleep tracking - a lot of details, just as it is with Honor Band 5.
