My mother and I used the ashtrays for candy dishes because when my kids were little they was always wanting candy and we would be busy or something and couldn't take time to do something so they knew where the candy was thank you for asking
I just wanted to let you know that your videography is top notch and so is your editing. I also like the way you show us the items and prices and sometimes give us a description of the item in the store. You even leave us in suspense wondering which of those items made the final cut. Then for the ones that did, you go into detail in the car. Lastly, we get to see how you styled them in your home. Your grade is an A+ on the entire video you produce. Thank you so much.
I have literally binged all of your videos. I just love them. They are so soothing and I learn so much. Please keep them coming and never change ! Love all your fabulous energy! You are BEAUTIFUL 😘
I love Liquid IV. I’m a Wildland firefighter and after doing initial attack on a fire in Alaska this summer, my legs cramped up so badly at bed time. I looked into my bag and I didn’t have Emergenc-C or anything to get rid of cramps, but a co-worker had Liquid IV and I drank it and got rid of leg cramps in a few minutes. Thank you Liquid IV.
Hi Laura, I have a collection of Murano ashtrays. I keep them on the window sill over my kitchen sink, where the sun shines through them. Makes doing the dishes more fun. 🥰 If I'm saving some seeds (eg from an avocado) to plant, I rinse them and put them straight in those to dry out in the sun and breeze thru the window. 🌱
You have definitely taught me to be more open to pots and items that I would have passed by before. When you show how you add greenery to a simple pot or vase, it makes it look so good. You've opened my eyes to possibilities. Thank you!
I’m coming around to the “80’s” mauve. Your styling was right on! I use glass ashtrays for spoon rests. Also they’re great to display nature’s best. Example: rocks, seeds, driftwood, beach glass, etc.
You are a delight! Positive, real...not fake, or you are a wonderful actress... i like tbe editing showing you finding the piece in thd shop but not taking us through the entire visit! And we dont hVe to hear thd noises and loud music. Thanks. Then, a bit of the history and findings on the items, and yku demonstrate decorating! You ard a great find!!! BTW: That adorable, very supportive husband is a keeper!
Hey Laura I just had gallbladder surgery this morning and I saved up videos to watch in between my walks and little bit of exercise in my naps and very little bit of sleep I wanted to have plenty of videos to watch! I was so happy I have two of yours!
I absolutely 💯 loved this vlog,Laura is just so fun an l loooooove how she shows how to style what she bought amazing, those mauve vases are gorgeous together,My Dads old glass ash treys back in the late 70s l reuse them for my plants or keys or jewellery endless things to recycle them with,an there like a reminder of my Dad we lost awhile ago, take care,😪😪😪💙💙💙💙
Great finds!!! I would definitely have kept the small “woven” vase, it was gorgeous! I use the vintage ashtray’s like a bowl of sorts to hold items I’m working with while sewing. For example; buttons or safety pins. As I breakdown men’s dress shirts for fabrics they hold my buttons until I add them to my stash. Or as I quilt and remove safety pins, into the dish for safekeeping! One of the greatest things about vintage items is incorporating them into your home for unintended purposes.
Oh my gosh! I love of the art pottery you found, especially the honey pots (which I collect:). I really need to head to your Goodwill's. They aren't far from me so I don't know why I don't spend the extra 20 minutes each way of travel to try them out! Note to self - just go! xo
I buy vintage glass art ashtrays. I put them all around the house for when the grandkids are over. Each one is filled with a different treat, eg chocolates, kisses or eggs. Just bought another one today. Orefors. Love your videos. 🤗
Hi Laura! Love your growing group of pottery! Another use for the clear (Lucite ?) holder is in your kitchen & it’s holding cookbook open so you can glance @ your recipe!😃 I love your sense of style & your upbeat manner, you make the videos such a wonderful learning experience for me! Thanks ! 😊🥰💕
I've loved the 80's ever since I lived it. I passed up on a mauve vase like the ribbed one just the other day because I though people still didn't get it, but I guess they finally do. It's hard being trendy decades before people start coming back around.
I’m so glad I discovered your channel, but am so bummed I didn’t discover it sooner. I work for Portland Parks & Rec and my team is responsible for Skidmore Fountain. That sketch would have been a great addition to my office. Thank you for the great videos, I’m learning so much through your content and had a successful thrift haul today.
Laura, I was thrifting at Goodwill a few weeks ago and saw 3 of the most gorgeous wine glasses! The top was purple and the stem and base were clear glass. I heard your voice in my head saying “Keep looking and you might find a set”. So I kept looking. I ended up with a set of 8! And they still had the original sticker on them. I have a friend who loves purple and wine so I am set for her for Christmas this year!
Hi Laura, it's 7:30 here in steamy Florida. I love these new videos about decorating your house. I made a Goodwill haul yesterday. It's still in my trunk.😄
Lol I wouldn't have picked the 80's vases.. HOWEVER they looked AMAZING w the painting the way you styled!!! 🎉 *I love putting sea glass & shells in my vintage ashtrays!
I would've screamed to find the 80s pots, the 1980s never left with me and those dusty rosy tones are my fave! I never find them here in Australia. Speaking of pink pottery, is that a huge studio pottery weed pot on the bottom shelf at 19:45..? 😍 I can never get enough studio pottery, you found some great pieces!
Hi Laura, Just wanted to say I prefer the haul and styling at the end of the video. The way your videos used to be! It really breaks up the serenity of the shop along with me.
If I’m not mistaken, that amber ashtray looks to be a Wayne Husted for Blenko. It’s a piece from the Amoeba collection. I find Blenko pieces are easy to identify by the weight and feel. They are very heavy for their size and they always seem to have a slight texture to the surface of the glass.
Yes, my thoughts exactly! The Fenton and Blenko factories are fairly close to one another. Years ago, I was able to your both on a day trip! I always feel like Blenko is more free form than Fenton. :)
I like your newest entry hall decor; the silver dish makes for keys to be more visible, and I just love the silver box lined in red velvet. You added a couple of mauve colored pieces from the 80s that also look nice. I've been around long enough to know everything comes back. Just have fun playing with it. Nice video, Laura
Hi Laura!!! I love your taste in things SO much 😃 To answer your question… I really like to use some vintage ashtrays for pocket change, rings, and certain larger ones for candy or my phone charger or to set my phone in😊
On your wooden clover plant stand, I bet the inlay pieces are ivory. My father served in WWII in India and returned with similar items. Over the years my oldest sister dug out some of the pieces and gave them to boyfriends. M&D were none too pleased!
Those eighties vases would be perfect in a really glam/boho pinky girlie decor environment. I’d totally market them with the white colored pampas grass shoots and pale green eucalyptus! They’re not exactly my look either but I also see the value in them. Great eye as usual Laura! So such a natural!
I've been watching you for a long time... I feel like we could have a nice time thrifting together and I just want you to know I enjoy you and love watching the progression of your home and everything! I wish the best for you take care!
You picked the perfect art for your new mauve vases! Love your styling always. I have one of my old ashtrays...a flat pewter-like metal. It is by my kitchen sink with my dish brush and sponge at easy reach.
OMG!!!😵😍🥰I have that clover table but mine is shaped as a circle! I literally got it on offer up for like $4. Yesss absolutely a perfect perfect plant stand. You’re channel is amazing! My daughters and I go thrifting all the time♥️♥️🫶🏽
I would never buy maybe BUT you made it look amazing!! Leave it to you and your fab style! Great wood base for your plant. My goodwill only has garbage. Great finds! The honey pots!!
The 80’s vases, the Haeger Mauve is a great classic shape & a nice neutral color. I wasn’t excited about the Mexican Mauve would’ve left that on the shelf. Loving all the studio pottery pieces especially the chip & dip 👍🏻
Im a thrift junkie and have found so many treasures thruout the years, but i find that quality stuff is getting harder to find. Ironically cheaper quality stuff, but more expensive than ever. Your finds are always so awesome
@ccway 7 Boy, do I ever agree with you! I've been thrifting for longer than a lot of you have been on this planet and there are great things I used to find that I never see these days... There is always gonna be stuff out there in the wild, but the quantity and quality will continue to evolve, and not necessarily for the better. Those days are pretty much gone forever.
I recently found the prettiest little set of what seemed to be 5 matching ashtrays (with one cigarette holder!) I kept one for my tea/coffee spoon and gave the others away for the same purpose and one to my niece (for tiny earrings!). We all love them!
“ I crack myself up! “ you crack us up too!🤣 you’re adorable! Nope, not into the 80’s...didn’t like the decor then either!😖. I have a lovely deep emerald green vintage ashtray that I use as a spoon rest on my stove or when I’m working at the counter. 🇨🇦
You opened my eyes to some different items. The mauve vases looked wonderful how you styled them. I'm a collector of studio pottery. I love the organic feel of it. Can't wait for Fridays sale ! 🤩
She’s right about that we had very little here on the East Coast between Jacksonville and Myrtle Beach South Carolina although Myrtle Beach is good wheels are a little bit better but they are definitely nothing like yours definitely!
Same here... Im a thrift junkie and i find that quality stuff is getting harder to find. Ironically cheaper quality stuff, but more expensive than ever

Thank you so much Irene! I put so much love and work into my videos so I am so grateful you appreciate it 🥰❤️
I found some round vintage cut class ashtrays that are the perfect size to use as coasters
I love the way you styled those mauve vases. But then you could probably decorate your house with popsicle sticks and it would look good!
😆😘 I have seen some fabulous popsicle stick art before 😂
😊😄
I have a popsicle stick lamp!!
I cannot properly express how much I've enjoyed the quality of the video and the photography of the products and stylings. Loved every single piece.
Thank you so much Sofía! 😊😘
The chip on his shoulder WAS funny. And ad a nurse vwhen I saw the amber glass piece I saw an anatomical heart!
I have literally binged all of your videos. I just love them. They are so soothing and I learn so much. Please keep them coming and never change ! Love all your fabulous energy! You are BEAUTIFUL 😘
I love the format of this video. Showing everything you picked up, giving us information on the item, and then showing how you'd stage it. Awesome!

I pulled my vintage ashtray out of my cupboard! I forgot how cool it is. Thanks
"he's got a chip on his shoulder" I thought that was so funny too. Love the way you style things!
You have definitely taught me to be more open to pots and items that I would have passed by before. When you show how you add greenery to a simple pot or vase, it makes it look so good. You've opened my eyes to possibilities. Thank you!
Ashtrays make great spoon holders.
You crack me up when you crack yourself up. Your the coolest chick I've never met!
I use old funky ashtrays as trinket dishes. Great for holding keys and change by the front door, or jewelry by your bedside.
I would never have picked up the mauve 80’s vases but you styled them so beautifully. Love the stuff you are collecting for your tiki party!👏❤️👏
I’m coming around to the “80’s” mauve. Your styling was right on!
I use glass ashtrays for spoon rests. Also they’re great to display nature’s best. Example: rocks, seeds, driftwood, beach glass, etc.
I wouldn't do a whole 80s motif, but the way you incorporate these odd pieces into your mid-mod/boho vibe actually works. Nicely done!
You are so lucky, I was out yesterday and found nothing but junk .. lol I couldn't make a living on thrift in in my area
You are a delight! Positive, real...not fake, or you are a wonderful actress... i like tbe editing showing you finding the piece in thd shop but not taking us through the entire visit! You are spoiling us with 2 videos😀 Everything you got today was lovely as usually👍
The pottery piece towards the end I
For chips and dip is I think iron mountain stone ware pattern is white top
I use vintage ashtrays under some of my plants.
Your Bergdala with the pink bands will mix nicely with the pink vases.
Love that date night includes shopping at Goodwill!
It’s funny how your art piece looked completely different styled with the mauve vases! I love it! 🌺💋💋
Hey Laura I just had gallbladder surgery this morning and I saved up videos to watch in between my walks and little bit of exercise in my naps and very little bit of sleep I wanted to have plenty of videos to watch! I was so happy I have two of yours!
Wishing you a speedy recovery ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks!
@Faye Mills
I think Laura's videos are just what the doctor ordered! Wishing you a rapid recuperation.
Those vases bring out the mauve in the artwork you placed them next to. Lovely.
Spoon rest while cooking is a way I have used vintage ashtrays
I absolutely 💯 loved this vlog,Laura is just so fun an l loooooove how she shows how to style what she bought amazing, those mauve vases are gorgeous together,My Dads old glass ash treys back in the late 70s l reuse them for my plants or keys or jewellery endless things to recycle them with,an there like a reminder of my Dad we lost awhile ago, take care,😪😪😪💙💙💙💙

Oh keep these little extras coming!!!! I loved your trip but I'm really glad to have you home hitting the thrift stores! 😁😉
Summer full of pickin coming your way! 😘
I just love the picture of the cat an lady, love all your pick ups today x
Oh my gosh! I love of the art pottery you found, especially the honey pots (which I collect:). I really need to head to your Goodwill's. They aren't far from me so I don't know why I don't spend the extra 20 minutes each way of travel to try them out! Note to self - just go! xo
Loved the white Art Deco vase you bought on another video! You have such an eye!
I buy vintage glass art ashtrays. I put them all around the house for when the grandkids are over. Each one is filled with a different treat, eg chocolates, kisses or eggs. Just bought another one today. Orefors. Love your videos. 🤗
Thank you for your encouraging words on using the things we love 😊❤
Those 80's mauve vases are fabulous! Total Golden Girls vibes 😁
Hi Laura! Love your growing group of pottery! Another use for the clear (Lucite ?) holder is in your kitchen & it’s holding cookbook open so you can glance @ your recipe!😃 I love your sense of style & your upbeat manner, you make the videos such a wonderful learning experience for me! Thanks ! 😊🥰💕

Yes 80s are huge here in Portland
Great decorating. The only thing missing is the wicker on the wall.
Love how you shop and tastefully decorate with the items you purchase.
Your black vase @10:17 also has mauve on the neck so it could go with the 80's planters
I would never have picked up the mauve vases but they looked great when you displayed them
My favorite find from this video is the little blue weave ceramic pot. I really like that one.
I’m so glad I discovered your channel, but am so bummed I didn’t discover it sooner. I work for Portland Parks & Rec and my team is responsible for Skidmore Fountain. I am convinced that you can pretty much style anything you find. Excellent!
Aww 🥰 Thank you!!

I love the Irish creamer!
Lots of beautiful pieces you thrifted. Love your eye for style. Thanks for sharing.
*I love putting sea glass & shells in my vintage ashtrays!
That ashtray would be great to hold an in-use cooking utensil next to the stove!
I use old ash trays for make up brushes, and painting brushes for acrylics.
Laura I just thrifted vintage square wood plates in two sizes at goodwill .
Hi Laura,
Just wanted to say I prefer the haul and styling at the end of the video. The way your videos used to be! It really breaks up the serenity of the shop along with me.
Loved this video as always! Your shopping cart is a true testament of your talent! Such beautiful items all stacked in there, BRAVO!

I like to put hooks on them with some sort of chain or rope. I hang them outside with bird seed. The birdies love them. ❤❤
I’m always on the look out for simple pottery pieces to decorate my home. Your style is amazing and I get so many ideas from you!! 🥰🥰
I'm a plant enthusiast as well. Planters are horribly expensive now and I buy as many white ones (deep and large) as I can at resale on Marketplace.
How long can you put greens in vases owithout dirtying up the insides? just water? Please show us a vlog on how to display plants in pots?
Chip on his shoulder WAS FUNNY!🤣 I always crack myself up, too!🤪
Love the vases an the picture of the lady an the cat
Love the 80’s mauve vases for styling!
Hi Laura!!! I love your taste in things SO much 😃 To answer your question… I really like to use some vintage ashtrays for pocket change, rings, and certain larger ones for candy or my phone charger or to set my phone in😊

I like the way you decorated with those mauve vases. I don't love 1980's style much but to me the way you styled them feels more modern and classy.
I use ashtrays for all kinds of stuff. Lately, decided to use one for a soap dish in my bathroom remodel and I love it!
Delightful. Love your passion and excitement. Love your posts. Learning so much. Thank you. Will keep watching
Those eighties vases would be perfect in a really glam/boho pinky girlie decor environment. I’d totally market them with the white colored pampas grass shoots and pale green eucalyptus!
They’re not exactly my look either but I also see the value in them. Great eye as usual Laura! So such a natural!
I use round ash trays as coasters
Great haul! I love your taste in decor. But, I'm not ready for 80's decor to come back. Give me 80's music, but keep the decor. LOL
😂 I’ll take the decor over the music but Jesse would be right there with ya!
Love your style. I love the mauve vases and how you styled them..all the pieces fit so perfectly together
Thanks! They’re growing on me for sure!!
We use the larger vintage ashtrays for wine bottle coasters😃
OMG!!!😵😍🥰I have that clover table but mine is shaped as a circle! I literally got it on offer up for like $4. Yesss absolutely a perfect perfect plant stand. You’re channel is amazing! My daughters and I go thrifting all the time♥️♥️🫶🏽
I would never buy maybe BUT you made it look amazing!! Leave it to you and your fab style!
Great wood base for your plant.
My goodwill only has garbage. Great finds! The honey pots!!
Those glass ash trays make fun nut containers.
The 80’s vases, the Haeger Mauve is a great classic shape & a nice neutral color. I wasn’t excited about the Mexican Mauve would’ve left that on the shelf. Loving all the studio pottery pieces especially the chip & dip 👍🏻
You totally hit the jackpot with all the handmade pottery! All my favorite things!
I luv your videos. I live 10 minutes away from Goodwill. you have opened my eyes on what to look for
Im a thrift junkie and have found so many treasures thruout the years, but i find that quality stuff is getting harder to find. Ironically cheaper quality stuff, but more expensive than ever. Your finds are always so awesome
@ccway 7

Carved wood, yes,yes,yes!!!
I use my large vintage glass ashtray as a bird bath for my african gray.
I recently found the prettiest little set of what seemed to be 5 matching ashtrays (with one cigarette holder!) I kept one for my tea/coffee spoon and gave the others away for the same purpose and one to my niece (for tiny earrings!). We all love them!
Just found your channel..love how you present your content..keep up the gr8 work..now to binge watch your past videos.
I have a white art deco style vase like the pink one. Good to know it was made in Mexico.
That honey pot would be good for your pumpking spice spices for coffee.
I really like the 2 vases. The colours work very with the items you already have. I love watch your thrifting videos.
You have a great Goodwill and it looks really clean. Great video
Love the mauve vases; and I think it look great with your painting. The lady in the painting reminds me of Madonna back in the day.
I thought that too about her face shape
You opened my eyes to some different items. The mauve vases looked wonderful how you styled them. I'm a collector of studio pottery. I love the organic feel of it. Can't wait for Fridays sale ! 🤩
I like the silver plated best
Hi Laura, love your thrifting videos. I do pick up vintage ashtrays too and use them as catch-alls.
You found more at one time then you could ever find In a year at the Goodwill's in North Carolina. Amazing
